Next summer, the world will turn its eyes to North America as the FIFA World Cup 2026 kicks off, the biggest in history, spanning 48 nations and three host countries: the United States, Mexico and Canada. Yet before the roar of the crowd and the opening whistle, there is something even more powerful, the stillness that comes before history begins.
That is where Noni Madueke, our Autumn 2025 cover star, lives.
There is a rare calm to him, the kind that comes from conviction rather than comfort. In Before the Whistle Blows, Noni opens up about faith, focus and the inner world that shapes the player we see on the pitch. He speaks of pressure not as something to fear, but as something to understand. “You feel it; you just get better at handling it,” he tells us, a line that captures the very spirit of the modern athlete: aware, grounded and constantly evolving.
For Noni, football is not just a career; it is a calling. His story is one of patience and persistence, of quiet self-belief sharpened by experience. From leaving home at sixteen to chase a dream abroad, to stepping onto the pitch in an England shirt and assisting Harry Kane on debut, Madueke reminds us that greatness is built in silence long before it is seen under the lights.
This issue is not only about what happens on the pitch; it is also about the balance between sport and style, grit and grace.
We sit down with Viddal Riley, the calm force with many talents: boxer, musician and creator, whose quiet determination proves that power does not need to shout . His world is one of discipline and duality, a reminder that mastery in any field begins with self-awareness.
And in Milan, where football and fashion collided, Ball was invited to witness Udinese FC unveil their striking 2025/26 third kit at Milan Fashion Week. The design, a golden-yellow collaboration between Macron, Camera Moda Fashion Trust and young designer Domenico Orefice, is made from recycled fabric and marked with the Friuli Venezia Giulia eagle. It reflects a new era for the game, one that values sustainability, craftsmanship and the shared language between sport and style.
As the countdown to 2026 continues, one thing is certain. Football is not just something we watch; it is something we live. Through Ball, we invite our members to experience it all, from exclusive access to fixtures across North America to the stories that capture the spirit behind the sport.
So here is to the calm before the whistle, to the moments that define us, and to the stories still waiting to be written.
This is Ball, The Athlete’s Trusted Voice.
With gratitude,

Bespoke charters for every journey.

A bold new chapter in London’s residential evolution is underway.
Introducing 100 Kensington - a landmark £500 million vertical village that will redefine the West London skyline and is the only development of its kind in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Offering 276 new homes for purchase, this visionary scheme is being delivered by leading developers SevenCapital and MARK Capital Management. Together they are redefining modern urban living, blending history, design excellence and community, into a truly exceptional address.
Set on a 1.7-hectare site, the area will now be transformed into a thriving, dynamic residential quarter just minutes from Holland Park, Kensington High Street and London’s Museum Quarter.
At its heart is a 29-storey tower, the tallest residential structure in the borough, accompanied by six other meticulously crafted buildings bisected by a linear central garden, with further roof gardens and terraces.
The residences at 100 Kensington are designed for discerning occupants, with Conran & Partners curating interior concepts inspired by local culture and heritage. Ranging from 540 sq. ft. to 1,776 sq. ft., these thoughtfully crafted homes offer a variety of layouts, from studio apartments to expansive threebedroom duplex penthouses. Buyers can expect meticulous attention to detail: herringbone timber floors, coffered ceilings with feature lighting, and dual-aspect reception rooms that open onto Juliet or stepout balconies. Full-height windows bathe each space in natural light, revealing sweeping views of the London skyline.

Kitchens provide a refined take on the classic shaker style, featuring Caesarstone worktops, luxury appliances and bespoke timber veneer cabinetry. In select apartments, utility rooms add a level of convenience rarely found in central London developments.
Principal bedrooms continue the theme of luxury, offering plush carpeting, custom-built wardrobes, and ensuite bathrooms that rival five-star hotels with large-format marble effect porcelain tiles, rainfall showers and bespoke vanity units. Every inch designed for both form and function.

Residents enter the self-contained vertical village through a soaring 7-metre-high lobby on the third-level podium, ensuring enhanced privacy and security. Here, concierge services and a stylish residents’ lounge set the tone for the experience that lies ahead.

The stunning central linear garden, 173 metres long and 18 metres wide, acts as the green heart of 100 Kensington in addition to being a space in which residents can relax and engage. Created by awardwinning landscape architects IDP, the garden includes pathways, ornamental planting, sculpture by artist David Harber, and seasonal flower displays.
Elevated amenities are a key hallmark of the scheme. A glasswalled pavilion accommodates up to 60 guests for cinema screenings or private events, while a wellnessfocused leisure centre provides a gym, 20-metre swimming pool, and fitness studios, all available to residents.

“100 Kensington is unique, the only new vertical village in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. With its tranquil landscaped gardens, rooftop terraces, leisure facilities and premium apartments, residents will benefit from enhanced security, privacy and a strong sense of community.”
Comments James Moody, COO of SevenCapital.
Situated within a 10-minute walk of Earl’s Court, West Kensington, and Kensington Olympia stations, 100 Kensington offers enviable connectivity. Cultural institutions like the V&A, Natural History Museum, and Science Museum are moments away, while a range of retail and dining locations are all within easy access. From the vibrancy of buzzing Kensington High Street and South Kensington village, to the luxury fashion and fine dining of Knightsbridge, residents are spoilt for choice, with choices for everyday convenience equally impressive: Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and Waitrose stores are all located nearby.
Potential residents can immerse themselves in 100 Kensington and experience fine apartment living, by visiting the 100 Kensington marketing suite at Kensington High Street. Visitors will find a tabletop model that sets out the scheme clearly, supported by an interactive digital presentation that allows visitors to admire not only the layout out and design, but also the views.
A full-scale show apartment is also available to view, replicating the exact finishes and design details of the completed market sale apartments.

Prices at 100 Kensington range from £895,000 to £5 million, with completion expected summer 2027. The 100 Kensington Marketing Suite is located at 154-158 Kensington High Street, London, W8 7RL and is open 10am to 6pm Monday to Friday, 10am to 5pm Saturday and 11am to 3pm Sunday. When the lights go up, the crowd roars, or the stream goes live, everything you’ve worked for is on display. But away from the stage, pitch or screen, there’s another game to be played, making sure today’s success translates into tomorrow’s security.
That’s where a Business Manager comes in.

At BAND, we partner with athletes, musicians, entertainers and influencers to bring clarity, confidence and structure to lives that move fast. Our role is simple: handle the complexities behind the scenes so talent can focus on performing at their best in the spotlight.
While careers in sport and entertainment can be fastpaced and exhilarating, they often come with lumpy earnings, and a unique timeline - making it all the more important to make the most of your peak years and set yourself up for long-term success. We make sure income streams, from salaries and sponsorships to royalties and collaborations, are structured to deliver lasting financial security.
From international brand partnerships to digital revenue streams, the opportunities are bigger than ever. We work collaboratively with your team to ensure deals are watertight, rights are protected, and every decision is made with your long-term goals in mind.
Every contract, invoice or tax deadline takes time and energy. A Business Manager brings expertise in complex areas, and removes the background noise, letting you channel your full attention into training, creating or performing, the things that made your career possible in the first place.
When the season ends, the spotlight fades, or trends shift, your next chapter begins. Whether that’s building a business, investing smartly, or leaving a legacy project, BAND helps you move forward with confidence.

We’re more than advisers, we’re trusted partners with deep experience in the sports, media and creative industries. We understand the pressures that come with life in the public eye, and we bring independence, discretion and insight to every decision.

