2020 Mission Ignition takes giant ‘leap’ for world missions >> BRIAN HOBBS
On Feb. 29, Leap Day, more than 1,000 children from across Oklahoma, first through sixth grade, took part in Mission Ignition, one of the largest annual children’s missions events in the state. Taking place at three locations—Lawton, Oklahoma City and Tulsa—the event featured a wide array of hands-on missions activities, as well as opportunities to meet actual Southern Baptist missionaries from around the world. /// SEE PAGE 5

The theme of the 2020 Oklahoma Baptists Women’s Retreat will be “Gifts,” and is based on 2 Cor. 9:15, “Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!” Those attending the event, April 17-18, may consider the experience a gift, as Amy Cordova describes why the annual event at Falls Creek Baptist Conference Center is something women cherish. /// SEE PAGE 7

Years ago, one of our dear friends brought his family to church on Easter Sunday. On the way, their oldest child, a 7-year-old boy, moaned from his spot in the third row seat, “I don’t know why we are even going to church today.” His father was concerned, “Why do you say that, son?” The little boy, dressed in his Easter best, responded, “We already know what the preacher is going to preach about.” Hallelujah!
