Azle Police Blotter Officers with the Azle Police Department arrested the following individuals during the week of Feb. 23-March 1: Shannon Lanay Ashmore, 35, of Azle, was arrested Feb. 24 in the 500 block of Northwest Parkway and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) with a child passenger less than 15 years of age. The offense is a state jail felony. Ashmore was transported to the Parker County jail. She posted $5,000 bond and was released from jail Feb. 27. Tracy Denene Bettinger, 30, was arrested Feb. 28 in the

800 block of Boyd Road and charged with possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 1, less than one gram. She remained in the Azle jail March 3 in lieu of $3,000 bond. A 23-year-old Azle woman was arrested Feb. 23 in the 700 block of Boyd Road and charged with theft less than $50. She was issued a citation and released from the Azle jail. A 22-year-old Azle woman was arrested Feb. 23 in the 700 block of Boyd Road and charged with theft less than $50. She was issued a citation and released from the Azle jail.
