PREMIUM BASEBALL INSTRUCTION: CENTRAL TEXAS STORM

Central Texas Storm is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit Select Youth Baseball and Softball organization thatplaystournamentsintheCentralTexasarea. Itsmissionistoempower,educateandequipthe youthofBastrop,Colorado,Fayette,Lavaca,and Lee counties, teaching the fundamentals of leadership, teamwork, acceptance, and commitment. "We are making it possible for youths of all backgrounds and socioeconomic areas to have the opportunity to experience organizedrecreationalballplaywhereitotherwise wouldnotbeanoptionforthem."CTS'sExecutive Director Marty Bigham explains that rural kids oftendon'tgetenoughgamesortheprofessional coaching needed to take their skills to the next level. A Schulenburg resident and father, he helped found the organization to expand opportunities for players 8 to 18 years of age, closer to home.
