Senior Spotlight by darlene holmes We really received lots of nice items in the bags and boxes of stuff from the Food Bank last Friday. I think everyone left happy. There was some good stuff left for Food Bank Bingo also. Our No SCS Hot Meal Day for March was Tuesday, March 11 and we played Food Bank Bingo, too. Our next No SCS Meal Day will be Monday, March 24 and we’ll play White Elephant Bingo that day, as well. You still need to bring a White Elephant gift to play. If you win, you can choose which you want – a gift or a grocery bag left from Food Bank Day. The SCS Annual Food Handlers Class and the Volunteer Class will be this Friday, March 14. The Volunteer Class will be first so those who don’t wish to help work in the kitchen and serve lunch may leave after the Volunteer Class is over. Jill Roe is our secretary on the Center Council and she recently drew up a form and passed out to the seniors to ask what kinds of activities they’d like to start doing. She is compiling the results and will get back to us soon. There were some pretty good ideas if the seniors will get up out of their chairs and participate in them. We’re also open to more suggestions. Drop by for a cup of coffee and pick up the March menu
