Created more than 100 years ago, this eyecatching drink only came back into fashion in the 2000 ' s when the violet liqueur became available in the US again. Add a floral note and a lovely hue to a glass of bubbly or a gin and tonic by adding a drizzle of it

2 oz. gin 1/2 oz lemon juice 1/2 oz crème de violette liqueur 1/4 oz maraschino liqueur ice brandied cherry, for garnish

Method

Add gin, lemon juice and liqueurs to a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice and shake until cold. Strain into a coupe or other cocktail glass, then garnish with a brandied cherry, lemon twist optional
