to our first annual Simmental, Angus and Red Angus sale and welcome to cow country. I am excited to announce this new opportunity to examine and acquire some of the most exciting highly competitive pedigreed and productive seed stock available from the state of Michigan. Well known cow families and top sires active in America are represented in the sale offering. For too long we have seen events, shows and traditional activities shutdown. For sure these are changing times. We will only be able to overcome the recent challenging events of the past two years by moving forward with a purpose. With that thought in mind a few friends and high quality seed stock breeders started a conversation last spring. We were optimistically looking forward to the production and marketing of our elite breeding stock. The birth of the sale began. My numbers have grown too large for me with my work and ministry in East Africa. For that reason my offering will make up a biggest part of the sale. In the future other partners will fill the need for increasing their highest quality seed stock to our numbers. For me this is a special anniversary at Double C Simmentals with 50 years ago this past summer. I bred my first females to Simmental and what a journey that has been. We have had show winners and AI stud sires plus genetics produced at our farm go throughout America and other countries around the world and most recently to east to East Africa. I am proud that a great marketing team and good friend Doug Parke has agreed to join in our efforts to professionally offer the best to you. Along with the impressive lineup of well known producers with integrity in their programs and personal characters as well. We were able to acquire a young talented upcoming seed stock producer and auctioneer Jimmie Lambert which is making a name for himself throughout Michigan. So we are excited to have him join in our efforts to be one who will make you the winner of your bidding efforts. I have one final thought you will not want to miss the cowboy meal we are providing it and will be worth your attendance at our first Bred for Success. Even if you are just your curious and want to understand what a high quality offering of this size looks like you are welcome. Please if you have any questions feel free to call me or any of our partners. Thank you and see you at the Bred for Success.

We were blessed last November to greet Dawn, a beautiful dark red daughter from the Versace donor dam and Fort Knox. She will be almost the first dark red daughter ready to flush that we know of. Already this mating is creating a lot of exciting discussions in the Simmental world. We are offering 1/2 interest in this exceptional female plus, what a pedigree being out of Ft Knox and Versace. Call Craig for more details and or questions. Double C Simmentals

AI’d to OMF Epic, ASA#3317371 (sexed heifer) on 6/6/21 Yes, you are seeing it right! Ms. Liberty is a maternal sister to Sandeen Upper Class. Sandeen Donna 7386 is a very well-known donor dam. Her daughter Ms. Liberty is proof of that. The strength of deep, superior quality. Paired up with Remington Lock n Load does bring another plus to her family tree. Ms. Liberty’s daughter sired by OMF Epic are also in the sale. To top it off, early this winter there will be another full sister sired by OMF Epic. AI’d to THSF Lover Boy, ASA#2983443 on 7/8/21 Everything you could want in a powerful, moderate framed package. Dolly is a beautifully made young donor. Out of the famous dam, Gemstone who worked so well for Windy Ridge and Ferguson. Dolly has produced an awesome young herdsire CC Baxter (sired by High Road) who is in this sale. We are already seeing what her first daughter can do. She was one of our top first calf heifers whose son is heading off to the Michigan Bull Test this fall. Dolly has worked well as a donor producing over 10 embryos on her first flush. She is safe to LoverBoy. Another great progeny is well on its way for early next year

