Education The Baylor School of Education prepares educators for leadership in a changing world, offering degrees at every level, including undergraduate teacher preparation leading to certification, professional master’s and doctoral programs for K-12 and higher education leaders, and research-intensive PhD programs. The balance between theory, research, and practice leads to the development of professionals who can adapt to a variety of educational situations and effectively implement educational programs. The Baylor School of Education is also home to multiple research centers: the Baylor Center for Christian Education, the Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development, and the Baylor Center for Developmental Disabilities, which includes the Clinic for Assessment, Research, and Education, and the Baylor Autism Resource Clinic. YOU S HO ULD KNOW Between 2014 and 2018, the PhD students in the Baylor Higher Education Studies & Leadership program have published 14 peer-reviewed journal articles, 2 book chapters, and 6 book reviews. In addition, they have given over 46 conference presentations at professional conferences. Baylor’s graduate program in Educational Psychology is quickly becoming a top program according to rankings compiled by Academic Analytics. Data released in 2016 indicates that Baylor’s Educational Psychology program ranks in the top quartile of programs nationally, which places Baylor’s program among others such as Stanford University and Indiana University Bloomington.
