About Us

Azure Urban Developments was formed in 2010 by John Thomas, a native of Ottawa who returned to the Nation’s Capital after spending 15 years living and working in cities around the world including, Toronto, San Francisco, Abu Dhabi, Paris, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. Azure’s vision is defined by these experiences and, simply stated, is to bring world-class architecture and design to Ottawa and to improve the physical and life aesthetic of the communities in which it develops. We aspire to be a boutique builder of quality multi-family residential products.

Building Details

The Azure Westboro is unlike any other. It is a boutique hotel masquerading as an apartment building. Designed by leading national architecture firm, BDP Quadrangle, the Azure Westboro celebrates great design. On the outside, vertical fins undulate for 20 stories framed by imported floor-to-ceiling European windows, all perched on a grand 6-storey red brick podium reflecting the history of Westboro. Inside, you are greeted by our concierge and invited to spend time in our grand lobby working or mingling with your fellow residents.

Our amenities have been carefully curated to keep you active, engaged and entertained. Your journey begins upon entering our hotel-style lobby designed as an extension of your suite, a place for co-working or just hanging out. At over 2000 sq. ft, this is not merely a passthrough but a destination in its own right. With extensive seating, art and an elegant interior designed, this lobby will become your second home and the primary focal point for social activities at the Azure.
