Friendship Centre initiative supported

Housing project gets $500,000 grant Staff A housing project initiated by the Battlefords Indian Métis Friendship Centre is among several affordable housing solutions to receive recently announced government funding. The Government of Canada and the Government of Saskatchewan have announced a combined investment of $6.7 million. Battlefords Indian and Métis Friendship Centre has been granted $500,000 for an eightunit co-housing project for homeless individuals. The project was approved by North Battleford city council at the end of March, even though several of those living in the area of