Most importantly, we put your ambitions front and centre. For some, success is about maximising earnings. For others, it’s about freedom, legacy or impact. Whatever the vision, we make sure the career you’ve built today supports the life you want tomorrow.
Because when your talent takes you centre stage, you deserve someone behind the scenes making sure it lasts.
Contact the team at BAND to understand how our experienced Business Managers can help you deliver success long into the future.

For high-profile athletes, personal and family security is more important than ever. With increasing concerns over home safety and public exposure, many are turning to professionally trained protection dogs for peace of mind. We sat down with Jake O’Brien to discuss his experience with Chaperone K9, the decision to welcome Knox into his family, and how the presence of a loyal, trained companion has transformed the way he approaches life both on and off the pitch.
As a high-profile athlete, security is a constant consideration - what made you decide that a protection dog was the right step for you?
“I think as a high-profile person, security is very important. Not just for you but for your family, knowing that if I’m away for whatever reason, my family are safe at home. As we love dogs, it was a no-brainer to get Knox, as he’s very loyal and would act as the first line of protection if anything were to happen.”
What made you choose Chaperone K9?
“I personally chose Chaperone K9 from word of mouth from fellow teammates. Also, I came across their social media page and seeing who they’ve provided dogs for, and the professionalism and care they have for their dogs they train made my mind up fast.”
Can you tell us about the process of working with Chaperone K9from choosing the right breed to the training process and family integration?
“After going through Chaperone K9’s social media and website, I called them looking for more information on the process. They were very helpful and explained everything very easily. I told them my preferences, and not long after, they set me up with the perfect breed and type of personality of dog. Knox was in the process of being trained and then tailored to my lifestyle. Every few weeks, he would come up with Baraka and introduce me to him with my small dog and my girlfriend Sophie. Everything was tailored to my lifestyle and schedule, and eventually, after weeks of meeting Knox and getting him familiar with his new home, he moved in with us full-time.”

Many players live under the spotlight. Do you find the presence of your dog helps reduce that sense of vulnerability?
“A lot of players are more at risk of burglaries because of their job and being in the spotlight on social media. This tends to mean you’re more of a target. Having Knox gives us that extra security in the house, as well as being a very friendly pet when having to be on guard.”
How important is peace of mind off the pitch in allowing you to perform at your best on it?
“It’s very important to have peace of mind at home, knowing everyone is safe while you have to get on with football.”
How did your family react to the idea of bringing a trained protection dog into the home?
“My family were always dog lovers, so it was very easy, but just introducing Knox to them was the main part to make sure they’re comfortable and that Knox is still a pet at the end of the day, but obviously just very well trained and protective of his family.”
How has your dog adapted to life around children, friends, or visitors?
“Knox has been great with kids and visitors; there’s never been a problem, and he loves the attention. This is something that was part of his training, as we always have family and friends staying with us and visiting us.”

If you had to describe your dog’s personality in three words, what would they be?
“Protective, affectionate, friendly.”
Why was it important for you to choose a trusted partner like Chaperone K9 for something as personal as family security?
“It’s very important to choose the right people who themselves do everything properly and professionally. Also, I looked into how well treated the dogs are, and it was top down there with them in the best hands.”
What reassurances did the training process give you about the balance between protection and gentleness in the dog’s temperament?
“I think the biggest thing was the communication we have between our trainer and his experience to reassure us with everything. Any question we had was answered, and we were always fully confident in Knox.”
How do you see the role of your Chaperone K9 evolving as your lifestyle changes in the future?
“I think whatever happens during this time, Knox is a fully trained protection dog, but also our pet, so we treat him like family. So he’ll adapt to whatever happens in the future.”
Chaperone K9’s service doesn’t end at delivery - they provide ongoing training and aftercare. How important has that continued support been for you and your family?
“It’s very important because Chaperone K9 don’t just drop him off at your door and that’s it. Any questions or queries we have we text the group chat and someone always gets back with the best advice or answer.”
Chaperone K9 also offer luxury boarding and training while owners are away. How has that service benefitted you during time off or holidays?
“This is very important for us because when we go away on holidays in the summer, we always use Chaperone’s kennel services because we know he’s in the best care and he can always top up on his training. This also goes for our dachshund dog, who uses these services.”
The company prides itself on matching each dog’s personality to the owner’s lifestyle. How did that process work for you?
“This was an easy process because I gave all details about our lifestyle and

life and Knox was tailored trained exactly to us, and it makes everything so easy. Baraka was excellent, and anything further we need to do for Knox, he tailors it into his future training.”
Beyond home protection, do you see value in the wider safety solutions that Chaperone K9 offer for athletes and their families?
“I think the services are not just for footballers, but families or people who want a pet tailored to their life, but also a pet who can protect them and give them an extra sense of security.”
How has having a Chaperone K9 changed the way you feel about safety at home?
“Now it’s something less addressed, as Knox has been super and always made us feel safe.”
What advice would you give to other players or families considering a security dog?
“For me personally, it’s been a great decision, and I regret nothing. The dogs are also pets at the end of the day, so they’ll love attention and affection like other pet dogs.
Ready to start your Chaperone K9 journey?
Get in touch today! 0116 464 6100 info@chaperonek9.co.uk

Security dogs for me are the best source of security because of the loyalty they have and their willingness to protect you and your belongings.”
In a world where trust and safety are paramount, having a trained protection dog like Knox offers more than just security — it brings comfort, companionship, and confidence. For Jake, partnering with Chaperone K9 has been more than a practical decision — it’s been a lifestyle upgrade. And for other athletes or families considering the same path, his advice is simple: “You won’t regret it.”

ootball’s most celebrated tournament returns next summer, and this time history will be made. For the first time ever, the FIFA World Cup will unfold across three host nations: Canada, Mexico, and the United States. This marks the World Cup’s return to North American soil for the first time since the United States hosted in 1994, building on the rich legacy of previous tournaments held in Mexico in 1970 and 1986. With 48 nations set to compete, the 2026 edition promises to be the biggest and most inclusive tournament in the sport’s history.
From the electric opening match on June 11 at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City to the grand finale on July 19 at MetLife Stadium, just 5 miles west of New York City, the month-long spectacle will see the world’s greatest footballers chase glory across an expanded stage of 16 cities. The competition will span cultures, climates, and time zones, reflecting football’s true global heartbeat.
Argentina, the reigning champions, will look to defend their crown and join the ranks of footballing dynasties that have lifted back-to-back trophies.
Meanwhile, new nations will make their longawaited debuts, bringing fresh energy and untold stories to the pitch.
But for fans, 2026 is not just another World Cup. It is a chance to witness football history live. Ball members will have the rare opportunity to be part of it. My playing partner has one eye, a crooked, Roman nose and a thin lipped grin that wraps round to his ears. His accent is jagged and bold, combining the deep rolling r’s of Northern Scotland with a Nordic inflection. His small vocabulary encourages him to speak with alarming directness.
His swing is agricultural. A powerful, but ill-refined axe wielding motion that occasionally sends a bulleted low draw scuttling down the fairway. Most of the time it doesn’t.
Golf is not Sigurdur’s priority. He lists his other pursuits: fishing, puffin snatching, carpentry, handball tuition, with no discernible hierarchy. He is the embodiment of his homeland’s cultural bullet points.
Sigurdur was born on the Westman Islands, a collection of 15 volcanic rocks dotted off the south coast of Iceland. Its largest, Heimaey, the one we’re currently golfing on, is home to a population of 4,500 people who have spread themselves across a relatively tiny 17 square kilometres.
We’re here to play in the Volcano Open: the island’s annual golf tournament. No golf event in the world takes place in a setting as mind-blowing as this. Vestmannaeyjar Golf Club sits in the hollow of a monstrous amphitheatre of black rock. The cooled magma of the cliffs has a polystyrene quality that rises up to several torched meringue peaks, around 700 feet directly above our heads. At the cliff’s base, midnight blue waves crash into glistening rock formations with the repetition of a Nordic drumbeat. The subtle indentations and textures of the rock are impossibly defined under the harsh midday sun making them appear hyper-realistic.
But for all of its beauty, these fire breathing surroundings pose a very real danger. The Volcano Open was placed in the calendar to commemorate the end of a devastating volcanic eruption which almost wiped this island off the map over 50 years ago. Many of the competitors were here to witness it.
Civilisation ending natural disasters aren’t often cause for tee times, but the people here have a different outlook. Since I’ve arrived, it’s clear that the Icelandic population harbours a superhuman level of resilience. I quiz Sigurdur on the reason for marking a tragedy with a joyous event:
“This volcano is a huge part of us. Four hundred houses went under it. It was a tragedy, of course. But we live with it. We respect it. It’s a part of the risk of living here… we know bad times come to an end, and then they become good. We are celebrating because the people here cooled the lava. They started to put seawater on it and saved hundreds of houses. And we are proud of these guys. They stopped it.”

