MISSION STATEMENT To improve the lives of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families through advocacy, services and support.

SERVICE AREA ARC Baton Rouge serves clients of all ages, ethnicities and income levels in East Baton Rouge and seven surrounding parishes.

VOLUNTEERING / GIVING WISH LIST: • Transportation: It is imperative that we add to the fleet of vehicles we use to transport clients to community outings and job sites. • Dallas Drive building improvement: Our day habilitation and employment facility is in need of interior and exterior repairs, concrete/parking work, flooring and painting. • Jefferson Highway Project: We are seeking contributions to complete payment for the building and acquire adjacent space for recreational and small business/

entrepreneurial projects. Plumbing work is also needed to expand water services for new projects. • Maintenance: We currently need help with interior and exterior painting, and landscaping at two Baton Rouge locations. • Instructors: We welcome those who want to share their expertise with regular instruction in painting and drawing, ceramics and pottery, sewing and quilting, cooking and baking, woodworking, and furniture design.

WE FOCUS ON a number of programs and activities, including: • Early intervention for infants and toddlers diagnosed with developmental delays • Transition instruction and prevocational training for high school students in special education • Day habilitation and supervised employment services for teens and adults with disabilities • In-home services for caregiver respite and 24-hour care • Opportunities to explore entrepreneurial activities such as the arts, pottery, cooking, sewing, woodworking and furniture repurposing • Inclusive sports and recreation for ages 3 and up
