Barratt Health & Wellbeing Month: Week 3 - Financial Wellbeing Financial wellbeing is about a sense of security and feeling as though you have enough money to meet your needs. It's about being in control of your day-to-day finances and having the financial freedom to make choices that allow you to enjoy life. Did you know that to support your financial wellbeing we provide all employees with access to the following: Money management advice via our Employee Assistance Programme Offers support and articles on financial planning, retirement planning, fraud & identity theft, income changes, budgeting, debt & saving. Salary Finance To support you with your money and help you have more financial peace of mind, you can now access a new range of benefits through Salary Finance, our financial wellbeing provider. Through Salary Finance, colleagues have access to: Affordable loans repaid through salary: Representative Rate 7.9% APR (fixed). Simple savings accounts: Through Yorkshire Building Society with contributions transferred directly from your salary, helping you to save without the hassle. Help to Save: With this government-backed scheme, anyone receiving Working Tax Credit, Universal Credit or Child Tax Credit could earn bonus payments on their savings. Financial wellbeing with Close Brothers After the success of our retirement seminars with Close Brothers last year, we are working with them to provide financial education webinars for all employees. These webinars are aimed at three different stages of your career and include information on the following: New joiners/early career: 1-hour webinar for employees who are under 30 years of age and looking to set up good financial planning habits from the start of their career. The session will cover the importance of planning, how to manage debt including student loan repayment and using company benefits to make savings, plus much more. These will run on the Thursday 18 November 14:00 and Thursday 2 December 10:00. Mid-career: 1.5 hour webinar aimed at all colleagues, particularly those who are mid-career. The session will provide insight on the 7 steps to financial wellbeing including references throughout to using company benefits, managing debt and details on wills and estate planning. These will run on the Tuesday 16 November 16:00 and Wednesday 1 December 10:00. Countdown to retirement: 2-hour webinar for employees who are within their last 10 years before retirement. The session will cover lifetime savings choices, how much is needed in retirement and your different choices around pensions and investment choices, plus much more.
