WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU RETURN TO THE HARRISBURG JCC

AN ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE FEDERATION/JCC TEAM

n Monday, July 6, the Harrisburg JCC Fitness Center reopened for limited hours and capacity. We have many entrance and safety procedures in place for our reopening. Please know that while your visits to the JCC may look a little different at this time, these procedures are in place to keep you and our community members safe and healthy while at the JCC. Below is a list of frequently asked questions and information to know before visiting the Harrisburg JCC. This information can also be found at www.jewishharrisburg.org/reopeningfaqs and we recommend you view the online version to get continual updates as new information and programs become available. HEALTH AND SAFETY What do I need to do before entering the JCC? For the health and safety of our members, all participants must complete a waiver (found on our website) before entering the facility. You will only need to submit the form once upon your initial visit back to the JCC. What new safety procedures are in place for entering the JCC? All exercise-related visits will need to be scheduled using our online forms for the fitness center and indoor pool. Capacity is limited and no walk-ins will be permitted. Each time you enter the facility, you will need to have your temperature taken and answer a series of health questions. If you have a fever of 100 degrees or higher or you appear to be ill, you will not be admitted into the building and will not be permitted to return or make reservations for at least three days. We need your

assistance keeping everyone healthy. If you have a fever, please do not endanger fellow members by taking a fever reducing medication to relieve this symptom. Do I need to wear a mask in the building? All individuals will be required to wear masks at all times while visiting the JCC. All employees will wear masks when in common areas of the JCC. Will the locker rooms be available to use? The locker room will only be available for restroom usage. Showers will be closed except for showering before using the pool. Please come to the JCC prepared in your exercise gear. What can I bring with me to the JCC? In an effort to minimize risk, you will only be permitted to bring in the following items: • Towel • Member Id Card (or a picture of it on your phone) REQUIRED (you won’t be admitted to the JCC without having this with you) • Waiver (REQUIRED for initial return visit) • Keys • Water Bottle • Phone • Mask • Prescribed medication • Small bag to carry your belongings Who is permitted in the JCC? Can I bring guests or kids? Only members are permitted -- No guests are allowed in the JCC at this time. No children under 14 will be allowed to enter the fitness center or pool (unless during a family swim block).

SANITIZATION What is being done to promote a clean and safe environment inside the JCC? We have the following sanitation procedures in place at this time: • •

The building (including the HVAC system) has been sanitized and is being maintained on a daily basis. A touchless sink (using a foot pedal) has been installed outside the main entrance through mid-August for

your use before entering and after exiting the JCC. Fitness staff will be cleaning machines and equipment on an ongoing basis. Members will be required to clean machines and equipment before and after each use. Staff will be wearing masks at all times in common areas. Hand sanitizer is available throughout the building and we encourage you to use as needed. All members will be asked to wear a mask at all times Anyone who has or has been in contact with a person with COVID-19 and who has been to the JCC will be asked to let the staff at the JCC know. We will be following Department of Health procedures and will consult our Medical Advisory Team on further procedures. We are asking members to sign up in advance for time at the fitness center or pool so that we employ a reduced capacity. Our cardio equipment will be spaced at a distance and we will utilize social distancing measures throughout the center. If swimming, you must come to the JCC wearing your swimsuit and bring a towel. You will need to take a quick shower prior to entering the pool. You will not be permitted to use the locker room to store belongings - bring a small bag for your clothing and towel and bring that bag with you to into the pool area. When you leave, you will need to cover yourself with your towel or your dry clothing but may not use the changing room.

Will staff and members be notified if someone who was at the JCC has contracted, or suspects that they have contracted COVID-19, and how will this be handled? Yes. We will be transparent in our communications while following the legal guidelines protecting anonymity of those (potentially) infected. We will follow Pennsylvania Department of Health protocols for notification, cleaning, closures, and reopening. If you suspect you have contracted COVID-19 and have been at the JCC within the previous 72 hours, please notify Jenn Ross at j.ross@jewishfedhbg.org or 717-236-9555 x 3104 so we can determine with DOH if contact tracing and confidential notification needs to occur.
