Frandvar Grudder examined them and determined they had been severely damaged by what seemed to be pickaxes. They moved further inside after protests from the yelling voice. Kyla was denying this to be a haunting and felt like someone was messing with them Grudder taunted the person yelling to show themselves and the group found themselves surrounded by a group of skeletons
A Haunting at Hearthglen Mine

The Shikari Collective traveled north via portal to investigate the reported haunting of a mine in Hearthglen, located in the western plaguelands. When they arrived at the mine, a note at the entrance stated nobody should enter the place because it belonged to death Ignoring the notice, the group entered and were greeted by a loud and angry voice yelling for them to leave and accusing them of being thieves.
When they made it about half way through, they found human remains
Even with a clear advantage of numbers and skill, they found their opponents to be more difficult than they thought V had a knife thrown at her and Grudder had finger bones shot at him, causing injuries and lost tempers Manitria burned a skeleton to death with moonfire and Grudder smashed in the skull of another. After a heated battle and sanity lowered, the journey continued.
V continued deeper into the mine, hearing the spooky voice of the ghost and wanting to investigate further to locate the source Once more the group was attacked, V having gone on ahead and escaped the fight. Kyla ended a skeleton with her solid note while a member burned another to ash After another successful battle, the rest of the group moved on to seek out V
They used Grudder's magic eye as a source of light as they continued onward, Kyla holding it up like a torch. Meanwhile, V found a music box and decided to use it This freaked out Kyla and she hid behind Grudder, his height not doing much to hide the taller Kaldorei woman
By this time, Grudder had lost a lot of his sanity at the perspective of a real haunting and he became cold and closed off The ghost appeared before them, humming the tune of the music box He taunted the ghost, aggravating V, who managed to get the ghost to say he only wanted his locket back, the only memory he had of his wife and daughter who died in the fall of Lorderon. After more taunting from the grumpy Grudder, Kyla hugged him and told him he and the ghost had much in common, stating he needed to consider empathy in this situation, trying to calm him down Together, the group offered to help find the locket
They left the mine and began speaking to the miners and guards in town V yelled at people and Grudder created a small explosion, the elves seeing a flame from it took off running This left humans They spotted a nervous guard nearby A member approached and began questioning him. He handed over the locket and a member passed it on to V. They returned to the mine and V gave the locket back to the ghost, placing it with his bones after answering the ghost's request to open it
The spirit of the ghost's wife joined him, finally reunited after the tragedy of Stratholme separated them years ago. He asked about his daughter and the wife stated she had not joined her in the beyond and she might have made it out alive. This realization allowed them to both pass on. Grudder finally calmed down enough to show respect for the dead, lighting a candle in rememberance Those who caught a glance of the daughter in the locket stated they recognized her in Stormwind and vowed to one day reunite her with the remains of her father.
Together they all returned to Stormwind. Kyla went to bed while the others celebrated their victory A few days later, a member would find the girl, a woman now, and inform her of what transpired The fact her father escaped and lived a while longer made her happy. She wanted to get his belongings, a certain sword being of special interest to her. She requested a member and his group escort her there and he said he would speak to his friends about it later

Experience Azeroth Finest at the World’s Faire!
REPORTER: Sulavan E.
It is no secret that the World's Faire Carnival makes for a day of excitement and entertainment! Enjoy thrilling combat, delicious food, and amazing games Delight in the colorful decorations and fun atmosphere Celebrating the spirit of discovery and exploring a world of endless possibilities.
This is not the first year folks from near and far have flocked to the docks in Ramkahen, and Mar’at of Uldum to see various performances and support local vendors Of course the atmosphere this year was nothing short of warm and welcoming like the sun that greeted them upon entry There was no shortage of heat this spring, as many of the fairgoers were spotted with umbrellas and summer attire. Some found their way to the edges of the water to dip their toes in while others took to the tents of the vendors to beat the heat and hydrate with cool, refreshing beverages, and treats offered by various sellers!
To start the week-long event off, Runaway Theater Troupe graced viewers with a spectacular firework show and re-telling of histories from each point of Azeroth It was not long until the festivities were underway and folks who had signed up for and were not limited to DICED, Rhyme Battles, Sparring, and fashion contests moved to their respective districts to begin. Those brave enough to appear before their fellow attendees showed their skill in open mic and storytelling, reciting personal and favorite stories and songs!
It seemed the fan favorite, DICED was no short of its usual hype as it drew crowds larger than normal to view the competing chefs as they sliced and diced their way to number one Each chef gave it their all preparing and serving up for each different category to make their three-course meal Chefs were asked to incorporate three mystery ingredients into their dishes, some choosing to skillfully flavor their dish with the ingredients and others making it the center of attention The finalist of this year's DICED event was Nia Dawnshield in third, Finnegan Quill in second and the leading chef taking home the full “Five Stars”, Dorian Valliquette in first place.
Some of the vendors this year are returning faces but others such as Lomus Halder, an upcoming author, made his way to the market to promote his book “Words from the Blackwald” This beautiful piece of literature entails folklore, songs, and poetry, descending from his hometown of Gilneas. Halder stated that he had made quite the profit this year from book sales, and was happy to see fairgoers not only enjoying his own work, but also the other vendors sprinkled out throughout the market The author also was quite impressed with the amount of security this year, and how they handled keeping so many attendees safe
To end the week off, another spectacular show lighting up the evening sky, accompanied by song and music Cheers, applause, and of course, the occasional sob could be heard from the crowds as they gave their last hurrah. Fairgoers would then be ushered into the cool depths of the Underground Rave to dance and celebrate such a magnificent week and to give their last goodbyes to friends made Remarks could be overheard, as the crowds dispersed over, of the joy all will share in attending next year’s fair to celebrate again in a weeks long journey of duels, feasts, song, and dance at the World's Faire Carnival
Ga’nar’s Victory
REPORTER: Xulk
Orcish philosophy has long been dominated by Lok’tar Ogar, Victory or Death The idea that you must achieve victory, or failing that die in the attempt However, this notion was challenged by one of the greatest philosophers of our age, Ga’nar of the Frost Wolves born from a Draenor lost to time. In the heroic defense of Thunder Pass, Ga’nar realized that he needed to stall the approaching Thunderlord orcs to defend his home

Ga’nar ran into the pass alone, taking on the entire Thunderlord advance. He gave Drek’Thar enough time to seal the pass and prevent the advancing forces At the moment of his death, Ga’nar shouted out “Lok’Tar” At this moment, Ga’nar realized that there was another option, instead of Victory or Death, making it no longer a choice but instead assuring Victory by itself
Lok’tar Ogar is meant to challenge cowardice in battle Through fear, we may run too early from battles we may yet win, but ultimately, when loss is certain there is nothing to be gained from death. Like Ga’nar we must find victory through nuance, choosing our battles more carefully than a simple binary would dictate
What Ga’nar’s thesis fails to capture however is what happens to the survivors Many of us have achieved neither Victory nor Death... or as wracked by wars as our worlds are, have felt both victory and defeat, yet endured despite it Many have been injured and been unable to complete their battles despite their best efforts

We do not have a single battle upon which our death should hinge, we have had long campaign after long campaign While a collective victory is possible... we cannot win every battle, and many of those battles will leave us breathing and bleeding still While we should seek it, most of us will not find Ga’nar’s perfect victory We should have mercy for the survivors, for such a term describes us all
