James R. Andrews, M.D. Dr. James Andrews is internationally known and recognized for his scientific and clinical research contributions in knee, shoulder and elbow injuries, as well as his skill as an orthopedic surgeon. He is a founding partner and the medical director of Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine and President and Chairman of the Board of the Andrews Research and Education Foundation. Dr. Andrews has been a mentor for more than 250 orthopedic and sports medicine fellows and more than 45 primary care sports medicine fellows. He is heavily involved in education and research in sports medicine and orthopedic surgery, and he has made major presentations on every continent and authored numerous scientific articles and books. Dr. Andrews serves as the Co–Medical Director for Intercollegiate Sports at Auburn University, Senior Orthopaedic Consultant for Intercollegiate Athletics at the University of Alabama and Senior Orthopaedic Consultant for the Washington Redskins Professional Football team. Dr. Andrews also serves as the Medical Director for the Tampa Bay Rays.

A press conference was held at Gulf Breeze Hospital to announce the opening of a world-class clinic in Gulf Breeze, Florida.

2007

James R. Andrews, M.D. performed his inaugural surgery in the Andrews Institute Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC).

2007

Sports Medicine Outreach began affiliation with Andrews Institute and continued contracted coverage for Escambia and Santa Rosa county public high schools.
