We are selling two and you can look at them and see why. Beef bulls with a little style and EPDs as well. D245 is out of a nice black baldy cow. Her full sister is a Donor for Top Hat Simmental in Utah. D245 maternal brother was a top seller 2 years ago.

Once again a 245S son will be one of the headline bulls in the Bull of the Bluegrass.

We have sent sons and daughters of Sierra to some of the most prominent Simmental breeders across the United States and Canada. D014 could continue that path.

If you have a set of Angus cows registered or commercial and are thinking about cross breeding buy this bull. We can only image this SimAngus calves by this bull.

You would be able to sell Bulls, Females, steers and be instant competition for all breeders. The Blackstone sire group will become a house hold name in the next few bull sales. He saw light duty in this crop but is in heavy use now. He is producing lots of good calves and the majority are baldies. Homo Polled and Homo Black

Doug likes to talk about the 240J line and that is the granddam of 245A but we believe the torch has been passed to 245A. She is a flat awesome cow and starting to show thru in her calves. Evolution is a small sample of what she can do. Another one of the bulls that by phenotype we would use but due to his parentage will not work for us. Possibly 50% of our herd carry some of his genetics. Homo Polled

Everybody loves a baldy and D246 has that perfect blaze we all want.

Along with that pretty face come a scale mashing set of data. 2nd high yearling weight bull for us. Top 1 % in YW, ADG, and TI. Top 2% in WW and top 15% for API. Another spring yearling that will help your cow herd in many ways. E241 comes from a very maternal oriented family and has a Milk EPD in the top 4% and an API in the top 15%. Then he is in the top 10% for all growth traits and top 2% for TI. Homo Polled

Disclaimer: Don’t discount this bull for not being in extra condition. He spent the fall breeding commercial cows. We pulled the best purebred and percentage bulls to put in the showbarn last summer. D753 was the purebred choice. No holes/faults in this bull. We practice what we preach and put the best bull on our commercial cows.

In the end it may hurt his sale value but we will make it up in the value he puts in the calf crop. Buy this guy with confidence he knows what to do.

This is the last calf we will have out of T752. She was a staple in the herd for many years topping the performance data. We have a couple daughters in production and have sold many sons. Performance bull deluxe here. D372 has been a standout since hitting the ground.

2nd heaviest weaning and 1st in his yearling contemporaries. This bull is super long bodied, massive made and yet sound is his structure. Ranks in the top 1% for all performance traits while being in the top 15% for calving ease. I hadn’t really studied his paper work until this footnote and its exciting. A full brother was the 2nd high selling bull last year. This cow does it every time. D372 fits that mold again.

We love the look and performance of D242. Dr. Allen was not really wanting to turn 242Y out with the A007 bull looks like it worked out Ok. 242Y is one of our lead donors and has done it again. She milks great, breeds on time and flushes great. I don’t know if we could expect more out of a cow. She does it all. This is the 50th Anniversary of the Simmental breed and it is fitting that this group of dedicated breeders celebrate their 20th Annual. I​n the decision to start a bull sale 19 years ago there was no Simmental bull sale in the state other than a UK performance tested bull sale and there was some uncertainty in all the process however Dr Henry Allen and Fred Swain made the decision to start and become bull suppliers for there customers whomever they be. Over the years the group has sold bulls to 28 states and Canada. ​As in past sales again the breeders involved are offering a great and consistent set of bulls​.​​Whether you are a Simmental breeder, Angus breeder, club calf producer or a commercial beef producer you will have a great selection of bulls for your operation. The bull selection is probably the best set ever with a wide range of pedigrees and just a plain good group of impressive bulls. Many past customers have bulls working in their operations across Kentucky and the United States. Just think how many Simmental bulls are working across the state of Kentucky and the genetic merit that has been added to cow herds. In visiting with many customers the genetics are definitely improving their end product and bottom line. This is one of the later bull sales in Kentucky and you as a producer can rest assured you can find the right bull for your program. Buy the correct herd sire and take him home and put him to work. This group is committed to the seed stock industry and the Simmental breed and that’s the reason for their 20​th bull sale.

The cattle numbers across the country are low as they have been since 1959 however the prices are ​backed off somewhat however​the group still offers a top group of bulls. There is no better time so select a Simmental bull that offers efficiency and that high hybrid vigor which results to pounds and profit in your cow herd. If you haven’t used a Simmental in the past I encourage you to visit with the consignors or and learn more about the advantages of using a Simmental or SimAngus™ bull.
