Båstadgruppen’s fundamental characteristics, such as quality, date all the way back to 1907 and our roots in the Båstad clog. For nearly 120 years, as more operations have been added, we have developed a high level of service focused on constant availability. But our most important characteristic has always remained: we strive to improve ourselves in order to impact the industry. We can declare that we were early – maybe even first – to adopt many things: work shoes with a sporty design, women’s styles, many innovative details in our workwear, integrated sustainability initiatives and not least of all, digital tools. The entire industry now works towards many of these changes.

More recently, the surrounding world has also motivated change for us. Our partners, the resellers, are becoming bigger and bigger, with greater needs for an increasingly rapid pace of work. Our product users demand better comfort and fashionable design for individually adapted garments and shoes. In addition, we have continued our important work to be at the forefront when it comes to sustainability and social responsibility, as demands have increased.

Monitor offers innovative hybrid shoes. They have the quality of a protective shoe, but feel like an athletic or outdoor shoe.

Comfort

We rely on our extensive experience when developing the next model. Expertise about the anatomy of the foot and sophisticated production technology form the basis of our efforts to make the most comfortable shoes possible.

Safety

Many of our work shoes could more accurately be called safety shoes. Protecting our wearers is crucial to our product development. Innovative solutions for the right application – for example, we were the first to use carbon-fibre toe caps – is our path to the next generation of work shoes.

Properties

Carefully chosen materials, quality craftsmanship and an innovative approach have led to advanced work shoes with properties such as low weight, good breathability, and advanced shock absorption. All for optimum function and comfort, eight hours a day and more.

Design

Design is another area in which we think differently and stand out. Style is just as important for wearers to feel comfortable. We spend as much time on the visual identity of the shoes as on their function. Wearers should be able to choose something they like in every respect.

Matterhorn – A garment for every element

Inspired by the mountain with its unique silhouette, Matterhorn designs outerwear – jackets and trousers – that are suitable for both work and an active life. Classic and timeless design in modern materials.

Inspiration from 4,478 metres above sea level

Naturally, our jackets are inspired by the mountain after which we named them. It is located in the Alps between Switzerland and Italy, near the ski town of Zermatt, and is famous for its unique silhouette. If a jacket can work in this environment, we believe it will work anywhere.

Always keeping outdoor activities in mind serves as the foundation for our product development, allowing us to push limits and continuously improve with new materials, features and styles. Top Swede offers workwear, promotional clothing, and safety shoes with the user in mind, and no working conditions have proven to be too tough.

When Top Swede launched in 1998, the goal was to make garments with the precise functionality and comfort that users wanted, adapted to the tasks they carry out. We have now achieved these goals, and have an excellent selection that covers most areas.

In our collections, we focus on the important things. When we develop new garments, the aim is to refine and improve quality and usability. Through stringent demands on our subcontractors and close collaboration with test institutes, we can guarantee that our garments always meet our rigorous requirements. Naturally, our selection also complies with standards and safety classifications, and has the proper certifications. This includes requirements set out in laws and ordinances, but also other factors that we believe should be a matter of course.

The world’s first safety helmet with the MIPS safety system

Improving safety and comfort at the same time is a huge challenge –but the Armet range, which is the world’s first safety helmet equipped with the MIPS safety systems, is, according to many, the most comfortable safety helmet on the market. The MIPS safety system is designed to help reduce the rotational motion of the head that occurs during certain impacts, thus reducing brain damage. MIPS was developed with the help of Swedish researchers at Karolinska Institutet and KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
