Baptist Nassau Construction Begins on New Medical Office Building and Other Enhancements Construction is underway on the $8 million project that will reshape the look of the Baptist Nassau campus and add a three-story medical office building. Physicians and other offices are planned for the new building that is scheduled to open in the summer of 2014. The project also includes: • Constructing a new parking lot and courtyard, along with repaving and landscaping 18th Street to create a smoother entrance into the hospital • Relocating physician offices now in the brick building beside the hospital into the new medical office building • Adding a covered walkway connecting the new office building to the hospital

Baptist South Kudos! Congratulations to Kathy Newton, RN, MSN, on receiving her Masters of Science degree in Nursing from Florida Atlantic University, and to Lisa Degroat on receiving her bachelor’s degree in Allied Health Sciences degree from the University of Cincinnati.

Wolfson Children’s Hospital Christmas in July Toy and Donation Drive Employees are invited to join in collecting new unwrapped toys from now until July 25 for patients of Wolfson Children’s Hospital. A gift list of items needed is available, and you can also make a secure donation online. We also will accept check donations at the drop-off locations. Financial contributions are as critical as toy donations since funds can be used to purchase developmentally appropriate toys for special-needs children, as well as age-appropriate items for infants and teens.

Toy Drive Day for Employees and the Public Toy Drive Day is July 25, 7 am – 2 pm, Wolfson Children’s Hospital, Rotunda Other employee drop-off locations through July 25: • Baptist Jacksonville, Tower Cafeteria • Baptist Beaches, Administration • Baptist Clay, Tina Caraway, ED Nurse Manager • Baptist Nassau, Administration • Baptist South, Human Resources • All RPM Automotive stores in Jacksonville (the public can also drop off at these locations between now and July 24)

Physician Integration Walk With a Doc on July 20 Kiersten Prince, DO, of Baptist Primary Care Callahan invites patients, families and friends to join her at “Walk With a Doc” on July 20 at Ewing Park in Callahan. Registration is at 9:15 am, followed by a short health talk by Dr. Prince at 9:30 am. The walk begins at 9:35 am. For more information, call 879.4544.
