Bayside Academy is the perfect place for your child to enjoy summer! Bayside’s 2024 summer programs offer a wide variety of options that will keep campers entertained and engaged.

Registration is available online only on Wednesday, February 21 to Bayside Academy students and Monday, March 1 to the general public. Registration grade indicates the camper’s grade for the 2024-2025 school year. Please check online for program minimums and maximums as well as other program details. Bayside Academy reserves the right to change the details of any camp/program. We are committed to our campers having a safe, healthy, and fun- lled summer.

Girls Soccer Camp $125

May 13-15 | 3-4:30 PM | Grades 2-7

This camp will give all girls, regardless of level, the opportunity to enjoy the sport while developing individual and team skills. Coaches will stress the love of the game and concentrate on fundamental soccer skills.

Top Gun Basketball Shooting Camp $100

May 15 & 16 | 3-5:30 PM | Grades 1-8

This camp is for anyone looking to improve their basketball shot. Bayside basketball sta and players will assist players in developing an easy, repeatable shooting motion.  We believe basketball is more fun when you can consistently hit the 3-point shot. Towards that end, we will impart the skills and techniques necessary to increase shooting-range AND con dence. Boys and girls welcome!

Boys Soccer Camp $160

This camp provides all boys, regardless of skill level or age, the opportunity to enjoy the sport while developing individual team skills. The camp stresses the love of the game and will concentrate on fundamental skills.

Girls Basketball Camp $160

May 20-23 | 3-5 PM | Grades 4-8

Girls will enjoy working and playing on the hardwood! Players will learn about an up-tempo, quick decision-based style of play. The fundamentals of ball handling, shooting, footwork, defending, rebounding, and transition will be taught during small sided games that will expose players to real, game-like situations where decision based basketball will be coached.

Boys Indoor Soccer Camp $140

Camp will consist of small sided 4v4 Futsal games. Futsal develops individual player pro ciency while promoting teamwork as players work together to solve problems.

Track & Field Camp $160

June 3-6 | 8:30-11:15 AM | Grades 3-7

All aspects of track and eld will be covered during this camp. Campers will learn drills of various eld events and hurdles, including long and triple jump, high jump, shot put, discus, and turbo javelin. Participants will run various distances throughout each session and conclude each day with a fun camp activity.

Wrestling Camp $140

Campers will learn the fundamentals of wrestling skills as they develop self-con dence, self-discipline, and physical tness. Campers will have the opportunity to engage in wrestling matches to further develop their wrestling skills.

Learn to play THE ADMIRAL WAY– a fun, fast-paced style of play. We like to run, shoot the 3, and attack the rim. Our players will be highly-skilled, tough, and well-versed in situational play. This camp emphasizes the fundamentals of shooting, passing, ball-handling, team defense, and character. Our goal is to give your child a framework for basketball success throughout the year.

Boys Baseball Camp $160

The camp will focus on all aspects of the game. Sta will emphasize fundamentals of hitting, elding, base running, and throwing. Campers will have opportunities to use their new skills in games during camp and will be taught drills and techniques they can practice and use on their own.

Campers will learn fundamental volleyball skills such as proper serving, passing, setting, and hitting techniques. O ensive and defensive strategies are also introduced. Sessions feature age-appropriate instruction for all.

Campers join the cheer coaches as they learn to dance, cheer, jump, and tumble. Camp will be held at the Bayside Cheer Gym.

Pickleball Camp $160

Pickleball Camp is designed for beginner to intermediate level players. Campers will learn the rules and fundamentals and play games while having fun. Good sportsmanship will be emphasized, and prizes will be given away each day for those who have earned them. Camp will be held at Lott Park.

Hip Hop Pom Dance Camp $140

Campers will learn hip-hop pom routines with a performance on the last day of camp.

Cross Country Camp $160

All aspects of cross country will be covered during this camp. During each session, campers will complete a warm up, a training session, and drills and “learn by doing” activities that varsity-level XC team members perform. Campers will run various distances throughout each session and conclude each day with a fun camp activity.

ARTS

Theatre Intensive $325

Campers attending this two-week intensive camp will work on the ner points of performing through learning a monologue, a scene, and a play. We will explore di erent styles of acting and work on both comedic and dramatic pieces. There will be a performance on the nal day of camp.

