Which Artwork is Which? The game is aimed at developing communication, language, and puzzle solving skills. It is designed to also help players, especially younger ones, to develop the skills required to understand and discuss artwork when they see it in a gallery. It could either be played at home in the format seen here, or in a gallery. In lieu of the artwork being on the gallery walls, please use the exhibition sheets provided.
Instructions for 2+ players • Cut out the cards, shuffle them, and divide them between each player. • Each player takes it in turn to read out the clues on the card. The other player/s look at the ‘Exhibition Sheets’ and try to figure out which artwork is being described.
E C Barnes (1830-1882) The Flower Girl, mid - late19th Century
For a more challenging game: • As above but read out one clue at a time. • If the player guess on the first clue, award them 10 points, 2nd clue 8 points and so on… • Person with the most points wins.
It’s a warm, sunny day. There’s a woman stood in a garden. The air around her smells of beautiful roses.
