Tyler Tasting Party T

his premier food and wine tasting event is

a must on Bucks County’s social calendar. Annually, the Tyler Tasting Party attracts more than 400 people to sample fine food and wines from over 40 local establishments. Past sponsors include First National Bank & Trust Company of Newtown, Chandler Hall, Comcast Cable, Gasper Landscape Design & Construction, Haldeman Lexus, Lower Bucks Hospital, Newtown Rental Center, and Rothman Institute to name a few.

Proceeds benefit students enrolled in the College’s Historic Preservation Certificate Program and the restoration of historic Tyler Hall, the French-Norman style mansion and cornerstone of Bucks’ Newtown Campus. This building is one of the most beautiful buildings in Bucks County. Former home of the Tyler family, the mansion now houses the College’s administration.

Golf Classic S

ince 1994, Bucks County Community College

Foundation’s annual Golf Classic has been held at some of the area’s most prestigious private golf courses, such as Talamore, Saucon Valley, Philmont, Jericho, Commonwealth, Manufacturers’ Golf & Country Club and Union League Golf Club at Torresdale. Annually, it attracts 140 golfers who enjoy lunch, golf, cocktails, dinner and awards. Proceeds support the College’s general scholarship fund as well as other campus projects and programs, both academic and athletic. Past sponsors include, Begley, Carlin & Mandio, Charon Planning, Customer’s Bank, Eastburn & Gray, Fox Rothschild LLC, Independence Blue Cross, PNC, kcba Architects, and Keystone Companies Group, Inc. to name a few.

Women’s Scholarship Tea

I

n 2007, a group of women started a social tea

in support of the “Salute to Mothers” Scholarship Fund, established by a retired Bucks faculty member. Since then, more than 75 women have gathered together each fall in Tyler Hall’s beautifully appointed Music Room to enjoy tea and desserts and hear from motivational speakers and grateful scholarship recipients. Proceeds benefit female students who support at least one child while attending Bucks. To date, the tea has raised over $80,000 to support more than 88 mothers who raised at least one child while attending Bucks.
