EDITOR’S NOTE One of the most interesting things about Bhailalbhai & Bhikhabhai Institute of Technology is the broad diversity of its brain power. At one end of campus we have the flourished education focus for engineering and technology, school to brilliant leaders and entrepreneurs probing the origins of the success.

On the other side of campus we have the Cultural heart—a hub for a wide range of creative pursuits in the traditional and cultural arts. And in between is a vibrant mix of intellectual sleight in art, creation and colors.

This vibrant mix is reflected in our institute's first magazine “BIT More” Doing bit more, bit more in every course of knowledge, we are here with a big marvel and new phase of work “BIT More”. This issue, not only, tells the story of college but includes academics, sports and art.

Moving from the sophisticated technology of the engineering, readers will learn about mysteries hidden in the chest of several talented minds. In addition to these features, this issue includes profiles of extraordinary faculties and students and news about the college. So sit back and witness the far-reaching expertise that characterizes Bhailalbhai & Bhikhabhai Institute of Technology. A lot of effort has gone into the making of this issue.We hope you enjoy reading the magazine. The best thing about this issue is that it represents the creative side of our students to a fair degree-something that we think we all need to reconnect with. Learning process is based on doing things and not merely knowing things. Until and unless learning solutions are related to real life and motivate the learner to acquire and apply the knowledge, the whole process will remain superficial. It is defined by the challenges that push your mind, “the goals your mind”, the goals that take you higher and the nurturing relationships that give meaning and purpose to life.

An engineering institution worth its name looks at producing global leaders. B & B Institute of technology has set specific objectives and planned activities for achieving excellence in all spheres along with technical Education.

They work for multi-dimension development of students so as they come out to be best of engineers and citizen for India.

MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

It gives me immense pleasure to pen a few words as prologue to our in-house magazine 'BIT MORE” which is meant for bringing latent writing talent, achievements and art work of BBIT PARIVAR. I congratulate all the contributors and the editorial board for bringing out such a beautiful magazine.

This magazine is fulfilling our motto of “We synergies Head, Hand and Heart”.

Education not only means acquisition of knowledge and skills but also means building character and employability skill of students. I am proud that our teams of teachers are in constant effort of this. We inherited a strong foundation to march ahead and achieve the educational objectives for a stronger and brighter India. Measures initiated by the Hon. Management, steps taken by the college administration, the willing contribution of the teaching and non-teaching staff and over whelming response and enthusiastic participation of my dear students in the college activities..

When all the constituents come together and work in unison, the expected results are bound to flow.

MESSAGE FROM THE VICE PRESIDENT The Students Central committee has been extremely active throughout the year and has initiated a number of sublimed ways to break the monotonous mind set of students towards studies and life at large. It has gradually innovated simple ways for students enhancement.

The active roles of students in the student central committee activities has led to the development of a number of skills and competences.

Moreover, students have developed both tacit and explicit ways of communication and work developments in social settings.

The goal of the student central committee at BBIT has always been to strengthen the bonds of trust, innovation, confidence among the students and staff. The activities held during the year has sustained the aptitude and attitude settings among students. It's said, the true fruits of educative process are visible through practical tasks. This has also been the prime focus at BBIT. Efforts have always been to have excelling spirals in education vis-Ă -vis its process and products via the activities of the students' central committee. BBIT magazine “BIT Moreâ€?, is a step towards acknowledging and appreciating the work done by students as well as the staff members. This is a platform where they will be able to exhibit their other talents and skills. I wish the editorial team all the best for the first edition of the BBIT magazine. It was our serendipity that we got selected to shoulder and accomplish the mammoth task of compiling and bringing out the annual magazine 2016-17.

The magazine records the achievements of faculties & students, It promote their skills in form of articles, photographs, sketches, drawing & memories of BBIT final year students.

The task of designing the magazine and having the opportunity of being student has definitely broaden our minds you get to talk to people and avenues open up for you which you thought never would. It has also taught us to balance our academic work & social life. At first, we spent too much time going out & hardly spent any time in making of it. And of course you learn from your mistakes & you soon learn to balance it all. hence, it can be said that mistakes leads one towards the journey of excellence.

We are highly indebted to faculties who gave us an opportunity to be the student co-ordinator of BBIT annual magazine.

The goal of this magazine was to find the diamonds buried in the mines of academic loads. Extra Curriculum Details Workshop: 1. A one day workshop on “Advances in Civil Engineering” was organized by Ms. Prachi Gor and Mr. Nandan Patel on 6th September, 2016.

2. A one day workshop on “Energy Conservation program” approved by GEDA was organized by Late Shri. Nikhil Vyas and Ms. Shweta Prajapati on 21st March, 2016.

A platform was provided to display their working project before institute and industry. Industry was involved in the competition for giving bigger zone to diploma students. Little Things Helllloooooo…!!!

Let me try again…

Hey!! Hello!!!

Finally…..

Hi!!!!

Let me start from the introduction part.