Campers will satisfy their sweet tooth as they explore and create summer's sweetest treats. Participants will create fabulous 3-D fruit art, paper-mache sundaes, and plaster donuts that are pretty enough to eat and oh so sweet!

This camp is designed for all art and nature lovers! Campers will gain inspiration from all things in nature: plants, insects, “Down by the Bay” walks, and more. Camp Bonus: campers will explore cyanotype sun print making and learn to create upscale art from recycled materials.

Campers will have a new door opened as they learn Spanish during this fun summer camp. Participants may join for one or more weeks throughout the summer. We will focus on exploring a new language by playing, dancing, singing, and creating stories together while building new Spanish vocabulary.

Puppetry: Performing for an Audience $230

Campers will learn the ins and outs of good puppeteering, from character creation to proper physical fundamentals. We will discover di erent styles of puppetry and learn about their histories, including shadow, marionette, Bunraku, traditional hand-and-rod, and more. Campers will perform their work in a showcase on the nal day. Hand-and-rod puppets will be provided, but students may bring their own if they prefer.

Campers will participate in a variety of dog-themed activities. They will read a variety of books, complete doggy crafts, and enjoy visits from various dogs and people working in our community. The camp will conclude with a doggy picnic at May Day Park.

Blast-off

with Piano $125

Blast-o with Piano is a wonderful week long opportunity for interested beginner piano students to experience how much fun playing the piano is and for parents to “try before they buy” a year of lessons. There will be a recital, “piano party,” at the end of the week.

Campers will learn about the elements of a graphic novel through reading several examples of comic books, graphic novels, and researching many famous graphic authors. Participants will learn how to create and sketch their own interesting characters, develop the plot of a story, and add pictures to enhance their narrative. At the end, students will have written and illustrated their very own short graphic novel!

Games Galore Piano Camp $150

Students play all sorts of games during this camp while learning all kinds of musical concepts. It is a win-win. The teacher loves it because students are covering so much theory, and students have fun playing games.

MATH & SCIENCE

ACT Prep Course $280

June 3-6 | 9:30 AM-12:15 PM | Grades 10-12

Steve Marine/Hillary Lee

This course will prepare students to attack the ACT with strategies, enhanced subject understanding, and focus. Five hours of English and reading instruction will be provided by Steve Marine, and Hillary Lee will provide ve hours of instruction in math and science which includes graph and chart understanding. Students will have a 15-minute break between sections each day. An ACT study guide will be included in the registration cost.

Physics Camp $225

Campers will use investigative labs and discovery activities on the following topics: position vs time, velocity vs time, acceleration due to gravity, projectile motion, collisions, and more. Our goal is to connect math and science through inquiry-based activities.

Campers will have the opportunity to participate in a mock-trial as an attorney or witness. Students will learn aspects of a trial, such as opening and closing statements, direct and cross examination, and rules of evidence. Each day students will learn a di erent aspect of the court case before putting on the mock-trial at the end of the week!

This camp is designed for young anglers who love to sh! Campers will start their week with a berglass blank pole and end the week with their very own custom-made shing rod! They will learn rod-building techniques, shing tips, and how to tie multiple shing knots.

Slime Camp $225

Campers will be learning all about di erent types of slime! Participants will develop an understanding of the chemical reaction behind slime and other substances. Each day, they will learn how to make a new type of slime, playdough, and even oobleck! At the end of the week, campers will develop their own slime recipe book and customizable slime.

Campers will have the opportunity to improve their chess skills. Beginners welcome. Participants will be divided by skill level. We will focus on preparing students for tournament competition.

Driving time will be held Monday through Friday as required by the course. E orts will be made to accommodate student/family schedules. There will be 2.5 hours of written homework during the week and a written test on Tuesday. Information will be emailed to participants prior to the scheduled week.

Camp Bayside o ers campers the opportunity to explore, create, play and discover! Campers immerse themselves in summer fun while exploring the world around them. Counselors provide an engaging and safe learning environment for the campers to enjoy while they participate in fun activities. Camp Bayside allows campers to make new friends and strengthen both minds and bodies in a fun environment. Space is limited.

Power Up! $200

School will begin before we know it! The following grade-level camps led by Bayside teachers will give campers an opportunity to gather with old and new Admiral friends while they explore, investigate, and create together!
