FALL NORTH CAROLINA

September 6, 2025

DP Sales Management along with the North Carolina Simmental Association invites everyone whether you are a consignor, past buyer, potential buyers or just an on looker or a Simmentals enthusiast. Plan on being in the seats or on DV Auctions on Saturday Sept.6th. The 50th Anniversary sale last year was extra special. The 51st will be the same with consignors bringing like always, their best. The Fall Harvest has a great track record. This sale represents a strong association, good cattle, food and fellowship.

The North Carolina Fall Harvest sale is the best Association sale in the fall. The sale will include breds, pairs, opens, pregnancies; Simmental influenced commercial heifers, plus a couple of bulls ready to use this fall. The embryo / genetic lots are more than special. They will only add to your program and come from leading operations. Matters of fact, some of the genetic lots are the same breeding as AJSA members in North Carolina and South Carolina that were in the winner’s circle in the highly completive AJSA National Classic show. Congratulations to all the AJSA members that participated in the AJSA Eastern Regional and the National Classic.

This year the new Executive Secretary is Brooke Harward. She is a past consignor and heavily involved in the beef business with her family. Many already know Brooke or have crossed paths. Brooke has hit the ground running and will be a huge asset to your association. All her duties will include you and the NCSA and add to the growth of your association and breed in North Carolina. Please reach out to Brooke prior to the sale and sale weekend. Thanks to Jennie Rucker for her past leadership and we look forward seeing her and all her grandkid at the sale.

The Fall Harvest sale has 20 consignors from 7 different states. The sale along with the cattle customer satisfaction and service is one the key points of the 51st sale. All the consignors have done all the health guidelines for interstate travel with assistance from the consignor and sale vet Jeff Broadaway. One thing as a potential buyer, study the catalog and all the info, genetics, cow families, you should able to some good choices for your operation. This is the strongest market many have ever seen so add genetics and build up your herd with Simmental genetics. Call any of the consignors or call, text Drew, Holli, Tommy or I.

STCC

Here’s your chance to invest in a proven genetic combination backed by both pedigree and performance. These conventional embryos stem from the legendary donor STCC Dream Child and the now deceased, widely respected W/C Bet on Red - a mating that continues to make waves across the breed. This exact cross produced the red high-selling bred heifer at last year’s NC Simmental Sale, purchased by Bill Sloup in Nebraska, and she’s been a standout both phenotypically and on paper. Whether you’re looking to build a donor battery or raise elite show prospects, these full sib embryos have the consistency, marketability, and eye appeal to get it done. Dream Child never misses on what she’s mated too, just look up her daughter by County O in the sale, they all offer that deep body soggy brood cow look, ready to make you money. Genetics this good don’t come around often - don’t miss this chance to plug into one of the breed’s most elite matings.. These will be the last set of the cross to be offered for sale.

Consignor: Cherokee Hills Farm

This open heifer brings power, presence, and pedigree in one complete package.. Sired by Geff County O and out of the elite STCC Dream Child donor, she combines proven genetics with the look and structure to be competitive from the start- and a future as bright as any we’ve offered. Her dam, STCC Dream Child, continues to solidify her legacy as a true cornerstone donor. Dream Child passes on her big rib, softness, and stunning profile time and again. This heifer is no expectation - she’s bold in her body, clean fronted, and sound on the move, with that signature maternal look that turns heads in and out of the ring.. This female is a maternal sibling to our high seller from last year, a female that now anchors a premier program in Nebraska.

Consignor: Cherokee Hills Farm

Bet on Dreams is the kind you build around - powerfully bred, maternally influenced, and loaded with cow sense. She’s sired by the late and great Bet on Red, a household name in the breed whose legacy continues to shape elite programs across the country. On the bottom side, she’s backed by the legendary STCC Dream Child, making her a granddaughter of one of the most consistent and profitable donors we’ve ever used. This female puts it all together - look, build, and a royal pedigree that stacked with proven producers. Deep bodied, smooth made, and still feminine in her design, she carries herself with the kind of balance and function that sets long-term females apart. Bred to WHF Point Proven, one of the most talked-about bulls in the business for combining foot quality and muscle.

Her dam is a 12 year old matron that is always at the top of the list and this lady is a spitting image of her. She has all the power needed while keeping that brood cow look. With her outcross pedigree she will be fun to mate with any of the hottest bulls of today. She sells bred for a fall baby to ES Five Star Limitless LJ39. That baby should hit the ground and grow.

