Bayside Academy is the perfect place for your child to enjoy summer! Bayside’s 2024 summer programs offer a wide variety of options that will keep campers entertained and engaged.

Registration is available online only on Thursday, February 16 to Bayside Academy students and Monday, March 13 to the general public. Registration grade indicates the camper’s grade for the 2024-2025 school year. Please check online for program minimums and maximums as well as other program details. Bayside Academy reserves the right to change the details of any camp/program. We are committed to our campers having a safe, healthy, and fun-filled summer.

Girls Soccer Camp $125

May 13-15 | 3-4:30 PM | Grades 2-7

Dane Lumsden This camp will give all girls, regardless of level, the opportunity to enjoy the sport while developing individual and team skills. Coaches will stress the love of the game and concentrate on fundamental soccer skills.

Top Gun Basketball Shooting Camp $100 May 16 & 17 | 3-5:30 PM | Grades 1-8

Jonathan Vines/Sam Miller This camp is for anyone looking to improve their basketball shot. Bayside basketball staff and players will assist players in developing an easy, repeatable shooting motion. We believe basketball is more fun when you can consistently hit the 3-point shot. Towards that end, we will impart the skills and techniques necessary to increase shooting-range AND confidence. Boys and girls welcome!

Joe Swagart All aspects of track and field will be covered during this camp. Campers will learn drills of various field events and hurdles, including long and triple jump, high jump, shot put, discus, and turbo javelin. Participants will run various distances throughout each session and conclude each day with a fun camp activity.

Wrestling Camp $140

June 3-5 | 5-8 PM | Grades 1-6

Caleb Hall Campers will learn the fundamentals of wrestling skills as they develop self-confidence, self-discipline, and physical fitness. Campers will have the opportunity to engage in wrestling matches to further develop their wrestling skills.

Boys Basketball Camp $160

Jonathan Vines Learn to play THE ADMIRAL WAY– a fun, fast-paced style of play. We like to run, shoot the 3, and attack the rim. Our players will be highly-skilled, tough, and well-versed in situational play. This camp emphasizes the fundamentals of shooting, passing, ball-handling, team defense, and character. Our goal is to give your child a framework for basketball success throughout the year.

Matt Limbaugh The camp will focus on all aspects of the game. Staff will emphasize fundamentals of hitting, fielding, base running, and throwing. Campers will have opportunities to use their new skills in games during camp and will be taught drills and techniques they can practice and use on their own.

Jamie Ferguson This camp provides all boys, regardless of skill level or age, the opportunity to enjoy the sport while developing individual team skills. The camp stresses the love of the game and will concentrate on fundamental skills. May 20-23 | 3-5 PM | Grades 4-8

Sam Miller Girls will enjoy working and playing on the hardwood! Players will learn about an up-tempo, quick decision-based style of play. The fundamentals of ball handling, shooting, footwork, defending, rebounding, and transition will be taught during small sided games that will expose players to real, game-like situations where decision based basketball will be coached.

Boys Indoor Soccer Camp $140 May 28-31| 9-11 AM | Grades 3-6

Jamie Ferguson Camp will consist of small sided 4v4 Futsal games. Futsal develops individual player proficiency while promoting teamwork as players work together to solve problems.

Ann Schilling Campers will learn fundamental volleyball skills such as proper serving, passing, setting, and hitting techniques. Offensive and defensive strategies are also introduced. Sessions feature age-appropriate instruction for all.

Football Camp $65

Barrett Trotter Campers will have fun learning and improving football skills while they develop their concept of teamwork.


Cheer Camp $170

Jordan Collins Campers join the cheer coaches as they learn to dance, cheer, jump, and tumble. Camp will be held at the Bayside Cheer Gym.

Pickleball Camp $160

July 8-11 | 9-11 AM | Grades 3-8

Scott Clemens Pickleball Camp is designed for beginner to intermediate level players. Campers will learn the rules and fundamentals and play games while having fun. Good sportsmanship will be emphasized, and prizes will be given away each day for those who have earned them. Camp will be held at Lott Park.

Hannah Etheredge Children will explore different literature selections each day and bring the literature to life through drama, songs, and various art activities.

Summer Sure is Sweet! Sculpture Camp $225 June 3-6 | 9 AM-12 PM | Grades K-5

Shannon Noble Campers will satisfy their sweet tooth as they explore and create summer's sweetest treats. Participants will create fabulous 3-D fruit art, paper-mache sundaes, and plaster donuts that are pretty enough to eat and oh so sweet!

Fantastic Fish Mixed Media Camp $225 June 3-6 | 1-4 PM | Grades K-5

Jordan Collins Campers will learn hip-hop pom routines with a performance on the last day of camp.

Shannon Noble This week of camp is all about fish. Campers will explore several different art mediums as they create four fantastic fish masterpieces!

Cross Country Camp $160

BROS Camp Building Relationships Over Summer $225

July 29-August 1 | 8:30-11:15 AM | Grades 3-6

Joe Swagart All aspects of cross country will be covered during this camp. During each session, campers will complete a warm up, a training session, and drills and “learn by doing” activities that varsity-level XC team members perform. Campers will run various distances throughout each session and conclude each day with a fun camp activity.

