MESSAGE FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL
It is my pleasure to present the Impact Report for the 2022-2023 academic year. This report highlights some of the remarkable accomplishments and milestones that our school community has achieved over the past year.
One of the most significant highlights of the year was our successful return to a relatively normal school year after two years of virtual and hybrid learning. Our students, faculty, and staff all showed tremendous resilience, adaptability, and determination in navigating the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Seeing our students actively participating in activities, engaging with one another, and immersing themselves in their studies has been truly inspiring.

Academically, our students achieved remarkable success, with many demonstrating significant growth and achieving impressive results. Our faculty and staff have continued to provide innovative and engaging learning opportunities, ensuring that our students receive a high-quality education that is grounded in Jewish values and traditions.
Beyond academic achievement, our students have also made a significant impact in the broader community. They have engaged in projects that embody the Jewish values of chesed and
Tikkun Olam, making a real and positive difference in the lives of others. Whether through community service, social justice initiatives, or environmental sustainability projects, our students have demonstrated a deep commitment to making the world a better place.
None of this would have been possible without the dedication and hard work of our entire Talmud Torah | Herzliah community. From our faculty and staff to our students and families, everyone has played a critical role in achieving these impressive results. I am grateful for the support and partnership of each and every one of you.
As we look ahead to the next school year, I am confident that we will continue to build on this success and make an even greater impact in our Montreal Jewish community and beyond.
Thank you for your continued commitment to our school and our shared values.

Message From The President
As President of the Board of Directors, I am proud to report that our school has made significant strides in achieving our goals and fulfilling our mission of providing an exceptional education that fosters both academic and personal growth for our students.
Our commitment to Jewish values is at the heart of everything we do at our school. Our students not only receive a world-class education but also develop a deep understanding and appreciation of their Jewish heritage and traditions. We are proud to provide an inclusive and welcoming environment that embraces the diversity of our Jewish community.
One of the highlights of the past year was the engagement of our Board Members in propelling our school forward. Our Board Members have been actively involved in shaping our school’s strategic direction, identifying key priorities, and working collaboratively to ensure our school’s continued success. After a year-long process of self reflection, we are near the completion of a rigorous accreditation process with Prizmah, which has helped us to identify areas for improvement and enhancement. In parallel, the Board of Directors together with administrators has worked tirelessly to develop a new strategic plan for the next 3-5 years, which provides a roadmap for our school’s future growth and success.
We are also proud to report progress in advancing plans to build a new facility for Talmud Torah within the Sylvan Adams YM YWHA. This new facility will provide our students with state-of-the-art learning spaces and support our school’s continued growth and development.
Finally, our school is in a healthy financial position, thanks to the generous support of our donors and community partners. We are committed to using these resources wisely and to continuing to invest in our students’ education and well-being.
In closing, I would like to leave you with a quote from Pirkei Avot, which reads: “You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to desist from it (2:21).” This quote embodies the spirit of our school’s mission and the commitment of our Board Members to continue striving towards our goals. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to our Board Members for their tireless efforts, dedication, and unwavering support. Your hard work has been instrumental in driving our school’s progress and ensuring our continued success. Thank you for all that you do, and we look forward to the great things that we will achieve together in the future.
Thank you for your ongoing support of our school, and for your commitment to our mission of providing an exceptional education to our students. We look forward to sharing more updates with you in the years ahead.
