PREMIUM BASEBALL INSTRUCTION: CENTRAL TEXAS STORM

Central Texas Storm is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit Select Youth Baseball and Softball organization that plays tournaments in the Central Texas area. Its mission is to empower, educate and equip the youth of Bastrop, Colorado, Fayette, Lavaca, and Lee counties, teaching the fundamentals of leadership, teamwork, acceptance, and commitment. "We are making it possible for youths of all backgrounds and socioeconomic areas to have the opportunity to experience organized recreational ball play where it otherwise would not be an option for them." CTS's Executive Director Marty Bigham explains that rural kids often don't get enough games or the professional coaching needed to take their skills to the next level. A Schulenburg resident and father, he helped found the organization to expand opportunities for players 8 to 18 years of age, closer to home.
