The Cyber Security Skills Bootcamp is FREE if you are unemployed or employed and looking for a career change.

If you are an employer seeking to enhance your staff’s skills, large employers will contribute 30% of the cost for their employees, while small and medium-sized employers will contribute 10%.

In just 16 intensive weeks, you will master the handson skills employers require. Being delivered two mornings a week, the Cyber Security Skills Bootcamp fits into your week and commitments.

BCoT provide the tools to ensure you get hired. Dedicated support is built into the course to fast-track your entry into the job market.

Duration: 16 weeks (100 hours)

Day/time: Wed 9.15am to 12pm and Fri 9.15am to 12.15pm

Course introduction

This intensive, Level 3 government-funded course is designed to transition you directly into one of the fastest-growing sectors globally. Gain the skills to protect businesses from threats, even with no prior IT experience.

Master the foundations of digital defence, threat analysis and risk management through hands-on labs and real-world simulations.

Modules include: Network Security, Incident Response, Data Protection and Compliance, Ethical Hacking Fundamentals and Cloud Security Principles.

Guaranteed Interview: Learners will have the opportunity to connect with local employers and secure guaranteed interviews for job vacancies.

Comprehensive Support : Personalised support, assistance with job applications and interview preparation to effectively showcase employability skills during the Skills Bootcamp and for six months afterwards.

Entry requirements

• Individuals aged 19+ who live in the Hampshire area are eligible to sign up as learners.

• Either in work, self-employed, recently unemployed or returning to work after a break.

• This Skills Bootcamp is a Level 3 course, and so the following is required: GCSE English and maths (or equivalent) at grade 4 or above.

• To successfully pass the course, you must commit to attending over 90%.

Learners may find it helpful if they’ve already achieved a Level 2 Digital Skills or Information Technology qualification. You can enrol on a Level 2 Cyber Security distance learning course with BCoT.
