Inventor Continues… some fun. I really enjoying creating and building things and I remember doing a lot with plexy glass. My second favorite class was metal-smith where we actually created our own little boxes and things out of metal and I did a coffin. I don’t know why but I did. Do you have any products on the market? I don’t have any products on the market; however, I’ve invented a watch that is part watch and part pencil sharpener. I’ve invented a bath set for children and some things that you put on your shoes to put them together. Most of them are nothing earthshaking but more so are novelty items. So, what excites you about this world of inventing? It
is endless; you can always add something to it. Let’s say I invent something; well, someone can come right behind me and take what I have done and add a little twist or a little more to it and make it better. Somebody can even take what they just did and make it even better than that. I just like the idea that we can build on and build on and keep building. To really think about the Wright Brothers and the airplane that they first built and the jets that we got now; of course, it’s night and day but whow, look how that turned into this. So, I kind of like that idea. Even the light bulb we used in comparison to that good ole fashion flashlight. There is so many things that you can do with an invention to take it to the next level.

I was the first in my family to go off and finished college and then I encourage my siblings to go and their children as well as my own. This is what has given me the drive and determination to do my very best. When I come to work and see a student who may need that little conversation that grandmother gave me; I can share this with them because I understand the results of it.”
