When the engine reached its working temperature, the thermostat starts opening and lets the coolant to flow freely through the entire system. If the engine is in cold condition, then the thermostat can lead to a closed position and heats up the engine more rapidly. If the thermostat is stuck in the open position, then it unable to reach its working temperature and keep the engine stays cold. Apparently, if it is stuck in the closed position, then it may lead to engine overheating issues due to the lack of proper coolant flow.

Broken cabin heater The cabin heater is working the same as the engine radiator that is used for heating the passenger cabin. Thus, the cabin heater is rarely broken because it is located inside the passenger cabin. When the hot coolant goes through the heater, the cabin ventilator is blowing air through it and heat up the cabin. Over time, the cabin heater is starting to leak or clogged up due to material fatigue. Before the engine is overheating, you will experience the problem when the coolant is leaking into the passenger cabin. For preventing the issues, you need to replace the cabin heater.