Sigurdur’s frank summary of the event captures a broader Icelandic philosophy, summarised by the phrase ‘Þetta Reddast’: it will all work out okay.
This mentality, parading as nonchalance, goes much deeper. Long harsh winters and the constant threat of natural disasters make optimism imperative for survival. It breeds a collection of people constantly focused on the light at the end of the tunnel.
For the brief summer months surrounding the Volcano Open, the people of the Westman Islands have the chance to bask in it.
Sigurdur rolls in a 15 footer for birdie at the base of the towering cliffs and gives an emphatic roar that ricochets off the basalt. His joy is pure and absolute, hours of duffed shots are instantly forgotten. As he marches to the next tee he thumps my shoulder in celebration, I tense my core in a bid to maintain my posture.

The final holes slip by but the golden hues that shine through the mounds make me long for endless rounds in the warm embrace of the amphitheatre.
Scorecards handed in, we gather in the clubhouse for a banquet to mark the close of the tournament. An endless assortment of fish dishes are piled on platters that line a table stretching across the clubhouse lounge.
It’s well past midnight now but the stubborn sun still streams through the window. As the music begins, everyone bursts into song. A lady I haven’t yet met scrambles across the room and hands me her phone. On the screen are the translated lyrics for the Icelandic ballad that fills the room:
When the field turns green and winter flees
And the sun warms the land I’ll come home and meet you And I’ll stay with you for all time
We’ll build a little home together in the countryside That smiles toward the sun

“I’ve always struggled with corporate entertainment, whether it was the planning or truly understanding the ROI. While my intentions were good, I often redirected my efforts and budget toward nurturing internal relationships that I valued most.
However, I recently had the pleasure of working with Constance and her team at Ball for organising various trips, events, unique experiences and even securing some hard-to-get tickets for our team and clients. Constance completely alleviated the time and stress of planning so I could focus on running the business, highly recommended and couldn’t go back to how we used to do it.”
“Connie is always there to assist me whenever I need it. When I’m busy, it’s easy to overlook special occasions or

important dates in my personal life, but Connie has saved me countless times with her thoughtful reminders and recommendations. It’s a Tuesday afternoon, and our Teams meeting has been on the calendar for weeks. The energy on our end is quietly buzzing, the kind you get before a conversation you know will stick. When Viddal joins the call, he carries himself with an effortless calm. There’s no performative grand entrance, no entourage in the background, just a composed presence and a sharp, focused gaze through the screen. Within minutes, it’s clear that this is someone who has mastered the art of balance: humble but commanding, measured yet ambitious.
The world might know Viddal for his boxing accolades, his coaching, or the viral podcast clips that rack up thousands of views. But what emerges in conversation is a portrait of a multihyphenate talent with a clear sense of self. “I’ve always been someone who puts my head down and works,” he says. “People might see different things at different times, music, boxing, the podcast, but for me, they all come from the same place.”

Viddal’s story starts far away from the bright lights. His early years weren’t about chasing clout or fast fame; they were about discipline. “I grew up around strong people,” he reflects. “They didn’t need to say much, they showed me through how they lived. That gave me a solid foundation.”
That foundation would become the backbone of his boxing career. From a young age, Viddal immersed himself in the sport, absorbing its rhythm and rules like a second language. Over time, he carved a reputation not just as a skilled fighter, but as someone who embodies what boxing demands:
consistency, respect, and quiet strength.
“Boxing teaches you patience and humility,” he explains. “You can’t fake discipline. You can’t cheat time in the gym. That’s what I love about it, everything shows in the ring.”
His rise was never built on overnight hype. Instead, it was a steady climb: stacking skills, collecting lessons, staying locked in even when the world wasn’t watching. It’s this mindset that makes him stand out in a landscape where many chase headlines; Viddal chases excellence.

AGENCY: @APR_ARTISTAGENCY @GTMGLTD WORDS: SESSA GHAZALA
Beyond the gloves and gym floors, there’s another pulse that drives him: music. “Music is a passion project as I’ve always been around music,” he says, leaning back slightly as he talks about it. It’s not a side hustle; it’s another language he’s fluent in.
Over the years, Viddal has released full-length projects and shorter EPs, carving out a sonic space that mirrors his personality: grounded, honest,
and layered. “I’ve released full length projects and shorter EPs which has amassed over 2 million streams,” he notes, not as a brag but as a quiet fact.
In his world, music isn’t about chasing chart positions. It’s about expression, about connecting with people on a different frequency. “When I’m making music, it’s like I’m opening another part of myself,” he says. “Boxing is
physical, it’s about control and power. Music is emotional, it’s where I let go a bit.”
The duality is striking. One minute, he’s in the gym sharpening his footwork; the next, he’s in the studio layering melodies. It’s this ability to move fluidly between worlds that makes him fascinating, not as a gimmick, but as someone genuinely built to create.

Ask Viddal what project has surprised him the most, and he doesn’t hesitate: the RIL & WILLS Podcast. “RIL & WILLS podcast has the most cult following out of everything I do,” he says with a grin. “It’s a combat sports podcast with my good friend Leon Wills (who also helps me train KSI).”
The podcast has grown organically, powered by honest conversation and genuine chemistry. “We didn’t sit down and say, ‘let’s build a massive platform,’” he explains. “We just wanted to talk our talk, no filters, no fake hype.”
The results speak for themselves: 70,000 YouTube subscribers and a base of consistent, returning viewers who tune in week after week. The appeal is simple but powerful: two friends who live and breathe combat sports, pulling listeners into their world like you’re sitting ringside with them.
“The people who watch us, they really get it,” Viddal says. “They know we’re not performing. We’re just being ourselves, and I think that’s why it connects.”
“THE PEOPLE WHO WATCH US, THEY REALLY GET IT.”

In an era where being a “multihyphenate” can often feel like a marketing strategy, Viddal lives it without trying to brand it. He’s not switching lanes to stay relevant; he’s moving through the spaces that already belong to him. Boxing isn’t a career move; it’s his foundation. Music isn’t a rebrand; it’s a mission. Podcasting isn’t a stunt; it’s community.
“Everything I do is an extension of me,” he says. “I don’t feel like I need to pick one thing and stick with it forever. If I’ve got the talent and the discipline, why not?”
That balance is rare. Many who diversify end up stretched thin, losing their identity in the process. But Viddal approaches each field with the same seriousness, whether it’s sharpening his jab, refining a chorus, or dissecting a fight on-air. It’s all part of the same engine.

