Societat Doctor Alonso,a stage company directed by Tomás Aragay (theater director and playwright) and Sofía Asencio (dancer and choreographer) begins its residency at the Centre within the framework of Lanean. Artistic processes support programme. Hammamturgia is a new research process in a scenic format that reflects on the “hammamturgia”, understood as "the other" of dramaturgy. In the research and creations carried out to date, the company has always worked with the notion of “open source”. "We work with guidelines that are conceptually delimited through practice, and with a development that confronts the public as a liminal space: the reception shall be open and dark at the same time, the audience goes through a state of uncertainty, since the understanding of the work is shown in some way encrypted by that code. The key is within the work itself. The spectator has to go into it to be able to decipher it", they reflect from Societat Alonso. In this sense, in this project they set some research parameters to generate an internal code again. "A code that revolves around the ideas of "hammamturgy "and environment, and that will have to have enough variables that are readable for the audience - and that leave room for their imagination", the creators explain. At the end of their residency period, the company will open its space to share its creative processes and carry out an open rehearsal with the interested audience.
