Our new world of work Colleagues are having many different personal experiences during this time from juggling childcare and home schooling to feeling anxious about the times we find ourselves in or financial worries. Our priority continues to be the health, safety and wellbeing of our people and we want to ensure that during this phased return to work we give you a positive experience as we: continue to communicate and provide support and guidance so that every furloughed colleague feels they are returning to a supportive and caring environment ensure that those who continue to work remotely have the ongoing support they need to help adjust to a new way of working

It is also important to remember that the current climate has presented a number of positive experiences for our colleagues including the opportunity to work remotely, quicker access to enhancements in our IT infrastructure and access to technology to keep connected. A reminder of the support and useful links available are below:

Working from home The recently published our Working from Home Guide which provides hints, tips and support in areas such as: Health & Wellbeing / Learning from home / Managing your time / Parenting at home / Staying connected Our partner, Unum LifeWorks also offer access to ‘An Introduction to Remote Working’ podcast which you can view at any time.

Returning to site As some of our colleagues start returning to site, we have put in place a number of measures to support them in new way of working. In addition to the extensive health and safety precautions we have put in place on sites, we have launched a social distancing eLearning module for divisional construction, commercial and technical teams. We have also introduced a social distancing eLearning module specifically for sales teams. eLearning modules, video tutorials and guides have been launched to help sales teams to familiarise themselves with the new technology and ways of working. Voluntary drop-in sessions for those needing additional support have been provided.

Using and maximising 'Microsoft Teams' to stay connected Microsoft Teams has now been rolled out to all colleagues. Microsoft Teams provides us with the opportunity to communicate and stay connected remotely using Teams meetings, calls and chats. There are a range of Microsoft Teams guides, videos and eLearning available on MyLearning.

Balancing roles With schools, nurseries and other childcare providers currently closed, home schooling and occupying younger children is essential for many and flexibility around this is encouraged.