What stands out most is his energy. Viddal doesn’t move like someone desperate to prove himself; he moves like someone who already knows who he is. His humility isn’t rehearsed; it’s deeply ingrained. He celebrates wins but doesn’t linger on them. He carries himself with the kind of quiet confidence that doesn’t need to shout.
“People sometimes expect me to come with this loud, over-the-top energy because of everything I’m involved in,” he laughs. “But that’s not me. I’m just focused on the work. The rest follows.”
As our conversation winds down, it’s clear this is someone playing the long game. There’s no rush to be everywhere all at once, no anxiety about being misunderstood. Instead, there’s a sense of purpose, like he’s carefully building something that will last whether it’s in the ring, the studio, or on air.
He laughs when asked how he’d describe himself. “I’m probably the most unserious serious person you’ll ever meet,” he says. And honestly, after speaking with him, it’s hard to disagree. Viddal is proof that you can be laser-focused and light-hearted, ambitious and grounded all at once.

MISSION SITES: LINCOLN • WALES • LANCASHIRE — AND BEYOND

Step into an elite world of precision, secrecy and cinematic suspense. The Newberry Experience is the UK’s most exclusive long-range shooting adventure — designed for people who’ve lived in the spotlight and now crave something far more clandestine. From the moment you arrive, it feels like you’ve walked onto the set of a high-stakes espionage thriller — Bond, Bourne, SAS, Ethan Hunt — only this time you’re the protagonist.
Each site is chosen for absolute privacy, dramatic terrain and operational flexibility: sweeping hills, hidden enclaves and targets placed with surgical accuracy at ranges that stretch to a mile.
Tucked into the northern countryside, our Lancashire HQ delivers an authentic sniper experience built for elite operators. Engage steel targets at extreme distance using some of the world’s most advanced long-range systems, guided every step of the way by ex-military marksman and five-time British champion Ady Newberry.
Prepare for precision, privacy and pulse-racing theatre - The Newberry Experience.
—
This is where legends are forged. At our Lincoln site you’ll experience the raw theatre of the .50 BMG — a legendary, jaw-dropping rifle renowned for its reach and power. Immensely loud, deeply visceral and utterly unforgettable, it delivers a sensory, cinematic moment: the steadying of breath, the thunder of the shot, and the satisfying impact of steel at extreme range. For anyone seeking an adrenaline-soaked masterclass in long-range force, Lincoln is the definitive stop.

YOUR ARSENAL — WEAPONS YOU’LL HAVE THE CHANCE TO EXPERIENCE FIRST-HAND:
• .22 LR – Silent but precise, ideal for mastering foundational skills.
• 5.56 / .223 AR-15 – Light, fast, and tactical — used by elite forces worldwide.
• .308 AX Sniper Rifle – Exceptional long-range accuracy, trusted by professionals.
• .338 AXMC – A true powerhouse for extreme-distance engagements.

Beyond the thrill, precision, and cinematic allure, The Newberry Experience offers something far more profound — a complete mental reset.
In a world of constant emails, backto-back meetings, and unrelenting demands, clarity has become a luxury. But the moment you settle behind the rifle scope, the noise fades. The landscape expands. Your breathing steadies. And suddenly, everything narrows to a single point of focus.
Psychologists call it the flow state — that rare zone where mind and body align in perfect harmony.
Your heart rate slows, your thoughts quieten, and your senses sharpen to an almost meditative precision. Then comes the release — the shot breaks, the target falls, and you feel an immediate surge of accomplishment.
It’s the same state elite performers reach when the stakes are sky-high — a CEO sealing a billion-pound deal, a striker facing a World Cup penalty, an artist creating their masterpiece.
This isn’t just a shooting experience. It’s a training ground for composure, clarity, and control — a reset you can summon whenever the pressure builds and performance truly matters.

In the upper tiers of professional football, the margins between winning and losing are measured in milliseconds, and the stakes are constantly rising. Athletes rely on rigorous training, expert coaching, and strategic preparation on the pitch. But what about off the pitch?
As public interest in footballers’ lives grows, so does their risk exposure. In recent years, an increasing number of high-profile players across the UK and Europe have found themselves the targets of meticulously planned burglaries and robberies. These are not crimes of chance. They are the work of organised, informed individuals or groups who understand precisely when and how to strike. Often, the player is away on match duty, or the property is left temporarily vacant. The common thread is predictability.

Recognising this shift, an elite group of players and clubs are taking their personal security as seriously as their careers and seeking the advice and support of Harrier Global Ltd. Harrier Global operate across the UK and, where required, internationally and has deep roots in the British police service. Harrier’s team of experts bring decades of front-line experience. Still, their value goes far beyond credentials—they offer foresight, discretion, and customised protection strategies tailored to the unique lifestyles of professional athletes.
“High performance demands high protection,” says a senior advisor at Harrier. “Our role is to assess not just the client’s physical space, but their entire lifestyle. That includes travel routines, digital exposure, domestic arrangements, and architectural considerations. We design security that fits seamlessly into their lives— because the best protection is the kind you barely notice.”
Harrier Global’s approach is grounded in a principle they call layered security. While the specific mechanisms are never publicly detailed—intentionally so—the concept revolves around creating multiple, overlapping lines of defence. This includes physical, technical, and procedural elements designed to detect, delay, and deter threats before they materialise.
Crucially, Harrier does not offer a one-size-fits-all model. Instead, every engagement begins with a detailed threat assessment, considering lifestyle, public profile, family dynamics, and existing vulnerabilities. From there, bespoke strategies are developed quietly and confidentially.
Footballers, more than most, live highly scheduled lives. Fixtures, training, media obligations, and holidays often become predictable to the point of routine.

And in a digital age where location tags, transfer rumours, and even car purchases are broadcast within minutes, this predictability becomes a liability. Criminals don’t need to work hard to gather intelligence—it’s often handed to them in real-time.
That’s why Harrier’s work often begins not with locks or alarms, but with information. Educating clients and their inner circles on digital hygiene, social media boundaries, and operational security is often the first and most critical step.
But this is not about fear—it’s about control. The aim is not to isolate but to insulate. Harrier ensures players can live fully and freely without sacrificing their peace of mind.

Whether consulting on the layout of a new home, advising on secure travel, or coordinating with private staff and club security, the company’s remit is as broad as it is discreet.
Privacy, trust, and reliability are the core pillars of Harrier Global’s service. In a sector where word of mouth is everything, the firm has rapidly built a reputation among elite athletes, managers, and private client advisors as the gold standard in personal security consulting.
In football, precision is everything. The same should apply to your safety.
There is a stillness that lives just before the whistle blows, a split second where the noise fades and everything sharpens. For Noni Madueke, that silence is sacred. It is where faith meets focus, where every late-night session and quiet prayer fold into purpose. Off the pitch, he is thoughtful, measured and self-aware.
On it, he moves by instinct, rhythm and deep faith. This is the space he lives in, between the chaos of competition and the calm of conviction, building a life that is about more than football, but made possible because of it.
To understand the player, you have to start with the boy who fell in love with the game long before the lights, the noise or the pressure ever arrived.