I am the leader of LLB. LLB bole to “Lord of The Last Bench”.

Though I genuinely doubt the term – Lord, as here, on the last bench, I never get any leisure of the Lord. In fact, most of the time I felt myself completely invisible like Mr. India. And ironically, my teachers do not have the red glasses to notice my presence in front of them.

Sometimes I thought it's not their fault. Its fault in stars, actually the bright stars of my class. The whole issue geminated by this book worm group, who used to come first (Before college time), assured their privilege seats (first two rows), and then by an unknown power they magnify all the attention of teachers. Their ability to grasp in supersonic speed, their desperation to give answers like Google and their art to ask intelligent questions like juries done the remaining work for them. I can see my classroom divided into two mutually disjoint sets-LLBs and The book worm group.

The book warm group has also a peculiarity of their less than zero tolerance. They cannot stand if any other student tries to register his/her presence in the classroom. Let me exemplify my statement. Last Friday, when our Mathematics class was going on, one of my friends (belongs to LLB group) gathered courage to raise a question to our respected Mathematics professor.

“Sir..!!!” He stood slowly, asked in the most fumble way like he had a question on his own question.

The professor looked up with the bittersweet smile, surprised and shocked with the new face. But his smile had evaporated as soon as the question echoed in the classroom.

2 “Sir, if the derivative of 10x is 10, why you say it is sec x?”

The professor was shocked, suspicious of his own teaching method. The classroom was filled With the needless fuss of book warm group. Turning their faces to 180 degrees, they looked to the questioner in horror.

After a suffocating pause, one of the books worm stood up with an intelligent diversion and took up the charge of their little kingdom once again. My friend sat down quietly, squinted himself more to hide his embarrassment.

So, it is not like we don't have questions, we do have but usually they are left unanswered.

And so today, when the book warm group is busy to welcome the new professor of Physics, we LLBs decide to stay in hibernation. Their excitements, over confidence and desperation declare their victory before the war. For LLBs, it makes no difference as the experiences of years tell us that every new experience is going to be coinciding with the old one.

Suddenly the hullabaloo of the elites converges into silence.

A silhouette appears from the lone entrance of our classroom.

The new professor of Physics is a madam of about my mother's age, with a round face and a golden framed spectacle of it. We all stand up to greet her, she responds us back with her ear to ear smile. One of the elites provides every meticulous information of the class for her and she hears him patiently.

Finally, after the vital conversation, the professor starts to teach us the new topic. From my angle, I find nothing excited in the scene and so I make myself busy with doodling, which I used to do in most of the classes.

Suddenly a calm voice enters in the air and comes toward me,” What are you doing?”

My neighbor nudges me and I look up.

“Yes, I am asking for you.”

“Ummmmm…. Me…. Nothing… mam…” I stand up and reply in a fumble way.

“I am sorry, Mam” I whisper in slow sound.

“No need to be sorry, come here with your book.” She says in a soft tone.

I stand still in my place, confused and little scared.

“May I see your book, please? “She asks again, with patience.

Everyone in the classroom is looking at me. Left with no choice, I take my book and walk towards the stage.

“May I? ”She motions her hand ahead and asks for the book.

I give it to her reluctantly.

“Oh, you are an artist!!!! You draw it very well.” She says by looking at the drawing which I made in the book.

I look at her in surprise.

She shows my drawing to everyone in class. I can see the pale faces of book worm group from the height of the stage.

“You did it very nicely.” She said to me.

“Thank you, Mam” I manage a few words to respond here.

“Do you mind if we now talk about Physics?” She asks with serenity in her voice.

“No, Mam” I reply and get down from the stage.

Looking at the defeated faces of the book warm group, I march to my place and she calls me again.

“Actually, I need a help from you.”

I turn to her with a question mark on my face.

“Would you like to help us in today's topic? Can you draw a neat diagram of vernier callipers on board? “She asks me, looking directly in my eyes.

I must admit here, the scene is really different for everyone.

A mixture of surprise, happiness, fear and excitement erupts inside me. I take a few steps ahead in hesitation and then something makes me run towards the first person on the stage wearing red glasses and who is very aware of my presence.

For the first time, I enjoy the learning.

These were the best moment of our life experienced ever. As an engineer I got birth here & I am proud of it.

The lifespan of a Human is 79 years, during this short time period some people achieve and some won't, some people win and some won't but at the same time there are some people who failed but never give up and later they become makers of history.

Thomas Alva Edison was an American inventor and businessman, who has been described as America's greatest inventor. He was the person who invented the filament of a bulb. While he was working on his bulb, he conducted 1000 failed experiments but at the 1001st attempt he succeeded. Having failed 1000 times he didn't give up but still worked till he reached his goal.

Success and failure are a part of our life, but the person who overcomes his failure and succeeds in life is a true hero and he will be remembered by all. Personalities like these definitely create history.

