Young Investigator Awards

The Young Investigator awards recognise the best manuscripts on topics of clinical or experimental research in the fields of thoracic surgery, cardiac surgery and congenital heart disease presented by young investigators at the Annual Meeting.

Hans G Borst Award for Thoracic Aortic Surgery

Named in honour of Professor H G Borst, one of the founders of EACTS, this award aims to stimulate advanced clinical or experimental research in this field by young investigators as documented by an outstanding presentation during the Annual Meeting.

EACTS/STS Award

The EACTS/STS award rewards the best abstract presented during the combined EACTS/STS aortic session.

EACTS/GHC-PASCaTS Excellence Award for Rheumatic Heart Valve Repair & Aortic Reconstruction

This award recognises the best presentation on “Rheumatic Heart Valve Disease and Management of Associated Tricuspid Regurgitation”, presented during the annual Joint EACTS/PASCaTS session at the Annual Meeting.

All awards are based on self-nomination and applications close on 30th April 2023.
