Coating A layer of natural or synthetic polymer that is applied to one side of a fabric in order to give it new properties. The coating is microporous which allows water vapour from the body to pass through the garment at the same time as it prevents liquid water from the outside to enter.
Bionic-Finish® ECO Hydrophobic finishing with BIONIC-FINISH® ECO is based on a fluorine-free recipe. The finish is weatherproof, water-repellent, soil-repellent and keeps colours and fabrics looking new longer. It’s also breathable and resistant to washing.
Membrane A microporous membrane is a very thin film that is either laminated onto the fabric directly or put as interlining between two different fabrics.
Hydroguard® Homogenic polyurethane stretchable membrane which is wind and waterproof. Membrane is stitched as a protective sock inside the shoe for maximum performance. Waterproof function is verified by a walking simulator in water for no less then 15.000 steps.
Dry-Cat Homogenic polyurethane membrane which is wind and waterproof. Membrane is laminated with shoe upper materials and all key stitches are taped with waterproof tape.Function is verified by a static test in water.
WP4500
WP4500 Homogenic polyurethane stretchable membrane which is wind and waterproof. Membrane is laminated to shoe upper materials for waterproof function and optimal fitting and comfort. Waterproof function is verified by a walking simulator in water for no less than 4500 steps.
WP15000
WP15000 Homogenic polyurethane stretchable membrane which is wind and waterproof. Membrane stitched as a protective sock inside the shoe for maximum performance. Waterproof function is verified by a walking simulator in water for no less than 15000 steps.