ARTS

Theatre Intensive $325

June 3-14 | 9 AM -12 PM | Grades 7-12

Lesley Richards Campers attending this two-week intensive camp will work on the finer points of performing through learning a monologue, a scene, and a play. We will explore different styles of acting and work on both comedic and dramatic pieces. There will be a performance on the final day of camp.

Hannah Etheredge Boys gather together to build lasting relationships with old and new friends as they participate in games, art, and physical and social activities.

Printmaking Camp $225

Shannon Noble Campers will be exploring and experimenting with various types of printmaking. Get ready for some messy, cool printmaking masterpieces!

Painting Around the World Camp $225 June 10-13 | 1-4 PM | Grades K-5

Shannon Noble Attention Campers: Pack your bags as we are going on a painting art camp trip! Let's get a stamp or two on our passports as we "travel" the world and learn how different cultures create art. This week campers will become fluent in the universal language of art!

Everything Disney! $225

Michelle Schoensiegel Campers will experience all things Disney through music, dramatic arts, crafts, book-making, and designing a t-shirt.


Fold, Twist, & Tie Dye $225

Puppetry: Performing for an Audience $230

Shannon Noble Campers will be sure to unleash their creativity as they create each unique tie dye piece. Pillowcases, canvas bags, t-shirts, and more! Summer would not be complete without a little tie dye!

Lesley Richards Campers will learn the ins and outs of good puppeteering, from character creation to proper physical fundamentals. We will discover different styles of puppetry and learn about their histories, including shadow, marionette, Bunraku, traditional hand-and-rod, and more. Campers will perform their work in a showcase on the final day. Hand-and-rod puppets will be provided, but students may bring their own if they prefer.

Art & Nature Painting & Mixed Media Camp $225 June 17-20 | 1-4 PM | Grades K-5

Shannon Noble This camp is designed for all art and nature lovers! Campers will gain inspiration from all things in nature: plants, insects, “Down by the Bay” walks, and more. Camp Bonus: campers will explore cyanotype sun print making and learn to create upscale art from recycled materials.

Sabrina Giancotti Campers will have a new door opened as they learn Spanish during this fun summer camp. Participants may join for one or more weeks throughout the summer. We will focus on exploring a new language by playing, dancing, singing, and creating stories together while building new Spanish vocabulary.

Hannah Etheredge Girls gather with old friends and meet new classmates as they participate in various fun art and social activities designed to build lasting friendships.

Shannon Noble During the final session of Mrs. Noble’s art camps, participants will enjoy producing art through sculpture, printmaking, painting, collage and Tie Dye while saving the BEST for LAST!

Dog Lovers Camp $225

July 8-11 | 9 AM-12 PM | Grades 2-5

Alyssa Tuel Campers will participate in a variety of dog-themed activities. They will read a variety of books, complete doggy crafts, and enjoy visits from various dogs and people working in our community. The camp will conclude with a doggy picnic at May Day Park.

Magical Garden Fairy Camp $225 July 15-18 | 9 AM-12 PM | Grades PK3-2

Savannah Asmus & Kaelyn Walch Campers will enjoy an enchanting week learning about the magical world of fairies that fill our gardens, meadows, and tree tops while creating their very own fairyland and custom costume.

Jewelry Making $225

June 15-18 | 9 AM-12 PM | Grades 2-6 June 15-18 | 1-4 PM | Grades 2-6

Cindy Robles Campers explore the world of hand-building pottery and create ceramics to treasure for a lifetime.

Tanya Best Campers will express their creativity as they learn a variety of jewelry-making techniques to produce their own designs.

Under the Sea & Animals! Painting Camp $225

Comic Book Camp $225

Shannon Noble Campers will be taking a trip on a sea turtle’s back under the sea, participating in an awesome jeep safari, and zip lining over the rainforest while having tons of smART fun and producing lots of fabulous canvas paintings!

Alyssa Tuel Campers will learn about the elements of a graphic novel through reading several examples of comic books, graphic novels, and researching many famous graphic authors. Participants will learn how to create and sketch their own interesting characters, develop the plot of a story, and add pictures to enhance their narrative. At the end, students will have written and illustrated their very own short graphic novel!

MATH & SCIENCE

ACT Prep Course $280

June 3-6 | 9:30 AM-12:15 PM | Grades 10-12

Steve Marine/Hillary Lee This course will prepare students to attack the ACT with strategies, enhanced subject understanding, and focus. Five hours of English and reading instruction will be provided by Steve Marine, and Hillary Lee will provide five hours of instruction in math and science which includes graph and chart understanding. Students will have a 15-minute break between sections each day. An ACT study guide will be included in the registration cost.

Physics Camp $225

June 3-6 | 1-3:30 PM | Grades 7-9

Joe Swagart Campers will use investigative labs and discovery activities on the following topics: position vs time, velocity vs time, acceleration due to gravity, projectile motion, collisions, and more. Our goal is to connect math and science through inquiry-based activities.

