Founded in 2009, Plano, Texas-based Baymark Partners is a growth-oriented private equity firm investing in recapitalizations and acquisitions of well-managed, entrepreneurial, middle-market service businesses. Baymark invests in high-growth companies where the existing ownership group requires additional management and strategic resources to achieve their goals and accelerate growth. It typically allows the owner to gain liquidity while maintaining a significant equity stake in the business for future upside and, if desired, a reduced management role.

Many of Baymark’s investors appreciate the opportunity to do their due diligence on acquisitions before they invest. Most limited partners are accredited investors. An accredited investor is an individual or corporation permitted to purchase and sell unregistered securities, such as shares in new companies that have not yet gone public.

Accredited investors earn this title by meeting at least one of the following requirements: income, net worth, asset size, governance status, or professional experience. In the United States, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) uses the word "under Regulation D" to refer to financially skilled investors who have a reduced need for the protection given by regulatory disclosure reports.

Accredited investors include wealthy individuals, banks, insurance firms, brokers, and trusts.

Baymark provides its limited partners with comprehensive quarterly updates on their investments.

Baymark’s Investment Criteria Baymark makes controlling interest investments in portfolio companies across various industries and sectors. They must be privately held companies or carve-outs of public companies with EBITDA of $2 to $20 million and down to $200 thousand for add-ons. The companies must have

cash flow generation with established revenue models. They must operate in an industry experiencing 10% or greater growth and have a unique product or business model replicable in other geographies or markets. Companies should also receive recurring revenue from their existing customer base. Additionally, their headquarters must be based in the United States.

Baymark also helped Coastal Screen and Rail, a manufacturer of outdoor space products, expand into new markets and expand its offerings.