Among the most storied cow lines in this country over the past decade is the great “Knockout” family. They have left their mark on the tanbark, and more importantly, in production. The dam of S12L is our Knockout C043 donor, who produced a $48,000 daughter that went on to win her division at the American Royal and completed her show career as a Top 10 Overall female at the AJSA National Classic just two years ago. We were excited when we made the mating to Berwick, and maintained that excitement as the first daughter’s hit the ground. S12L is near perfect at the ground, flexible in her skeletal design, square hipped, and deep sided. Her value should increase as she gets into the prime of her productive career.

Miss IRA continues moving the Barlow Farms program forward each year via fresh matings resulting in consistently good progeny, boasting a longstanding productive life at 13 years young. In turn, Miranda mated this resultant daughter back to some great Angus genetics, for a commerciallyminded pair. The Simmental breed has loads of elite donors across every state in the US. working and producing on a high level. The best attribute is that donor cow producing at the top for the owners and buyers as well. Even with the technology of IVF and sexing genetics is that said donor cow can produce progeny of both sexes. Out of those many top of the breed donors, we feel Lookin Sharp makes the list and has the track record with her outstanding production whether show winners or top sellers. We knew going in when they announced Lookin Sharp for sale at the New Direction, we didn’t ever realize we would be the new owner. We were happy and proud that day to own such a donor that will always be at the top of the list. By the way, we turned down Doug twice and finally decided to offer GCC Genoa and RJ Trust Fund. JSUL Rosie 2610K

There is no mating more popular in the Simmental breed today than the mating of JSUL Something About Mary 8421 to the great Peine/GS Rosie 677D. The results are proven, and they work! Several full siblings have garnered five and six figure hammer prices at auction. Backdrop pictures of this female’s full siblings have littered social media highlights and breed publication show results for a few years now. 2610K is an attractive, moderate framed, cherry red brood cow that can enter your fall calving herd, and calve shortly after sale day. She is moderate, square hipped, bold ribbed, and deep sided with an excellent set of feet and legs underneath her. She’ll calve in October to one of the best femaleproducing sires we have used in recent years; Volk Backdraft CC F810. The red market continues to be hot! The red pair you’ll have on pasture over the coming months will surely turn some heads!

Rosae represents one of the most proven and dominant pedigrees to surface in the Hilbrands Cattle Company program in the past decade. Few females have achieved the same level of success in production as the now deceased “Crazy N Love” donor. Opportunities to purchase daughters are now limited, and this red hided daughter out of Executive Order could be the ticket. She is moderate framed, flexible in her build, and ties well out of the top of her shoulder.

Executive Order 8543B

Fundamental, functional, and durable is how I would describe the daughters of Volk Backdraft CC F810 in our herd. They represent the largest sire group in the cow herd, and for good reason; they work in production. I strongly believe success can be influenced by lining up some of the nation’s top cow families, and Selina boasts a unique pedigree for a red female that contains the likes of 8543U, Flatout Flirty, Panarama, and “Cinderella”. She is sound at the surface, deep bodied, square hipped, and milks heavily. At side, she has a red bull calf sired by B&K/IVS/WCS County Line 83J, and has been exposed back the same way. A quality red pair in the pasture? Sign me up!

H14 is a homozygous polled, solid black cow that has done a great job for me. She was bred to be a brood cow being a daughter of the female maker SRS J914 Preferred Beef and out of a Welshs Dew it Right 067T donor cow that hails from the 3C program. Like I said, she’s straight bred to be a brood cow that will bring in a stout calf year in and year out. She comes bred for a fall calf by the calving ease sire ES Five Star Limitless LJ39 that will be good whether it’s a bull or heifer.

A maternal sister to the highly popular JSUL Something About Mary 8421, the 0135H female commands attention. You would be hard pressed to find many cow families in the Simmental breed that are as in demand as the “Proud Mary” family. The value 0135H has as a breeding piece is high, and she can produce! She is good footed, and sound in motion. She is dimensional, and has plenty of depth. The “Proud Mary” daughters are versatile in the show ring and the breeding pen, and 0135H is another excellent daughter. She is due to calve in the spring, and then can head to your donor pen where she has been flushed once with excellent results.

M657 and M159 are first class bulls sired by the top producing sires Bank on It and Bet on Red. M657 is a solid red bull who is a full sib to TX Desert Rose that we showed last year to several champion placings in the show ring. We could have sold her dam many times; however, we decided to bring her progeny to the Fall Harvest instead. M159 is also red with that signature baldy look like his sire. Two excellent red genetic bulls for sale.
