We’ve teamed up with local breweries to create a range of festival drinks, including the return of Sunseeker for its second year.

In collaboration with local legends Mount Brewing Co., Sunseeker is a citrus-forward Pacific Pale Ale that’s been specially crafted to celebrate the stories and flavours that define the Bay of Plenty.

Inspired by our region’s rolling waves, endearing sunshine, and bountiful produce, this festival brew balances zesty lemon notes with a clean, refreshing finish.

Brewed by the talented crew at Lumberjack Brewery in Pukehina, Fork’n Good is made for the moments between bites.

Light-bodied with a smooth finish, this rice lager reflects the Coastal Bay of Plenty’s laid-back lifestyle and local flavours. It’s crisp, refreshing, and perfect alongside whatever’s on your fork.

NOTES

PLAN YOUR TRIP

The Coastal Bay of Plenty is the home of the Flavours of Plenty Festival and one of New Zealand’s leading food regions.

Shaped by fertile soils, a strong horticultural history and access to the sea, it’s a place where great produce and good food are part of everyday life.

The region’s food scene continues to evolve, with farmers’ markets, pop-up dining and hands-on food experiences sitting alongside innovative growers and producers, and a growing network of breweries and craft distillers. Festival events take place across the region, from Waihī Beach through to Whakatāne, giving visitors the chance to explore different towns, venues and local flavours along the way.

When you’re not eating, there’s plenty to do.

Relax on the beach, walk the waterfront, explore local shops and galleries, or fit in a swim or coastal walk between events. The Bay of Plenty is easy to get around, allowing time to enjoy both the festival events and the region.

Getting here is simple.

If you’re travelling from out of the region, Air New Zealand offers daily flights to Tauranga from Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington. If you’re arriving by car, Tauranga is around 1 hour 10 minutes’ drive from Whakatāne, 1 hour 20 minutes from Hamilton, 55 minutes from Rotorua, and approximately 2 hours 30 minutes from Auckland.

To plan your visit, visit bayofplentynz.com or download the Explore Bay of Plenty app for local tips, experiences and deals.
