Grant Harlan, son of Lisa and Todd Harlan, was one of three Miami Valley School high school students to participate in the United Launch Alliance student rocket launch in Pueblo, Colo. on July 26. Only 12 student teams were selected from across the United States out of thousands that designed and built their own payloads during the past school year. Grant, who started the Aviation Club at MVS, is now a freshman engineering major at Purdue University.