Abraham Lincoln was an American politician and lawyer who served as the 16th President of United States from March 1861 until his assassination in April 1861. Abraham Lincoln lost eight elections, twice failed in business and suffered a nervous breakdown. He could have quit many times but he never quit. After every failure Lincoln never gave up but tried again and again & later in 1860 he was elected as the President of United States. It never matters how many times you failed but if you keep on trying, one day you will succeed in life and the world will remember you for your success and the future generation will be inspired by your life history.

TRAPPED Do you feel trapped in a cat race where chasing high income has faded the passion inside you? 70 % of us enrolled in here, had a passion he/she dreamt to follow as a kid, but as we grew up, we understood what buys our basic living needs, that is high quality papers with Gandhi and Benjamin in it with different varying background colors which were introduced just to distinguish the value (amount) of that particular paper. These papers made us loose our hobbies and killed the real bliss our hearts always wanted. The reason why we loved pursing our passions was that we never expected anything out of it, that is when the creative ability shows up and you do something new in that particular activity.

So a thought from high above the sky falls onto you asking you what you should pursue, Basic Need or Inner Peace? So that the answer is, you should do both. Its sounds silly but try it. A great man once said “Have one for the kitchen and one for soul”. Do what you love and love what you do. Give time to your hobbies, chase it, don't loose the grip, spend an hour doing what you love and rest of the day, love what you do. A habit takes maximum of four weeks to get seled inside your unconscious mind. So don't procrastinate and ponder about it and just give it a try.

Toyota's MIRAI A non-polluting vehicle

“Mirai” is Japanese for “the future”; this is Toyota's way of saying. And the FCV's (fuel cell vehicle) are the future of automobile industry. This may have inspired Toyota to name its fuel-cell car as “Mirai”. This car runs purely on hydrogen, the most abundant element in the universe. It is perhaps the rst car in its class to undergo production and be on sale for regular purchase. Although, it's not con rmed for India, we expect that Toyota would soon unfold its plans for our country with new-age mobility solution. In India it is guessed that Toyota may launch this car in petrol variant, this launch will be less worthy to say it Mirai. It runs on Hydrogen fuel and emits water as by-product. The emied water is drinkable. Thus it's a nonpolluting vehicle. Its electric motor is as powerful and as efficient as a regular gasoline engine.

COLLEGE As we take the first step to our journey, its like you have entered the land to ecstasy. All that you have ever heard about college life is going to come true.

The tiring school days are over and its a new phase, the best phase of life.

Fast forward to a few days and the bubble has been broken by incessant schedules and nearing exams. You don't have time for all those experiences, its so hard to keep track of all that is going on. Initially you used to discuss and share this with your school time best friend but slowly you loose touch due to busy schedules. Life couldn’t be more miserable, this is vicious. But then you find someone, to share these preposterous experiences. This is someone who doesnt just listen but experiences all those things with you. You connect instantly. BLACK MONEY

Illegal money is called black money. Hidden money from government is called black money. Black money is money which is earned thru any illegal activity control by country regulations. Black money proceeds are usually received in cash from underground economic activity and, as such, is not taxed. Recipients of black money must hide it, spend it only in the underground economy, or attempt to give it the appearance of legitimacy through money laundering.

BREAKING DOWN BLACK MONEY

Possible sources of black money include drug trafficking, weapons trading, terrorism, prostitution, selling counterfeit or stolen goods and selling pirated versions of copyrighted items such as software and musical recordings. Black money is also the name of a television series hosted by Lowell Bergman that explores the secret world of bribery in international business.

CORRUPTION

The simplest definition is: Corruption is the misuse of public power (by elected politician or appointed civil servant) for private gain.

In order to ensure that not only public corruption but also private corruption between individuals and businesses could be covered by the same simple definition: Corruption is the misuse of entrusted power (by heritage, education, marriage, election, appointment or whatever else) for private gain.

This broader definition covers not only the politician and the public servant, but also the CEO and CFO of a company, the notary public, the team leader at a workplace, the administrator or admissions-officer to a private school or hospital, the coach of a soccer team, etc.

CORRUPTION IN INDIA Corruption in India is an issue that adversely affects its economy. The country owes it stunted development largely to the rampant corruption. As study conducted by the transparency international in 2005 shows that more than 62% of Indians had firsthand experience of paying bribes or influence paddling to get jobs done in public offices successfully. In a study conducted in 2008, transparency international reported that about 40% of Indians had first experienceth of paying bribes or using contact to get jobs done in public offices.

In 2015, India was ranked 76 out of 168 countries in transparency international'sth corruption perceptions index, th th rd compared tothits neighbors Bhutan (27 ), Bangladesh (139 ), Myanmar (156 ), China (83 ), Nepal (130th), th Pakistan (117 ) and Sri Lanka (84 ). The largest contributors to the corruption are entitlement programs and social spending schemes enacted by the Indian government. Examples include Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act and National Ruler Health Mission. Other sources of corruption include India's trucking industry which is forced to pay billions of rupees in bribes annually to numerous regulatory and police stops on its interested highway.
