The School of Music is housed in two separate buildings; the historic Waco Hall and Glennis McCrary Music Building, which together contain four performance halls, composition facilities, practice rooms, Crouch Music Library and the Music Education Resource Center. Our students thrive in a Christian environment characterized by a nurturing resident faculty, an unwavering pursuit of musical excellence, a global perspective, dedication to service, and devotion to faith. The Baylor School of Music consists of approximately 375 undergraduate and graduate students and 65 full-time faculty and up to 20 supplemental professional adjuncts. We offer comprehensive degree programs leading to bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education, performance, and academic areas of music, and doctoral programs in church music. YOU S HO ULD KNOW With a 5:1 student-teacher ratio, master’s program faculty form strong connections with students and assist with attaining assistantships and internships with ensembles and opera companies. Travel opportunities arise via international missions, ensembles, master classes, and summer internships. The Center for Christian Music Studies is a preeminent Christian music center whose graduates serve in many of the country’s leading music ministries and participate in church music leadership around the world.
