Bounce Back from Cancer™ is a partnership between The Miami HEAT and Baptist Health Foundation to raise critical funds to help the non-profit Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute achieve its vision of a world without cancer.
Cancer is the second-leading cause of death in the United States. One in two men and one in three women will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetimes. Bounce Back from Cancer™ is a movement to help defeat those statistics through community events.
As the region’s only cancer center selected as a Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Alliance member, Miami Cancer Institute is redefining collaboration between a globally-acclaimed cancer research institution and a community-based cancer center. Together, they combine expertise, insights, diagnostics, targeted therapies, advanced technologies, data and consultation, all for the benefit of cancer patients.
Funds raised through Bounce Back from Cancer™ will help Miami Cancer Institute conduct breakthrough research and clinical trials that will lead to effective new treatments and eventually a cure.

It’s the perfect way to get to know your work buddies outside the office, spend time with family and friends, share some laughs, and support each other. Are you ready to take the first step in defeating cancer? Join us for our community-wide signature event, Bounce Back from Cancer™! Friends and supporters will unite to raise critical research funds and cancer care for Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute on Saturday, March 15, 2025. Registrants can choose their course:
• Full Court Challenge – Dribble a basketball or walk 14.2 miles from Miami Cancer Institute to the Kaseya Center.
• Individual fundraising minimum requirement: $500
• Half Court Challenge – Dribble a basketball or walk 6 miles from Coconut Grove to the Kaseya Center.
• Individual fundraising minimum requirement: $300
• Final Stretch Challenge – Dribble a basketball or walk 2 miles from The Underline’s Brickell Backyard to the Kaseya Center.
