About Basepoint Basepoint is one of the UK’s leading developers and operators of Business Centres for small to medium size enterprises (SME’s) as well as a nurturing ground for new start-ups and those requiring collaborative workspace.

Recognised as a leader within the Business Centre community, Basepoint has created a strong brand and now has over 2,000 businesses occupying space. During the last 10 years, Basepoint has been the recipient of many awards, including the national BCA Workspace of the Year award 2009, 2010 and 2011, Small Businesses Award 2012, Green Business Award 2014, Responsible Business Award 2016 and finalists of Service in the Community for small businesses 2015.

Located across the South of England, West Midlands, East Anglia and Wales, Basepoint’s ethos is one of developing business communities that thrive through the provision of support, be it from the centre management team and the business support services they provide, the supportive structure of the collective businesses associated with the Centre or from the development of the external links and conduits to regional support agencies and the academia within the local area.

Development of licensees and local business communities is not only achieved through the physical environment but also through our business support. Basepoint provides access to free networking and business seminars through its B2B Networking Hubs in addition to professional support via our free 24/7 business support service, MiBase, and our national partnership with ActionCOACH, the world’s number 1 business coaching team.

The management teams within each of the Centres build and develop these links over time to ensure they maintain a local knowledge of the availability of new initiatives and funding that may help small SME’s particularly with the signposting and promoting of grant availability. Each Centre holds regular networking events and seminars to help develop footfall through the Centres to assist with awareness of business issues.

All our Centres provide a mix of high quality office, studio and workshop space available in a range of sizes from small 1 or 2 man incubator units, up to entire floors for 50 people. This variation in style of unit and the different floor areas gives maximum flexibility to potential licensees as well as allowing for internal movement and growth as businesses develop, therefore alleviating the need for licensees to look elsewhere in the short to medium term.

Latest Technology Basepoint understands the importance of digital technology in the workplace and prides itself at being at the forefront of technology.

All of our Centres have fast, reliable internet access and state-of-the-art digital and IP phones to help businesses stay in touch and in control.

Basepoint also connects with businesses on leading social platforms and via a bespoke mobile phone application which is available free of charge on iOS and Android devices. The app offers directions to Centres, meeting room booking facility, a licensee directory and more.

Renovation of existing property At Basepoint we are able to turn empty properties into successful Business Centres. In recent years and in partnership with Winchester City Council, we converted and extended the office building formerly owned by Thames Water on Winnal Valley Road into a 25,000 sq. ft. bespoke Business Centre offering 66 offices and studio units.
