BAUER’S EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP CERTIFICATE The Executive Leadership Certificate is designed to empower participants with the essential skills needed to thrive in their professional journey.

This comprehensive program features a selection of courses that enable individuals to tailor their learning experience. By completing any four of the five courses, participants will earn a certificate of completion along with a digital badge to showcase their achievement.

This certificate accelerates your professional growth while strengthening your leadership capabilities, equipping you to inspire and manage teams more effectively.

TUITION $3,995

The Executive Leadership Certificate is priced at $3,995 and includes four courses of your choice. Additional courses can be added for $1,420 each, but they are not required to complete the certificate.

CEU’S

For every hour of instruction completed in our certificate programs, participants will earn 0.1 Continuing Education Units (CEUs). Completing the Executive Leadership Certificate will reward participants with 3.2 CEUs. Participants will receive certificates of completion & digital badges.

DEVELOPING LEADER CHARACTER

Instructor: Alejandro (Alex) Fernandez, MS (Professor and Director of the Inclusive Leadership Institute) This workshop focuses on the element of leadership that has largely been neglected in leadership development: Character. Although character is often thought to be a subjective construct, this workshop argues otherwise. We will discuss the concrete behaviors associated with different eleven-character dimensions (accountability, drive, collaboration, courage, justice, temperance, humility, humanity, integrity, transcendence, and judgement) and illustrate how these behaviors can be developed, how character can be strengthened, and how it leads to improved decision making and judgement.

FROM MANAGEMENT TO LEADERSHIP

Instructor: Marianne Gooch, MBA (Founder and President of DynaComm LLC) Every company needs leaders – those who inspire others, create change in the company, elevate profitability and expand market share. But few managers understand the unique strengths needed to become such a leader. This one-day course will help you develop the critical skills you will need to advance from tactical to strategic; from contributor to achiever; from manager to leader. Once complete, you will have the strategies, tools and techniques to enhance your leadership potential.

LEADING HIGH-PERFORMANCE TEAMS

Instructor: Alan Witt, Ph.D. (Professor of Management & Leadership) This course provides participants with key concepts and knowledge that will help them not only to understand the nature of high-performance teams but also to develop and sustain them in practice. Course material integrates research and best practices from human resources management, organizational behavior, organizational psychology, leadership science, social psychology, personality psychology, sociology, and history.

The course is designed to apply knowledge of the characteristics of high-performance teams and assessment methodologies to prepare the participants to position their teams to achieve and sustain high-performance status in both leader and non-leader roles.

STRATEGY & EXECUTION

Instructor: Barbara Carlin, Ph.D. (Instructional Associate Professor) The purpose of this course is to enhance your capacity to do the job of a general manager, that is, someone who leads a multi-functional group and is responsible for the strategic performance of that group. The concepts of the workshop take the total business as the unit of analysis, and the general manager of the business as the key actor. The emphasis of the workshop is on the key general management tasks consisting of assessing the direction of a business and analyzing its environment, identifying the important opportunities and challenges facing a business, implementing changes, and more.

How do I register for a course and are there any prerequisites?

Register for an open enrollment course by visiting our website and signing up for the courses you’re interested in. Since our courses are non-degree and non-credit, no prerequisites are required.

How much does a course cost?

Our pricing varies on the length of the course.

Do you offer financial aid?

Will I receive university credit after completing a course?

Our courses offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs), which are not applicable to degree programs.

However, successfully completing our MiniMBA program can earn you a scholarship toward the Bauer Executive MBA. Have questions, please contact Adina Dawoodi at akdawood@central.uh.edu.

What is your refund policy?

If you need to cancel, you can either transfer your registration to a future date or request a refund.

Cancellations made seven days or more before the course start date receive a full refund.

Cancellations made six days or less before the start date receive an 80% refund. No refunds or transfers are available once the course has started.

We offer digital badging through Credly.

Participants can earn a microcredential upon successful completion of specific courses.