Dinosaur Camp $225

June 10-13 | 9 AM-12 PM | Grades PK4-1

Cindy Robles Campers will explore the prehistoric world of dinosaurs. We will dig for fossils, create volcanic eruptions, and become “certified” Paleontologists!

LEGO WEDO 2.0 Robotics & Programming Camp $225 June 10-13 | 1-4 PM | Grades 1-4

Cindy Robles Learn how to program LEGO WEDO 2.0 robots in a fun, collaborative setting.

Law & Order Camp $185

June 10-13 | 9 AM-12 PM | Grades 8 & 9

William Hester Campers will have the opportunity to participate in a mock-trial as an attorney or witness. Students will learn aspects of a trial, such as opening and closing statements, direct and cross examination, and rules of evidence. Each day students will learn a different aspect of the court case before putting on the mock-trial at the end of the week!

Candy Chemistry $225

June 10-13 | 9 AM-12 PM | Grades 1-4 June 10-13 | 1-4 PM | Grades 1-4

Erica Dunn Campers should get ready for a mouth-watering journey into the magical world of candy chemistry. If you have a sweet tooth for science, this camp is perfect for you! The Candy Chemistry campers will blend the sweetness of candy with the excitement of chemistry by being encouraged to make hypotheses, record observations, and draw conclusions to foster scientific thinking.

Pirate Camp $225

Savannah Asmus Ahoy, Matey! Campers will “hoist the colors” as they sail the seas and explore tales of pirates, walk the plank, and search for hidden treasure!

A Fairy Tale STEM Adventure $225 June 17-20 | 9 AM-12 PM | Grades 1-4 June 17-20 | 1-4 PM | Grades 1-4

Erica Dunn Campers will embark on a magical journey where fairy tales and STEM collide! They will join together for a spellbinding adventure where curious minds transform into enchanted explorers while they experience a camp filled with hands-on experiments, fantastical challenges, and the joy of discovering the STEM wonders hidden within our favorite fairy tales.

Space Camp $225

June 24-27 | 9 AM-12 PM | Grades PK4-1

Cindy Robles Campers will explore our solar system as they build and launch rockets and satellites. They will also train like an astronaut and earn official space training certification!

What’s Cooking? $225

June 24-27 | 1-4 PM | Grades PK4-3

Hannah Etheredge Children will try recipes and cook up some fun with Ms. Etheredge as they explore an assortment of food types during this exciting time together.

Construction Camp $225

July 8-11 | 9 AM-12 PM | Grades PK4-2

Savannah Asmus Campers will explore simple machines, engineering, and all the fun of a construction site as they ask the question, “Can we build it?” YES, we can!


Fishing Rod Building Camp $250 July 8-12 | 9 AM-12 PM | Grades 5-8

Emily & Luke Stewart This camp is designed for young anglers who love to fish! Campers will start their week with a fiberglass blank pole and end the week with their very own custom-made fishing rod! They will learn rod-building techniques, fishing tips, and how to tie multiple fishing knots.

Slime Camp $225

July 22-25 | 9 AM-12 PM | Grades 2-5

Alyssa Tuel Campers will be learning all about different types of slime! Participants will develop an understanding of the chemical reaction behind slime and other substances. Each day, they will learn how to make a new type of slime, playdough, and even oobleck! At the end of the week, campers will develop their own slime recipe book and customizable slime.

Chess Camp $330 Full/$210 Half

July 22-26 | Half Day/Full Day | Grades 3-12 Half Day: 9 AM-12 PM or 1-4 PM Full Day: 9 AM-4 PM

Alanna Katz & Associates Campers will have the opportunity to improve their chess skills. Beginners welcome. Participants will be divided by skill level. We will focus on preparing students for tournament competition.

Other Camps Drivers Education $405 8:30 AM-1 PM | Grades 9-12

(Students must be 15 and have a Driver Permit)

Session 1: June 10-14 Session 2: June 17-21 Session 3: June 24-28

Mark Lasseter/Sam Leffard Driving time will be held Monday through Friday as required by the course. Efforts will be made to accommodate student/family schedules. There will be 2.5 hours of written homework during the week and a written test on Tuesday. Information will be emailed to participants prior to the scheduled week.

Scott Johnston Camp Bayside offers campers the opportunity to explore, create, play and discover! Campers immerse themselves in summer fun while exploring the world around them. Counselors provide an engaging and safe learning environment for the campers to enjoy while they participate in fun activities. Camp Bayside allows campers to make new friends and strengthen both minds and bodies in a fun environment. Space is limited.

Math Prep Camp $200

Jennifer McDowell This camp is an opportunity for students to increase their math skills in preparation for the coming year. The session will jump-start the brain and shake off the summer slump!

Power Up! $200

School will begin before we know it! The following grade-level camps led by Bayside teachers will give campers an opportunity to gather with old and new Admiral friends while they explore, investigate, and create together! Each camp is specific to the grade level indicated. Full details of each camp are available at the registration site.
