PASSPORT

BOOKLETS

Passport Books are coming home starting in October for our younger students. This includes dancers in our Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet, PreHip Hop, Ballet Basics, Ballet/Tap, Ballet/Jazz, Hip Hop Basics, Hip Hop/Flip Flop, and Broadway Bound classes. Passport Booklets highlight skills the dancers are working on in class and teachers recognize students' diligence toward completing the skills by placing stickers in their booklets These have been a big hit with our young dancers in the past! Please help us in teaching your child about responsibility by assuring they bring the Passport Booklet to class every week to earn stickers and recognition and that the booklet does not get left behind in the classroom or cubbies.

Is your dancer dressed appropriately for class? We are strictly enforcing dress code this year, so make sure your dancer comes to class with the required dancewear. Proper dress code allows our instructors to see body lines and correct technique, keeps our dance floors clean and dirt free, and helps your child to focus on classroom instruction. Please see our Dress Code HERE.

DON’T FORGET!

DRESS CODE

Coming next month… BACKSTAGE DRESS CODE CONTEST! From November 6th through November 18th, teachers will be entering their classes into a raffle to win an Ice Cream Social whenever they have perfect dress code from all students in their class! Three classes will win an Ice Cream Social that will take place at the end of class the week of November 27th. Make sure your dancer comes to class in proper dress for a chance to win!

DID YOU KNOW ... that Backstage Dance Studio started as McKimson Roberts Dance Studio in 1984?

The studio was originally located in Factoria Mall where Nordstrom Rack is now located. We moved to 13410 SE 32nd Street in Bellevue (currently our satellite building) in the spring of 1987. At that time, the studio’s name was changed to

Atypical Approaches: Unlock the Brilliance of Your Differently-Wired Kid

October 10, 2023, 1:00 p.m.

REGISTER NOW

Right now, millions of children are growing up in a world that doesn’t respect, support, or embrace who they inherently are. Some children are just “differently wired” kids with neurodifferences such as ADHD, autism, learning disorders and more. What if instead of seeing their differences as deficiencies we recognized the beauty and brilliance of our atypical kids and empowered others to do the same?

Join ParentMap for an enlightening conversation with bestselling author, speaker, and the CEO and founder of Tilt Parenting, Debbie Reber, as she shares strategies for supporting your differently-wired kid that will help your family move from surviving to thriving.

Learn how to:

Foster a connected and secure relationship with your child

Recognize and celebrate your child’s strength

Make easy, effective changes to your everyday routines that work for your family

Advocate for and equip your child to maximize their learning and growth