I’ve Been Kicking a Football Around Since I Could Barely Tie My Own Laces.
Growing up, it was not just something I did; it was who I was. Football was not a hobby; it was the rhythm of my life. I grew up with my parents, my older brother and my little sister. It was a simple, happy childhood filled with school, family and football. That was all I needed, really.
My earliest memories are of me running around in the garden, the ball glued to my feet, pretending to score the winning goal at Wembley. I think from about five or six, I already knew this was what I wanted to do. Not just dreamed of, but knew. It was a healthy kind of delusion, the sort you need when you are young, before the world starts telling you what is realistic and what is not.
By the time I was fifteen or sixteen, that dream started to feel real. It was not just something I hoped for anymore; it was something I could almost touch. That was when I really believed I would make it. Looking back now, that version of me would probably laugh and say, “See? I told you.”

“By fifteen or sixteen, that dream started to feel real. It wasn’t just a hope anymore; it was something I could almost touch.”

Everyone has someone who shapes them. On the pitch, for me, that was Cristiano Ronaldo. I used to watch him constantly, his movement, his work rate, his confidence. It was not just about goals or skills; it was his mentality. You could see how badly he wanted to be great and how much he demanded from himself. That energy stuck with me.
Off the pitch, my biggest influence has always been my dad. He is the kind of man who does not talk too much about life lessons; he just shows them. He is a hard worker and a proper stand-up guy. If he says

something, he means it. The biggest thing he taught me was that kindness costs nothing. That has stayed with me forever.
When people meet me, I want them to walk away thinking, “Yes, he is a cool guy.” Not in a flashy or arrogant way, just genuine. I know a lot more people know me now, but I still want to treat everyone the same way I would have before all this started.
If you asked my friends to describe me, they would probably say I am fun, a bit crazy sometimes, but in a good way. I am always smiling, always up for a laugh. I love being around people who make me feel like myself. Whether it is family or friends, that is my safe space.
“The biggest thing my dad taught me was that kindness costs nothing.”
When the opportunity came to join Arsenal, the decision was instant. I remember speaking to Mikel and within five minutes I knew it was the right move. There was something about the way he spoke, the energy, the vision; it just clicked. Sometimes you do not need to overthink things. You just know.
One of my proudest moments will always be my England debut. Coming on, assisting Harry Kane in what I think was one of his milestone games, that is something I will never forget. It felt like a full-circle moment. Everything you dream about as a kid happening right there in real time. I still get goosebumps thinking about it.
My goals now are simple: grow as a person, grow as a player, win trophies with Arsenal and England, and keep becoming the best version of myself on and off the pitch.

“My goals are simple: grow as a person, grow as a player, and win trophies with Arsenal and England.”
“People love to say they don’t feel pressure, but honestly, that’s not true. You feel it, you just get better at handling it.”
People love to say, “I do not really feel pressure,” but honestly that is not true. You feel it; you just get better at handling it. Every game, every mistake, every headline teaches you something new.
I would say it is a work in progress. The more experiences you go through, the more you learn to stay balanced. Sometimes you have to remind yourself that football is just part of life; it is not all of it. You learn how to handle yourself both on and off the pitch, and that comes with maturity.
There is a lot of noise in football, social media, opinions, people you do not even know saying things about you. You cannot control that. What you can control is your mindset. For me, my faith helps massively. I believe God has a plan. If something is tough, I tell myself it is part of the journey. He does not give you anything you cannot handle.
So when I am injured or things are not going my way, I try to flip the perspective. Maybe this is happening to teach me something. Maybe it is building resilience. That is how I stay grounded, or at least try to.

I left the country when I was sixteen to play football abroad. My dad had to stay behind, and we’re a really close family, so it was a big deal for me to move away. My parents did everything to support me, and they agreed that my mum and my sister would come to stay with me for a little while. My dad would, of course, visit and keep everything perfect at home, but eventually she had to go back. I was basically living alone from eighteen. It sounds simple now, but at that age it’s a big thing. You’re learning how to cook, clean, live by yourself and, on top of that, perform at the highest level.
It was hard, no doubt. There were nights when I’d sit in my flat, eat whatever I’d managed to cook (usually pasta, not great) and think, “What am I even doing?” But I never saw it as a sacrifice. I saw it as the price of chasing something bigger. I knew what I wanted, and I was willing to do whatever it took.
Those years taught me independence. They made me mature faster. It’s why I am who I am today, grounded but hungry. Thanks to my parents for what they’ve taught me about being kind, patient and hard-working, and to the experiences that shaped me along the way.

After a match, I have a little ritual. Straight after the game, I’ll take an ice bath at the stadium, head home, eat something good and then sometimes it’s more difficult to sleep because of the adrenaline.
So I’ll put on a film and stay up for a while. It’s just part of the process now. I’m a big film guy, mostly Marvel stuff. Black Panther and Endgame are top tier for me.
People assume I’m into video games, but I’m really not. I’d rather watch films or go out for dinner. I like calm. On my days off, I either fully rest and
get all my recovery in if that’s what I need that week.
Sometimes I’ll just relax at home with family, keep it quiet and give my body a proper break. But if it has not been a heavy strain week, I might let myself wake up later, grab brunch around half past twelve, maybe go shopping in London with friends or family, have dinner somewhere nice and be home by ten. That’s a perfect day for me to just switch off from football and reset.
Oh, and bowling. I love bowling. I am actually really good. My high score is 171. I will brag about that one forever.

Off the pitch, fashion is a big part of who I am. I like to look good and dress well. It is not about being flashy; it is just another way to express yourself. I enjoy doing shoots sometimes, getting in front of the camera, trying new things, like today with Ball.
It is like football in a way: creative, detailed, personal. Everyone has their own style. Mine is clean but confident.
But no matter what I am doing, fashion, football or just life, I try to stay real. I do not see myself as different from anyone else. Yes, people might recognise me now, but that does not mean I change how I treat people. I like to keep things normal. Dinner with friends, cinema nights, chilling with family, those are the things that keep me grounded.
If there is one thing that defines how I work, it is this: leave no stone unturned.
I do not ever want to look back and think I could have done more. So I focus on every little detail: training, recovery, nutrition, game analysis. I watch every game back to see what I can improve.
I have got a trainer who helps me with extra sessions. I use ice baths and hyperbaric chambers. Anything that helps me perform at my best, I am on it.
Even during the off-season, I struggle to switch off. This summer, after signing for Arsenal, I was given some time off because I had been in the US for the Club World Cup. I was on holiday, relaxing, when I saw the team training hard in Singapore. I thought, “Nah, I cannot be here.” I cut the holiday short, went straight back to the training ground and got ahead by putting the work in before they returned. That is just how my brain works. I always feel like I need to be doing something, improving, getting sharper. I want to be better all the time.
Every day, I make sure to pray. That is my non-negotiable. It keeps me balanced, grateful and focused on what really matters.

“If I could speak to my younger self, I’d tell him, ‘You were right to believe.’”
When I think about the future, I see happiness, peace and adventure. Of course, I want to win trophies, that is the goal. But beyond football, I want to live a full life. One that is good in every sense of the word.
I do not really know what my legacy will be yet. It feels too soon for that. I am just getting started. But I do know I want people to remember me as more than a player, as someone who worked hard, stayed true and made people smile.
If I could speak to my younger self, I would tell him, “You were right. You were right to believe, right to dream, right to keep going even when it did not make sense.” Because everything you imagined, it is happening now.
I think sometimes people forget that even when you have made it, you are still learning. I am still figuring it all
out, how to balance everything, how to grow without losing myself.
But I am enjoying it. Every challenge, every win, every quiet moment after a game when it is just me, a film and a plate of food, I am grateful for all of it.
The journey is not about being perfect. It is about being consistent, being thankful and being yourself.
And that is exactly what I plan to keep doing, one match, one prayer, one step at a time.
The world sees the highlights, the goals, the celebrations, the noise. What it does not see are the late nights, the recovery, the quiet moments of faith.
Noni Madueke is not here to prove a point. He is here to become everything he is meant to be.

