The next time you put an item on hold with the Ballarat Libraries, you can choose to pick it up from the Ballarat Research Hub at Eureka (BRHAE) at the Eureka Centre!
BRHAE is now a pickup point during opening hours, for all Ballarat Libraries holds, making it a convenient and accessible spot to collect books in Ballarat East.
Choose ‘Eureka Library’ as the pick-up library when you next place a hold online or on the Libraries Victoria app, and you’ll get a notification when it’s available.

COUNCIL COVID-19 RAPID ANTIGEN TEST PROGRAM
The City of Ballarat is distributing FREE Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) under the Victorian government program. This will assist with early detection and treatment of COVID. You can collect:
• 2 packs of 5 RATs
• An extra 2 packs for each person in your household
• People with disability and their carers can get 4 packs of 5 RATs
• You can collect as often as required, while stocks last.

You’ve heard of the Australian Reading Hour, but this year Ballarat Libraries is hosting the Listening Hour.
Come along for an hour of ear reading with audiobooks at the Sebastopol Library.
Join the Tech Café, with Vision Australia and library staff, from 10am to learn how to access eAudiobooks on your own smart phone or tablet. Extra devices will be available for those who need to borrow one.
The Ballarat Libraries and Vision Australia both offer large collections of Audiobooks online for borrowers to access and invite anyone interested in learning more to come along.

CLI-FI READING CHALLENGE
Climate fiction (Cli-Fi) is a phenomenon that is represented in adult fiction, young adult fiction, junior fiction and picture books as well as narrative non-fiction.
Cli-Fi explores themes of human altered climates and can offer a way of humanising the science of climate change. Join this reading challenge to explore the themes of Climate Fiction and become aware of the various ways you can access the library and be a part of a reading community.

National Sorry Day, or the National Day of Healing, is an annual event that has been held in Australia on 26 May since 1998.
