POWERSCAN SERIES Powerscan 9500 Series An intuitive and effortless scanning experience is the target of the PowerScan™ 9500 series. They combine omnidirectional reading capabilities with outstanding optical characteristics. The result is a scanner that is able to read any kind of barcode, regardless of the orientation, from contact to over 1.0 m / 3.3 ft, depending on the barcode resolution. In addition, Datalogic’s latest decoding software guarantees snappy reading in any type of environment.

The Datalogic STAR Cordless System™ for narrow-band radio communications was developed specifically to maximise efficiency and reliability for handheld scanner data collection applications. The PowerScan PM9500 models are equipped with a new generation of the STARSystem that further improves the already outstanding features of versatility, ease of use and radio range.

The PM9500 series offers two display options: 4 configurable keys and a full 16-key keyboard. This increases interaction between the host and the user allowing a two-way exchange of information for more reliable and effective communications.

Powerscan 9100 Powersan 9300 Powerscan DPM

The PowerScan PM9100 series includes different models able to satisfy all customers’ needs; the product is available in a basic cordless model and in two different versions with display and 4 or 16-key keypads. The BC9180 base includes one model with two different Ethernet connections: Standard Ethernet and Industrial Ethernet protocols such as Ethernet IP and Modbus.

PM9100 reader is fully supported with Datalogic’s Aladdin™ configuration programme.

The PowerScan™ PM9300 series includes different models able to satisfy all customers’ needs; the PM9300 is the basic cordless model, the PM9300-D intermediate model includes a display and 4-key keypad, and the ultimate PM9300-DK model features a display with a full 16-key keyboard. The PM9300-DK model significantly increases the sophistication of interaction with the host system and opens up new potential uses of the scanner, making it suitable for applications that would normally require a more expensive portable data terminal.

Direct Part Marking (DPM) is a process that allows users to imprint a bar code directly on an item instead of printing the code on a paper label. Different technologies are available to directly mark objects: laser/ chemical etching, dot preening and ink jet printing. Each of these methods have specific advantages and disadvantages in terms of durability, cost and ease of reading. The PowerScan DPM series of scanners are rugged handheld area imagers specifically addressess and capable of reading codes marked with DPM.

QUICKSCAN SERIES QuickScan Lite QW2000 Series The QuickScan™ reader series is Datalogic ADC’s value line of general purpose handheld data collection products.

The QuickScan Lite QW2100 linear imager is an entry level product created specifically for reading long and truncated barcodes which is common in some areas of the world. It is perfect for use in retail, light manufacturing, document/ bill processing and banking/finance environments.

The QuickScan Lite QW2400 2D area imager is also an entry level scanner in the same series that is specifically designed for reading long and truncated 1D codes and larger 2D codes from a close distance. The QW2400 imager has an extra-wide Field of View (FOV) which captures these challenging 1D and 2D codes at a nominal distance using different scan angles, meeting the scanning needs in Retail, Light Manufacturing, Document/Bill Processing and Banking/Finance. The QuickScan Lite 2D imager is the most affordable area imager with the best performance in its class.

The QuickScan™ 2400 2D imager series is the ideal cordless solution for multiple general purpose data collection applications such as PoS checkout, inventory, price checking and shelf replenishment. It is also excellent for access control applications in exhibitions, trades shows and other similar indoor events.

Featuring Datalogic’s STAR Cordless System™ 2.0, the QuickScan 2400 2D Series provides a simple point-to-point connection with secure radio communications with no risk of interference with WiFi infrastructures and very low sensitivity to obstacles.

These scanners feature a new illumination and aiming system developed with the unique intent to reduce visual stress of the operator during daily scanning activities. It consists of a soft, dark red illumination combined with two blue LED triangles pointing at the targeted barcode.

Long barcodes are commonly used in a variety of applications including, utilities bills, document processing and packaging. These long codes are a challenge for full area imagers to read due to their narrow field of view and shorter depth of field.

The QuickScan 2131 Series imager’s extra-wide field of view and extra-long scan line makes reading long barcodes in closer distances much easier. The sharp and highly visible scan line makes the scanner more user-friendly to use, while the enhanced depth of field enables barcodes to be read at an intuitive distance.

The Magellan 1500i uses a high performance megapixel sensor and custom optics to create a large reading area capable of reading at distances up to 25cm and with 1D sweep speeds up to 1.5m/s. Powerful decoding algorithms provide unmatched performance on a variety of 1D and 2D labels, including hard-to-read, truncated and damaged codes. The large reading area and sweep performance of the Magellan 1500i scanner makes scanning easy and intuitive even for novice users.

The consistent, comfortable illumination enables seamless reading of 1D and 2D barcodes from printed or mobile sources while reducing reflection and eliminating flickering that can cause operator discomfort.