Luxury travel is evolving. Once defined by indulgence: champagne breakfasts, all-night soirees and languid afternoons in the sun, modern superyacht and villa experiences now prioritise balance, movement and holistic wellbeing. At The Luxury Wellness Group, we’ve observed a clear shift: holidays are no longer just an escape from daily life, but an opportunity to optimise vitality, mindfulness and rejuvenation — even whilst exploring remote destinations aboard yachts or at private villas.
Meanwhile, superyachts are responding. Today’s new-build vessels often feature not just a treadmill but fully equipped spaces for strength training, reformer Pilates and even dedicated yoga decks overlooking the water. Many also incorporate beach clubs with steam rooms, red-light therapy and facilities for Hydrafacial treatments — subsequently, wellness has become one of the most coveted amenities at sea. Yet, not every yacht or villa has a permanent gym, and space is always at a premium. The solution lies in flexible, bespoke fitness space design and mobile setups that transform available square footage into fully functional wellness zones.
Our approach combines expert gym design with curated rental solutions, ensuring every guest — whether an owner or charterer — can enjoy a personalised fitness experience. Sleek, foldaway reformers, adjustable dumbbells, compact resistance systems, and self-propelled treadmills (no power outlet required) can be installed temporarily, turning a sun deck into a sunrise Pilates studio over the Amalfi Coast or a

high-intensity cardio zone overlooking the turquoise waters of Formentera. For charter clients, our rental setups deliver luxury fitness on demand, without the need for permanent installations, offering unparalleled convenience and flexibility.
With functionality being essential for successful execution, design still remains paramount. We ensure modern yacht and villa fitness setups are minimal, modular, and elegant, blending effortlessly with interiors. We work closely with suppliers and interior designers to ensure every installation enhances the surrounding aesthetic while
providing complete functionality. The future of luxury travel is clear: it is defined not just by destination, but by how guests feel along the journey. With tailored gym design and on-demand fitness rentals, every charter or villa stay can combine adventure, opulence and wellbeing — transforming every voyage into a truly rejuvenating, personalised experience.
Experience the ultimate in bespoke wellness at sea or at your villa — contact The Luxury Wellness Group today to design your space or arrange a rental equipment setup for your next trip.

It’s a rare balance of raw landscape and refined design, offering golfers a truly unforgettable experience in a wildlife-rich setting.

At the exclusive unveiling of Udinese Calcio’s third kit, designed by Domenico Orefice in

Udinese is a club with deep history and tradition. How does this collaboration reflect the evolution of the club’s identity?
“We are a club that has historically made innovation and scouting its strengths, both on and off the pitch. I would therefore say that this type of collaboration with the Camera della Moda fits perfectly into our DNA and our values. We have discovered and continue to discover young football talents who become champions with us, so being able to help highlight young designers is in complete continuity with what we do on the pitch. I would say it is also a fundamental step in consolidating the Udinese brand at a time when the football-fashion combination has become central.”
Our direction must always be this: to create a brand with a strong identity, yet with a strong international vocation.
What does launching the new third kit at Milan Fashion Week say about the club’s ambition and direction?
“It is a clear signal of the status we have achieved. As you’ll see on the jersey, we feel like privileged ambassadors for our region, and every day, in sporting and commercial settings, and even by organising these major events, we aim to bring Udinese to the highest levels worldwide. Our direction must always be this: to create a brand with a strong identity, yet with a strong international vocation.”
How important is it for you personally to see Udinese represented on a stage as big as Milan Fashion Week?
“It’s a great satisfaction because we’ve done so for the third consecutive year and will continue to do so thanks to our partnership with the Camera della Moda Fashion Trust. Our brand has become increasingly international in recent years, and initiatives like this only enhance our vision, not only in sporting terms but also in commercial terms.”

What excites you most about this moment—the kit itself, the exposure, or the cultural crossover?
“I’d say all three. The kit is truly stunning and has a beautiful storytelling that evokes sustainability, a founding value of Udinese, as well as its roots in our region. I would therefore say that this presentation allows us to tell a beautiful story of talent and sustainability that ties us to the Chamber of Fashion but also to Macron, which is always sensitive to these issues and is the ideal partner with which to promote these innovative ideas.”
How do you see this kit setting the tone for the club’s season both on and off the pitch?
“First of all, we hope this beautiful and successful initiative will lead to positive results on the pitch. We’ll be using it on Sunday, and we can’t wait to see it on the pitch and also to show it to the whole world on TV. Off the pitch, this is an important moment for us; clubs are now media companies, and so are we, and this type of activity has a significant global impact.”

How is this connection between the club and sustainability reflected in the new kit?
“Sustainability is always central to everything we do. Especially when it comes to jerseys, this third kit is also made from eco-sustainable fabric by Macron. It’s been a must-have on all our kits since 2020, when we were the first Macron club in the world to use a special fabric made from recycled PET plastic bottles. We’re proud of this shared sensitivity with Macron and also to have inspired this theme, given that now all Macron-branded clubs around the world (over 200) use shirts made from this fabric.”

As the event came to a close it was clear this was more than a kit launch – it was a statement.
Udinese has long been known for doing things differently, and unveiling their third kit at Milan Fashion Week for the second year reaffirmed that boldness.
Blending sustainability with symbolism and design with identity, this project represents a new chapter for the club – one where fashion, culture, and football exist on the same stage. For Orefice, Pozzo, and the entire Udinese family, it’s proof that authenticity and ambition can share the same fabric.
All of us at team Ball are looking forward to seeing how the team get on in the 25–26 season.

With Algarve inundated by expats, and more recently is real Portugal at its finest and is only recently being discovered by both the international investor and as a home for those in the know. The amenable 365-day-a-year climate, safe environment for families and superb international links all add up to it being a wonderful place to live or have a vacation home or investment property.
The location is perfect, 50 minutes from Lisbon airport and Lisbon’s Michelin-starred restaurants, and 2 hours from Porto and its wine caves.
It is a golfer’s paradise, with stunning Championship golf courses including Praia D’El Rey, West Cliffs and Royal Obidos and others in close proximity. The area is also the surfers’ hub, with the World Surf League Tour Wave at Supertubos to the world famous Nazare and its 50m, the biggest in the world, surfing waves. A new artificial Surf Centre and hotel complex is currently being built, the first one in Portugal with a total of over Eur30 million being invested. This is due to open in 2026 and should only strengthen the appeal of this area to the enthusiasts of an active lifestyle and attract further inward investment.
History and culture thrive here too. Explore the walled medieval town of Óbidos, wander the lively fishing port of Peniche, attend many seasonal ‘festas’ and cultural events, including an opera festival with performances taking place at various historic venues.

Then there are the beaches.
Hundreds of them. Wide, sandy, and blissfully uncrowded. Inland, you’ll find traditional Portuguese towns, rolling landscapes, and scenery that feels untouched. This is where you can find many quintas - the local wine makers.
With Mediterranean summer temperatures now exceeding 40 degrees, the Atlantic climate of the Silver Coast means its attractiveness as a premium destination will only grow.
Authentic local cuisine and restaurants that challenge Europe’s best, and all at Portuguese local prices. From locally caught fresh seafood to hearty regional specialties.
The Silver Coast is not just a destination. It’s a lifestyle, a community, and a rare opportunity to experience traditional Portuguese culture and friendliness at its best. The expat community is diverse, with residents from across Europe and the Americas, creating a rich and vibrant international atmosphere.
Investment potential remains compelling, too. Land prices are still highly attractive compared to other coastal destinations in Europe and other areas of Portugal. Craftsmen still exist in Portugal, and it’s a valued profession supplying to the world’s top properties and businesses. Before ordering, you can visit the factory where your villa’s fittings will be made to your specification and design.

