Joker Draw – Terms and Conditions

1. The name of the game is JOKER DRAW.

2. The game will commence from Monday 9 October 2023 and will end on Thursday 11 April 2024 (unless the Joker to found prior).

3. The first draw of the promotion will commence on Thursday 12 October 2023 at 6:30pm.

4. Entrants for this promotion must be financial and current members at the time of the draw to be eligible to win. This is an over 18s promotion.

5. Entry into the game is gained by the patron when they purchase any beverage at the bar between the time frame of the promotion (Thursday from 4:30pm to 6:29pm AEDT.

6. Subject to satisfying the entry requirements, the patron will receive a raffle ticket per drink purchased. The raffle ticket will be their chance of entering the JOKER DRAW.

7. Entries for this promotion must be received before the time the draw is conducted

8. The draw will be conducted every Thursday from 6:30pm AEDT.

9. The JOKER DRAW will be conducted at Birrong Sports, Cnr Rodd Street and Gascoigne Road, Birrong NSW 2143.

10. The number of the raffle ticket of the successful entrant will be announced via the public address system to ensure all patrons within the club has the opportunity of hearing the announcement.

11. If the successful entrant fails to present himself or herself to the person conducting the draw within four (4) minutes of the announcement, redraws will take place every four (4) minutes until a successful entrant presents themselves

12. If the last entrant selected at 7:54pm has not presented themselves by 7:58pm, the ‘Cash Prize’ will jackpot to the next draw date.

13. The successful entrant will have the opportunity to select one card from the deck of 53 cards (52 playing cards + 1 Joker), which are turned face down on a board. If the successful entrant selects the joker card, they have won the ‘Cash Prize’. If the joker is not selected, the prize jackpots to the following draw night.

14. If the joker is selected, all playing cards will be taken down from the board and collected from the safe storage by a senior staff member, where they will reshuffle the entire 53 playing cards again. The game will then reset with the ‘Cash Prize’ starting from $100.

15. If the joker is or is not selected, the host will announce this via the PA system. They will announce the next draw date, as well as the updated ‘Cash Prize’ amount.

16. When the prize jackpots to the following draw, the draw will continue with the previous draw’s total number of cards with the non-winning card removed. Nonwinning playing cards will not be placed back on the game board and placed in a safe storage with a senior staff member. The position of the cards on the game board will be reshuffled in front of a witness. The joker will always be apart of the set of cards on the game board.

17. On the final night of the JOKER DRAW, the prize must be won. A draw will be conducted of entrants continuously every four (4) minutes until a successful entrant wins the prize.

18. The original ‘cash prize’ amount is $100. If the ‘Cash Prize’ has not won, it will increase by $100 the following draw and will keep jackpotting $100 every draw until the joker card has been successfully selected

19. The board containing the game cards will be secured in a card cage only to be accessed under the custody of the Venue Manager or any manager on duty.

20. The total prize pool of the ‘cash prize’ is $5,200.

General Terms and Conditions

21. Suspended members at the time of the draw are not eligible to enter the draw or claim prizes.

22. Participation is open to all those in venue over the age of 18, except employees and immediate families of the Promoter and their associated companies and agencies and participating outlets. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, exspouse, de facto spouse, child, or stepchild (whether natural or by adoption), parent, stepparent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, stepbrother, stepsister, or 1st cousin.

23. In the event of a technical failure (including but not limited to the display screens, PA system or draw system), draws may be postponed or cancelled. Cancellation or postpone of a draw is strictly at management discretion and negotiation will not be entered. In the event of a cancellation, prizing of cancelled draws is forfeited and the cancelled draws value will be added to the following draw. This does not apply to the Bonus Draws -the bonus draw prize will be forfeited.

24. All winners are required to present proof of identity and their raffle ticket to claim their prize.

25. Birrong Sports Club is not permitted to issue any more than $2,000 prize money in cash. Any prize money exceeding $2,000 must be awarded as a registered cheque or EFT. If the prize is claimed 10pm or later, the entire prize must be issued as a registered cheque or EFT. All registered cheques will be available two business days after the draw, the winner/s will be contacted directly to advise them of the specific timing.

26. This competition is a game of chance and skill plays no part in determining the winner.

27. The promoter is Birrong Sports Club.