We are going to glad to be in Marion, Michigan on Saturday October 30th for the Bred for Success sale. We want to invite you as a breeder whether you have commercial cattle, Simmentals, Red Angus or Angus. The breeders are offering a great set of cattle and genetics. The sale idea was started by Craig Pollington with Kevin, Mike, Bob and Willard. Each one of these breeders has been involved in the Michigan Beef Expo plus many sales in other states even the Midland Bull Test. Each member has been and will continue to be dedicated to the seed stock, beef business, genetic improvement and customer satisfaction.
The name of sale is fitting because they have taken the time to breed cattle that make their program successful and yours as well. Ever program is different with different goals and needs depending on many factors. In the Bred for Success sale I feel you will have the opportunity select genetics that will fit your individual needs. You can select from donors, bred heifers, and bred cows, opens and genetic lots. I would encourage anyone whether you know each participant or not to call and get to know and find out their genetics and goals. These breeders know their product no matter what breed they represent. In doing you can see their enthusiasm and excitement about being in the beef business and living life each day and day out. The events in a couple of days should be exciting with the food, cattle , and total hospitality will be big as the Great Lakes. As Craig said all is welcome. The Old Mill Venue is a first class event center just look them up on face book. The sale cattle will be on display at Hughston Cow Camp in McBain which is app. 9 miles. Contact any of the breeders and even view at their individual farms or see you at the Hughston Cow Camp on Friday and Saturday. We at DP Sales Management are always accessible and willing to answer any questions on sale matters of any kind. On our behalf we are glad and proud to represent the Bred for Success group of breeders. We will look forward to be in Michigan. If Drew, Holli or I can help please let us know by text or calling, we love to visit. If for some reason go can’t attend sale day be with us on DV Auctions. This is the first sale however it will be an annual event. So put on your bucket list of many of attractions. In the state you’re always 85 miles of water. 24 Karat, ASA#3755729 (AAA#19262743) on 5/3/21 This proven lady from day one has earned her title as Supreme Champion. 5 flushes has proven her a Supreme donor averaging between 12 and 15 transferable embryos each flush. Lady is just entering her prime of her productive years. We have finished the hard work of calving her at a first calf heifer and breeding her back now after her last flush to and she is safe in calf. This pregnancy will be pure gold safe to the AI stud 24 Karat. Wow what an opportunity of a great show heifer or herd sire with productive numbers will be the result. If you are raising Angus or Sim Angus they will be the quality for your success. She will continue to be a building block. I hate to part with her at an early age but I want to let anyone have this opportunity. Double C Angus

AI’d to BJ Surpass 9156, AAA#19774516 on 5/10/21 Princess to the Queen KB Forever Lady. I have full sib embryos in the tank is the only reason this bred heifer is leaving Marion. We have always been in love with Simmental cattle. Since 1971 when we AI ed our first using Simmental semen. Even with that I can appreciate cattle from all breeds. After Simmental would be Angus at the top of the list. They represent the quality from my friend Kevin Beckington program. I have proven for many years to build a quality new cow family. The foundation is the most important past. That is why you see the Forever Lady throughout my herd. Don’t miss the family members. Her Angus calf by BJ Surpass is the result of the recommendation from Kevin as a great first calving heifer with great performance.

This one is hard to let go, but we have a number of daughters in our program making this an easier decision. PIE Gusty has a proven track record as a donor with progeny that have graced pastures in over 6 states. PIE Gusty is sired by PIE Get R Done 684 out of a New Trend daughter PIE New Gusty Trend 3036. New Trend Daughters have made their mark all over Canada and the United States and 9003 does not disappoint. She is long bodied, smooth made with a big foot and she passes that on. Gusty has averaged over 8 viable embryos via conventional flushes and over 7 via IVF. She has made the trip to GGS Genetics 11 times where Dr. Bryce Slavik has done his magic. Gusty’s heifer calf, WSF MS LYSSA 9003 25J is a Red Northline Tucker 54E daughter that is super easy on the eyes, definitely a show heifer prospect with a ton of Cow Power. It is hard to make them like her.

The sire of Minnie Pearl, Back In Black needs to go back and find some semen and watch the outcome. Back N Black has influenced programs in the U.S. and Canada. Minnie Pearls ET full brother is Baxter Black our senior herd sire. Here is your chance to introduce these power genetics in your herd. Minnie Pearl has been productive for our program and Willard as well. We hope she can continue to be a donor because we know what she has done and can continue to do for anyone. Dont overlook she will have a High Road calf about 3 weeks after the sale. Minnie Pearl also has a Pays To Believe daughter on sale that is nice. I need to tell you a story. I don’t know if working with Simmental cattle for 50 years has given me a special gift. Sometimes when I am walking around my herd I swear I can hear them talking. But more likely what is happening is I am reading their minds. When Dream Boy was young in the pasture I heard young heifers communicating with each other. Wow, what a stud! Oh, he’s a Dream Boy! Look at that Butt, broad shoulders, and those big feet. You know what they say about a big foot. Oh! What a Dream Boy! With a mother like Miss Cherry you know where he gets his looks from. But another heifer states with a father like CC Liberty, a maternal brother to Sandeen Upper Class, I know where he gets his strength from. Good news- our September semen check showed he is producing quality 95% fertile semen. Heifers, keep on dreaming! Double C Simmentals