This villa exemplifies the balance between discretion and openness. From the street, a minimalist façade presents a low profile, but beyond this modest frontage, the home unfolds dramatically into the landscape with glass walls, an infinity-edge pool, and layered terraces framing panoramic hilltop views.
The residence, nestled in the Portuguese countryside, is defined by clean, rectilinear lines softened with natural stone and timber. Expansive glazing fills the home with light and sweeping views, dissolving the boundary between inside and out. This contemporary villa exemplifies a refined balance between discretion and openness.
Sustainability is at the heart of its design, from passive solar principles such as cantilevered terraces and sliding timber screens for shade to renewable energy systems including photovoltaic panels and air-source heat pumps.
The spirit of the place, the relaxed lifestyle, nature and the investment potential, together with a clear planning system, make it a perfect place to invest in property or build your dream home.
At Sketch Design, we consider ourselves fortunate to create homes in such an exceptional setting, where the beauty of the landscape inspires every design. Our villas are crafted for modern, relaxed living, with spaces that flow seamlessly between indoors and outdoors so that nature becomes part of daily life.
Whether you’re drawn to a resortstyle coastal retreat or a peaceful inland hideaway, each home offers privacy and tranquility while keeping cultural attractions and modern amenities close at hand.

Every design shares the same ambition: to create homes that feel effortless—where contemporary architecture and the natural setting exist in perfect harmony.

LEYLA HAMED
At just 26, Oday Dabbagh has already made history with Aberdeen, lifting the Scottish Cup and leaving his mark across Europe and Asia. Now, fresh off a major signing with Zamalek SC — one of Africa’s most storied clubs — his journey is entering a new chapter. Born in Jerusalem and shaped by the rhythm of street football, his journey has always been bigger than the pitch — and it’s far from over.
There’s a quiet grace in how he moves, clarity in how he plays, and something unmistakably personal in every celebration. From the streets of Al-Quds to stadiums across continents, Dabbagh represents more than skill: he carries a cause, a culture, and the hopes of a generation.
With every goal, with every jersey he wears, he delivers a message: that where you come from matters and so does what you stand for. For Oday, football isn’t just about winning. It’s about showing up, staying grounded, and keeping the door open for those who come next.

You were born in Jerusalem and represent Palestine. What does that identity mean to you, both on and off the pitch?
“Jerusalem isn’t a normal hometown — you feel that from day one. Growing up there gave me purpose. I’m not just playing for myself; I’m playing for people, for a story that’s bigger than football.”
“Being Palestinian shapes everything — the way I move, the way I think, the way I carry myself. I learned football on the streets of Jerusalem, but I also learned resilience.”
“More than anything, I just hope I’m making people back home proud. I want kids from those same streets to know they belong too.”
What’s your earliest football memory? What made you fall in love with the game?
“Playing in the streets with my friends — no real goals, no proper ball, just joy. We’d play until it got dark, shouting and celebrating every goal (which was usually mine, of course).” [laughs]
“That feeling never left. Even now, when I score, I still feel like that same kid again.”
Who inspired you growing up — any Palestinian players or global icons?
“There weren’t many Palestinian players at the top when I was growing up, and that’s part of the mission now — to change that.”
“I loved watching Robin van Persie. His movement, his finishing, the way he saw space. And I’ve always followed Real Madrid. That hasn’t changed.”
Do you carry anything with you that reminds you of home?
“Not something physical, but I carry their support everywhere I go. That belief from my family, from the people back home… it’s more powerful than anything I could hold in my hand.”
How do you stay connected to your culture when you’re far from home?
“Through the little things. Prayer. Family calls. Just remembering who I am and why I’m doing this.”
“I miss the food, the sound of home, my language… but honestly, football is the strongest connection. Representing Palestine isn’t just about sport, it’s about identity.”
What do you miss most when you’re away from Palestine?
“My mom’s cooking, for sure. Her kabsa? That’s elite. [laughs] but more than food — I miss the warmth. The way people laugh, tell stories, and sit around a table together. That feeling stays with you.
What’s the most Palestinian thing about you — no matter where you are in the world?
“I don’t give up. That’s who we are.”

How did your journey into professional football begin? What were the major turning points?
“It started in the streets, but the real kick-off came when I made my pro debut at 16 with Hilal Al-Quds. By 19, I was the league’s top scorer and got my first national team call-up. Big moment.”
“From there, things moved quickly — Kuwait, where I won the league and golden boot, then Portugal, Belgium, and then Aberdeen in Scotland. Every move has helped me grow — as a player, and as a person. And I’m still going.”
You’ve played in different countries — what’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
“Adapt. Every new country means a new culture, a new system, new language. You have to adjust quickly or you get left behind. But if you stay open, you grow with every experience.”
What’s been your proudest moment so far?
“Wearing the Palestine shirt. I actually got rejected at U20 level — they told me I wasn’t ready. I kept pushing, made the senior team, and spent years coming off the bench, still being told I was too young.”
“So yeah, my proudest moment is simply that I never gave up. I stayed patient. I earned it.”
When you need to focus and block everything else out — what helps you lock in?
“Prayer — no doubt. This has never just been about football. It’s bigger than me. And that mindset keeps me grounded when I need to perform.”
Your career hasn’t been easy. What’s one of the biggest challenges you’ve faced?
“Being away from my family. I left home young, and every move meant starting over — new teammates, new coaches, new everything.”
“But it taught me how to adapt and how to appreciate my roots even more.”
Did you ever think about a Plan B if football didn’t work out?
“Never. I couldn’t. I knew what I wanted, and I had to go all in. I still feel that way today.”
“Wearing the shirt of your people, knowing what it represents… it’s powerful.”
Has there been a coach or teammate who really shaped your journey?
“Yeah, a lot of coaches have helped me grow, but one that really stands out is Ayman Sandouqa.”
“It wasn’t just about one piece of advice or a single moment — it was everything. He shaped me as a player, not just in training, but mentally too. He was a mentor to me, and a big part of the player I am today comes from what I learned from him back then.”

Do you remember the first time you wore the Palestine shirt? What went through your head?
“Pride. Nothing else compares to that feeling.”
“Wearing the shirt of your people, knowing what it represents… it’s powerful.”
Representing Palestine carries so much weight — how do you prepare mentally for those games?
“Routine is everything — staying sharp, focused, grounded. Mental strength becomes even more important when you carry more than just a badge.”
“For me, prayer is what brings it all together. That’s how I find calm before I step onto the pitch.”
Do you feel a different kind of connection with fans when you wear the national shirt?
“For sure. It’s not just football when you play for Palestine — it’s unity.”
“You feel the whole country behind you. I love that.”
Has any country or fanbase surprised you with how they welcomed you as a Palestinian player?
“Scotland, for sure. We won the Scottish Cup with Aberdeen — against Celtic — and even then, some Celtic fans were messaging me with support. I was like, wait… really?” [laughs]
“That kind of love, even after a final? It shows how football can go beyond the rivalry.”
“And in Oman, their fans made a huge full tifo with the Palestinian flag — from rival fans, too. That one really hit me.”
What does it feel like to score for Palestine? And is there one goal you’ll never forget?
“Scoring for Palestine? It’s hard to describe — it just hits different. Every goal in the World Cup qualifiers felt special. We were making history, step by step.”
“But the one I think about the most… is actually the one I didn’t score. The chance against Oman that could’ve sent us through. I still replay it in my head sometimes.”
“But hey — the journey’s just getting started. Inshallah, more goals — and bigger moments — are coming.”

