CONNAH’S QUAY MEET THE VISITORS...
Lewis Brass - Born in Newcastleupon-Tyne, Brass spent time at Darlington's Academy before moving to Carlisle United and then on to Workington and Gateshead. Brass went on to spend two years in America representing East Central College in Missouri, playing in the National Junior College Athletic Association. John Disney - Disney joined The Nomads from Conference North side, Hednesford Town in January 2016 having had previous spells at Chester, Telford, Northwich and Stockport County. Disney left Deeside in May 2017 to join Altrincham Town. Disney returned to the Cymru Premier in January 2018 with Bala Town before re-signing with The Nomads in June 2018. Callum Roberts - Roberts joined The Nomads ahead of the 2018- 19 campaign having previously played for Newtown and The New Saints. Priestley Farquharson - Farquharson joined The Nomads from Bostik League South Central Division side, Hayes and Yeading United in January 2019. Having previously played for Bishop's Stortford, Hitchin Town and Billericay Town. George Horan - Horan returned to the Deeside Stadium in 2014, having left in 2005 to join Rhyl where he played until 2010 before moving on to Chester FC where he was the club captain, making 138 appearances for the newly formed club following the demise of Chester City. Danny Harrison - Harrison is a product of the Tranmere Rovers youth system, having joined the side as a 13 year old, he made his first team debut in 2001 at home against Wigan Athletic. He went on to make 125 appearances for Tranmere before joining Rotherham United in 2007 where he made an additional 188 Football League appearances. Michael Bakare - Michael Bakare joined The Nomads in August 2017 following a lengthy career which has seen him perform in the National League, League Two and FA Cup, playing for teams including Macclesfield Town, Southport, Braintree Town, Wrexham and most recently Warrington Town. Bakare was named as the JD Welsh Premier League Player of the Season at the end of the 2018-19 season. Callum Morris - Morris, is a right-sided midfielder who came up through the ranks at Wigan Athletic, where he spent four years as a professional without managing to break into the Latics first-team. After a spell at Tranmere Rovers, Callum spent the 2014-15 season at Bangor City before joining The Nomads in June 2015. Michael Wilde - During his time at TNS, Wilde scored 151 goals in his 214 appearances. Wilde originally joined TNS (then known as Total Network Solutions) in 2002 from Poulton Victoria. of the season in the 2004-05 and 2005-06 seasons. Wilde joined Fleetwood Town in January 2009 before moving to Halifax Town and Chester where he netted 36 goals in 43 games before returning to TNS in June 2012, and was voted as the Welsh Premier League Player of The Season in the 2012-13 season. Wilde made his competitive debut for The Nomads in the Club's first ever UEFA Europa League match against Norwegian side, Stabæk Fotball in June 2016. Wilde went on to make a total of 20 competitive starts for The Nomads in 2016-17 campaign, scoring on six occasions. Jamie Insall - Insall joined The Nomads in April 2019 having spent a good portion of his career in Scotland, plying his trade at Hibernian and East Fife - Insall originally joined Hibs from Stourbridge in 2015 having also played for Littleton earlier in his career. Nathan Woolfe - Woolfe joined The Nomads in January 2016 having started his career at Bolton Wanderers. In 2008, Woolfe joined Wrexham on loan for a brief spell, before heading to Spanish Division B side, Jerez Industrial where he scored 2 goals in 10 appearances. Since then, Woolfe spent a successful spell an Northwich Victoria. In May 2014, Woolfe then joined Stockport County, making 20 starts in the Conference North. Declan Poole - Poole joined The Nomads in November 2016 having previously played at Everton U18s, Wigan Athletic and Nantwich Town. Poole made his competitive debut for The Nomads in the side's Nathaniel MG Cup Semi Final defeat to TNS, however Poole was to have more luck against TNS later in the same season, as he struck a match winning volley, which also earned him the Welsh Premier League Goal of the Month award for March. Conor Harwood - Harwood made his competitive debut for The Nomads when he started against Denbigh Town in the 2016 Nathaniel MG Cup. Harwood then went on to make Cymru Premier history as he was the first Millenium-born player to play in the league. Danny Holmes - Holmes joined The Nomads in May 2018 on the back of a successful season in the JD Welsh Premier League at Bangor City. Holmes made 33 appearances in the 2017-18 campaign for the Citizens, scoring on one ocassion. Prior to his time at Bangor, Holmes had two spells at Tranmere Rovers spanning a combined six seasons. In between, he spent tim at Southport and The New Saints, and before joining Bangor last season, Holmes has played for Fleetwood Town, Newport County, AFC Fylde and York City. Jay Owen - Jay arrived at Deeside Stadium in May 2016 and prior to his arrival, made 70 appearances for Airbus between 2013 and 2016. Jay originally started his career with Chester where he made seven Football League appearances and represented Wales at Under-17 level. Jay then moved to Barrow where he made 95 appearances in the Conference and was capped by the Wales Under-23 semi-pros. Ryan Wignall - Wignall joined The Nomads in January 2017. A product of the Liverpool Academy system, Wignall won the FA Youth Cup twice with the Merseyside giants and was a regular in the reserve side before being released. He then went on to play for AFC Liverpool, Cammell Laird, Wimborne Town, Burscough and Conwy United whilst also having a full-time spell with Belgian side Royal Racing FC Montegnee. During his time with The Wingmakers, Wignall made 39 starts along with seven substitute appearances, scoring 11 goals in the process. Tom Weir - Weir was promoted to the first team squad from the Academy ahead of the 2019-20 season and was named in the Europa League squad for the games against Kilmarnock and FK Partizan. Eric Merner - Merner was called up to the first team squad from the club's academy ahead of the 2018-19 season and was a regular on the bench throughout the league campaign. Eric represented Wales Schools U18 against Australia in early 2019.

Lakesiders to host FAW Trophy Semi Final
The details of this season’s FAW Trophy Semi Final have been announced by the Football Association of Wales.
Bala Town are delighted to be chosen as one of the venues for the FAW Trophy Semi Final ties between Llandudno Albion v Holyhead Hotspur taking place at Maes Tegid.
The match will take place on Saturday, 7th March with a 12.30p.m. kickoff.
Both teams play in the Welsh Alliance Division 1 with Holyhead currently topping the table meanwhile Llandudno Albion are 4th. It is going to be a cracker of a cup tie so please come and show your support!
McDonalds April Fun Football Sessions
The FAW Trust in partnership with Bala Town are running four weeks of FREE football sessions at Maes Tegid. Our brand new sessions is an introduction to football for any boys and girls aged between 5- 11 years old.
On Wednesday, 22nd and 29th of April, 6th and 13th of May from 5.00p.m. until 6.00p.m. we have 20 spaces up for grabs.

Club Statement: Andy Kelly
It is with regret that Bala Town F.C. advise that Andy Kelly has resigned his position of 3G Administrator due to his acceptance of a new employment offer in Chester.
Andy will continue his administrative and coaching roll within the Bala Town Academy for the foreseeable future.
The Club wishes to place on

record its sincere thanks to Andy who has been employed by the Club since September 2016 for his outstanding work in setting up and running the new 3G facility which was inaugurated at the time of his employment.
We are indebted to Andy for his enthusiasm and dedication whilst setting up procedures and processes for this new project and for its continued success over the last 3 and a half years. Andy will remain an important and influential member of the Club whilst handing over his official responsibilities for the operational activity on the 3G.
We wish Andy the very best of luck for the future in his new employment and once again emphasise our gratitude for his very hard work in setting up the organisation of the 3G facility.
Bala Town have appointed a new 3G administrator.
