Commitment
We are dedicated to making your education affordable. Your eligibility for need-based financial aid programs is calculated each year.
1. We will meet 100 percent of your demonstrated need in your first year. Based on the College Scholarship Service (CSS) Profile, the total of your family’s expected contribution is subtracted from your student expense budget to determine your need for financial aid funds.
2. Students awarded the Babson Grant will receive the same award amount for four years, provided there are no major changes in your family’s financial circumstances, your enrollment status, the number of dependent children enrolled in an undergraduate program, or a change in residence preference.
Financial Aid Application Process
You submit both your financial information and your parents’ and/or guardians’ information using two applications. We use the CSS PROFILE to determine your expected family contribution and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine your eligibility for federal financial aid programs.

2025-2026 Cost Breakdown
Please note, the total cost is not your personal net cost. This breakdown does not consider any of the factors that go into awarding a financial aid package. Your net cost will be the total cost of attendance minus the amount of aid you receive.
Calculate Your Net Cost
We encourage students and families to look at the net cost of college, not the total estimated cost. To calculate the net price, we provide two tools:

What A Financial Aid Package Includes
A typical financial aid package will include a combination of grants, scholarships, loans, and other offerings depending on your financial needs and academic and extracurricular profile.
NEED-BASED AID Grants
Grants are a form of financial aid your school or federal or state government provides that you do not repay. The U.S. Department of Education offers specific grants, including Pell Grants, to students who qualify. Babson College offers its own resources, over $50 million for 2025-2026, in the form of Babson Grants to meet financial need. Babson commits to the same Babson Grant amount for all four years as outlined in the Babson Financial Aid Commitment.
Loans
You also can take out loans from the U.S. Department of Education. You borrow and pay them back after leaving school, and there are financing options to help pay your balance. Subsidized loans don’t accrue interest while you’re in school, but unsubsidized loans do.
Work-Study
Federal funding allows schools to hire students to work part time on campus. If you qualify, you can apply for jobs during your time at Babson, helping support your education and build your skill set. Non-work study students also can pursue opportunities on campus through Campus Employment.
SCHOLARSHIPS
There are two types of scholarships you may receive: need-based and merit-based.
Need-based scholarships are determined based on your family’s income and asset information.
Merit-based scholarships are an award offered in recognition of student achievements. Unlike need-based financial aid, merit-based financial aid does not consider the financial need of the student or family. Community, nonprofit, and private organizations also offer scholarships along with Babson’s options.
Here are sample financial aid packages for the current 2025-2026 academic year for various families of four (4) with one (1) student in college. In addition to the school’s package, students can pursue other financial options, including local scholarships.
