Protagonistas del relevo generacional más importante de los últimos años por tratarse cada vez más, de un mundo globalizado. Familias que, en el caso de República Dominicana, migraron desde Europa para comenzar una nueva vida y que consiguieron importantes éxitos tras años de trabajo. La familia D’Alessandro no es una excepción. A pesar de la truculenta relación de la Hispaniola con algunas naciones del Viejo Continente y de las amenazas de intervencionismo norteamericano de Theodore Roosvelt con la doctrina Monroe, en 1927 arriba a República Dominicana. Su abuelo, el arquitecto Guido D’Alessandro Lombardi diseñó el actual Palacio Nacional de República Dominicana que comenzó a construirse en 1944 con motivo del primer centenario de la Independencia Nacional. También erigió el Mercado Modelo de Santiago de los Caballeros, el hospital José María Cabral y Báez y el canal de Villa Vásquez, entre otras obras, iniciando la fábrica de vidrios, que luego adquirió el dictador Rafael Leónidas Trujillo, identificando tierras óptimas para el propósito en Samaná y las canteras de mármol de esa provincia. Su padre, Armando D’Alessandro Tavárez, el mayor de siete hermanos destacó por ser un empresario exitoso, modesto, sencillo, dueño de una educación paradigmática. Empresario especializado en el transporte de combustibles Armando D’Alessandro forjó junto con su padre la tradición marítima y su amor por el mar a través de la pesca deportiva, sobre todo, el marlín. Por eso, Comodoro de los Auxiliares Navales Dominicanos, lidera la organización civil que labora junto con la Armada Dominicana en la educación y preservación del medio ambiente. His grandfather the architect Guido D`Alessandro Lombardi designed the actual National Palace in Santo Domingo. He started building it as a tribute to the first anniversary of the National Independence in 1944. He also erected the model market in Santiago de los Caballeros, Jose María Cabral and Báez Hospital, the Villa Vásquez Channel among other works. He even placed the first foundation stone of a glass factory that was subsequently taken by the dictator Rafael Leónidas Trujillo. He also identified ideal pieces of land for developing Samaná as a tourist destination as well as the marble quarries located in the same providence. His father, Armando D`Alessandro Tavárez the oldest of 7 brothers was a prominent and the most successful business man, modest, easygoing, and welleducated pragmatic person back then. He was very knowledgeable about Gas Transportation. Armando D`Alessandro built along with his father a marine tradition and his love for the sea through the sport fishing. The Marlin was his favorite. Thus, as the Commodore of the Dominican Marine Rescuers, he leads this civil organization that works with the Dominican Army in order to promote education and environmental safeguarding.
