WearethrilledtoonceagainbepartofanetworkofnationwidevenuestobringLasta2024tolife. NotonlydowehaveafulldayofeventsinBackstagethisyear,butwearedelightedtobecurating andprogrammingeventsinLongfordTownaspartof‘FirstFriday’s’,aLateNightsinitiativebrought toyoubyBackstageandLongfordCountyCouncil.
OnFriday7thJune,LongfordTownwillbecomethecentreofafullnightofentertainment,with someamazingcomedyandmusic.Ourhopeisthatyoumaygointothetowntoexperienceone event,andthenstaytoenjoytherestoftheeventswehaveprogrammedrightthroughthenight.
Thefestivaldoesn’tstopthere,withafullprogrammeofworkshopsandperformancesinBackstage TheatreplannedonSaturday8th.Ifyou’veeverwonderedaboutareasoftheartssuchas photography,acting,music,orfilmmaking,thereisaworkshopforyouonthisday.Andyoucan roundthisoffwithaperformancefromJamieDuffyonthemainstage.

AspartoftheNationalLastaFestival2024,ouryoungcuratorsareprogrammingaselectionofshortfilmstobe screenedonlinetocelebratethenationwidefestivalhappeningfromJune3rd-June9th2024.
Lastaislookingtopromotefilmsmadebyfilmmakersaged18-30fromorlivingontheislandofIreland.Wewill acceptallgenresofshortfilm,documentaries,animation,studentfilm,musicvideo,dancefilm,experimental films,Irishlanguagefilmsandotherlanguages.Submissionscanbeasshortasyouwishbutnolongerthan15 minutesinlength.