from and bring some light to my people.”
Is there a Qur’an recitation or verse that helps you feel grounded — especially during tough times or big matches?
“For me, Islam isn’t just something I turn to in difficult moments — it’s part of who I am. It’s a way of life. But if there’s one verse that really hits close right now, it’s: “Allah does not burden a soul more than it can bear.”
“I hold onto that a lot. It reminds me to give everything I have — and trust that what’s meant for me will come.”
What does a typical day off look like for you? Any rituals to reset?
“Honestly, just the simple things. Coffee, catching up with my family, some PlayStation with the guys — I really enjoy that. Nothing fancy, but it makes me happy.”
“I try to slow things down a bit, enjoy the day, and get a good night’s sleep. That’s more than enough for me.”
After an intense training, what’s your go-to recovery routine?
“Hydration first. Then an ice bath, maybe a sauna. Sometimes a massage — even though I don’t really like them!” [laughs]
“And again… sleep. It resets everything.”
Is there a side of you that fans don’t usually get to see? Something unexpected?
“People think I’m super serious — but I’m really not.”
“I take football seriously, yes. But off the pitch? I’m chilled, lighthearted, and always trying to keep the energy positive.”
What are three words that describe you best off the pitch? And do your people agree?
“Funny. Positive. A good person. And yeah — that’s what my close circle would say too. I’m proud of that.”

Who’s someone that always brings you back to earth?
“Myself first. But also my family and close friends. They keep me real.”
What’s something you’ve always wanted to try, but haven’t yet?
“Honestly? I feel like I’ve tried everything already.” [laughs]
Do you watch any sports in your free time, outside of football?
“I’m into tennis and basketball. I really enjoy watching both — seeing how
other athletes compete, how they move… it’s inspiring in its own way.”
Are you into sports documentaries at all?
“Yeah, I watch a lot of them. The Dream Team — the one about the US basketball team in ’92 — was great. Court of Gold, the one on athletes at the Tokyo Olympics, as well.. The Man City treble doc was amazing too. I’ve just started the one on Alcaraz. I enjoy seeing what goes on behind the scenes — how they train, how they think, how they deal with pressure.”

Has living abroad changed your sense of style?
“Definitely. I think my style started evolving without me even noticing.”
“Every time I moved, I picked up something new. In Belgium, especially — man, the guys here really know how to dress. [laughs] My teammates always looked sharp, and that made me start paying more attention to what I wear.”
“Now I enjoy it. I see it as another way to express myself.”
When you’re off the pitch, what kind of style makes you feel most like yourself?
“I’m definitely more on the sporty side — comfort first, especially when your day is mostly training and home.
[laughs] I’m a very diligent guy, you know… training, home, repeat.”
“But I’ve started to enjoy fashion more lately. I like exploring different styles and discovering independent brands — things that aren’t so mainstream, that have more personality. I’ve learned to read the vibe and adapt. So yeah, I’ll take a tracksuit for the daily grind… but I’ll clean up when I need to!”
Football takes you to a lot of places, but when you travel for yourself, what kind of trip do you crave?
“Calm places with good energy — where you can just enjoy the moment and disconnect. Portugal really stayed with me. I spent a lot of time there and I felt a connection.”
“And Spain’s still on my list. I’ve tried to go a few times, but something always
came up. [laughs] Mallorca is a must. That Mediterranean vibe reminds me of home.”
What kind of music do you listen to — whether to get in the zone or to unwind?
“I’m honestly the most flexible guy ever, even when it comes to music! Every country I’ve lived in has changed my playlist a bit. These days in Belgium, it’s more French rap. In Scotland, I even gave techno a try.” [laughs]
“I like discovering what the people around me are into. It helps me feel part of the environment. And of course, I still go back to Arabic music — even the emotional stuff sometimes. But at the core, I’m an R&B guy. 50 Cent, Akon, Drake… that era never gets old for me.”
What are your personal and professional goals for the next few years?
“To keep growing, of course — to keep challenging myself on the pitch. But honestly, it’s deeper than that. I want to keep using football as a way to give back.”
“Even now, I feel that responsibility. I play for more than myself — I play for people who don’t get this chance. One day, I want to create something real for the next generation. Something lasting.”
If you could play in any league or for any club, where would it be — and why?
“The Premier League has always been a dream. The energy, the pressure, the passion — it’s next level. But I’ve also always been drawn to Spain. The culture, the fans, the football… it just speaks to me.”
“And of course, the Bernabéu. That place has an aura — it’s every kid’s dream.”
What legacy do you hope to leave for the next generation of Palestinian footballers?
“That a kid from Jerusalem, from Palestine, can make it. When I was growing up, I didn’t have that example — no one to point at and say, “he did it, so maybe I can too.”
“Now, I want to be that for someone else. I want to leave a trail they can follow. Not because it was easy, but because I kept going.”
If you could speak to those kids directly, what would you tell them?
“That it’s possible. That they matter. That their dreams matter.”
“And that it won’t be easy — but we’re built for this. Work hard, stay grounded, and when you get the chance, open the door for the one behind you.”
Do you ever see yourself going back to help football in Palestine — as a coach or mentor?
“Absolutely. That’s always been the plan. I don’t want to just disappear when I stop playing. I want to give back, to teach, to share what I’ve learned.”
“Maybe I’ll be a physical coach — I don’t know if I’m serious enough to manage a whole team yet! [laughs], but I know I’ll be there. In some way.”

One day, when people talk about Oday Dabbagh, what do you hope they remember?
“That I gave everything. That I stayed true.
“And that I never forgot where I came from — or who I was playing for.”
Oday Dabbagh was a constant in Palestine’s historic World Cup qualifying campaign — their first time reaching the third round. Leading the line, he offered more than goals. His movement, hold-up play, and reading of the game gave the team structure and presence in tight, often hostile matches.
Throughout the campaign, Palestine didn’t play a single game at home. Every point they earned came far from their own soil, without their own fans. That context made every performance feel heavier — and every result, bigger. They didn’t make it to the World Cup. But they pushed boundaries, earned respect, and proved they belonged on that stage in a historic run.
And for Dabbagh — now stepping into a new chapter with Zamalek — the journey is still being written.

There are places in London that everyone talks about, and then there are places whispered about. Dear Darling belongs firmly to the latter. Hidden behind a discreet Mayfair doorway, this private members’ club and late-night playground has become one of the city’s most alluring secrets.
Inside, guests are greeted by the sultry glow of The Living Room, a parlour-like space designed for decadence and conversation. Velvet seating, candlelight, and champagne service that flows deep into the night create an atmosphere reminiscent of old Mayfair glamour: intimate, elegant, and ever so slightly mischievous. Live performers drift between tables, laughter softens against the music, and time seems to lose its hold.
Beneath it all lies The Secret Basement, a darker, more provocative world. Here, the energy shifts. The lighting deepens, the music grows

bolder, and whispers turn to revelry. It is a space for those who move beyond convention; a curated crowd of collectors, creatives, and connoisseurs who know when the night should end… and when it truly begins.
Dear Darling is not a club in the conventional sense. It is a Mayfair salon for the modern hedonist; a place where art, performance, and indulgence blend seamlessly under one roof. Entry is by invitation or membership only, and its guests, from world-class athletes to film stars and financiers, share one thing in common: an appreciation of beautiful moments lived well after dark.
Because at Dear Darling, the night does not simply happen; it is orchestrated.
Discretion. Desire. Dear Darling.
