TEAM HELL OF THE YEAR?

YEAH!

Since moving to our beautiful, premium location on Low Petergate, the Bang team have been growing in numbers and from strength to strength.

Winning awards, gaining national recognition and becoming locally known in York as THE salon brand, synonimous with outstanding hairdressing and customer service.

With all this in mind, it still came as a massive surprise that we were shortlisted by ‘Hairdressers Journal International’ as one of the Top six salons

in the UK in the category of ‘Salon Team Of The Year’ at the 2012 British Hairdressing Business Awards. The award ceremony took place at a lavish black tie event in The Lancaster, Mayfair on September 17th. Just to put you in the picture, this is like the Oscars or Grammys of hairdressing, celebrating the very best businesses in the industry.

The field was fierce and we had no expectations of scooping the main prize, but just being there was overwhelming. We didn’t win, but who cares? As far as we are concerned, our team are the best, they work so hard and they deserve every bit of recognition that comes their way.

Our latest new team members, Craig, Matt and Rachel are great additions to this bunch of passionate and talented individuals. We’ll tell you more about those guys in the next issue of Bang Magazine in the new year. For now, just come to Bang and see what all the fuss is about!

So that’s why we’ve decided to set up our very own YouTube channel - ‘Bang Hair Exper ts’. We always try to educate our clients in styling their hair, but we also understand that in the time alloted at your appointment, we might just sometimes make it look easier than it is. Well, stress over your tresses no more, because you can relax over a glass of wine and at your leisure, perfect this season’s hottest styles (and some classics too).

We’ve opened with eight styles that you can play, pause and rewind as often as you like until you are a practical master at all of them. The styles range from a classic, big bouncy blowdry to tousled, sexy waves and from this season’s big quiff trend to some great ways to plait your hair.
