When the cracks beneath the surface begin to show, they must choose between maintaining the status quo or facing harsh truths about themselves, their community and the world around them.

Paul Grabowsky + Michelle Nicolle
Award-winning jazz singer Michelle Nicolle and acclaimed composer and pianist Paul Grabowsky unveil the hidden poetry within beloved ballads by artists such as Frank Sinatra and Cole Porter, transforming familiar melodies into haunting explorations of longing, heartbreak, and the bittersweet beauty of unrequited love. From jazz standards to unexpected gems, each song is stripped back to its emotional core, revealing those ephemeral moments of yearning often disguised beneath popular songs.

The Other Side of Me by Gary Lang shares the tragedy of Stolen Generations through the heartbreaking story of one man stranded between two families, continents and cultures. This achingly intimate duet confronts the destruction wrought by Motherland and colony still felt by First Nations people, but offers the redemptive beauty of singing his spirit home. At the conclusion of the work is a 15 minute facilitated in-conversation for audiences.

As mirrors of each other, and with little, if any eye contact, they reflect shared but very different experiences that are united by immense longing and pain, loneliness, and the search for joy and meaning...

Aladdin
Wednesday 24 + Thursday 25 June, 7.30pm
Much loved by children and adults of all ages, Aladdin and his adventures come to life here in a brilliant ballet production and splendour of lush costumes, breathtaking music and beautiful choreography. A wonderful story of intense love, burning passion, and bold expression full of fantasy and tragedy. Aladdin reminds us of the importance of being who we are and the peace that comes from living our lives with truth and honesty to the fullest.
Created by Michelle Cassar de Sierra and Martin Sierra for the Victorian State Ballet, this production promises to become a Favorite with Australian audiences. Heavily inspired by Carl Davis’ score and their love of Scheherazade’s story, the Sierras produced this unique ballet that introduces additional magic when the Genie of the Lamp appears from a cave of dancing jewels. In a marvellous display of classical ballet technique and stunning music and lighting, the Genie and his dancing jewels will make this cave an unforgettable experience. This production depicts Aladdin, the son of a deceased Chinese tailor, in ancient Arabia, beautifully incorporating elements inspired by the Arab world and segments from the classic ballet “La Bayadere”. With a magical display of virtuosity and mesmerizing choreographic skills, Aladdin is a show for the whole family.
